This venue really is exceptional as the title suggests.
Having been engaged for over 10 years and been to many weddings ourselves, my new wife and I decided it was time we tied the knot and it all started when my now wife worked at the venue on behalf of another bride, telling me “You’ve got to see this venue”. We booked a viewing and a week later we had secured our date. Villiers barn was the only venue we viewed and we instantly knew this was going to be ‘our’ wedding venue.
The Day family are such a wonderful and beautiful team, with Jonathan being the face of the operation, do not underestimate the attention to detail and how kind caring his sister and parents are… Juliette is a real diamond of a mum and an integral part of the business and really makes you feel part of the ‘Villiers family’ whenever you see her.
We booked two years in advance and Jonathan was there with us every step of the way. Nothing was ever too much to ask and he was always so understanding and professional with his advice and help. We had his telephone number and email address and asked many questions, that were always answered promptly and professionally.
As for the wedding day itself… WOW! We were simply blown away and made to feel like royalty. Jonathan and the staff at the venue were exceptional throughout.
The bridal preparation room and venue was available from 8:30am to begin getting ready and dressing the tables leaving plenty of time to make sure everything was perfectly put together. There’s plenty of room in the bridal preparation room and even with most of my wives family and friends in there it never felt a squeeze.
Jonathan acted as our host for the day and he often checked in on us, made sure we were well stocked with food and drink, even giving us our own waiter during the drinks reception with our own grazing board of canapés. We honestly never had to ask for anything, as he was on top of every single thing you could think of.
Despite the hot weather, the ceremony room was cool and airy and didn’t feel cramped or like there was too much empty space in the room. We had a singer rather than music and she was able to be in a place where her voice could be heard by all, but not in the way of the photographer.
The music playing throughout the venue on the speakers was always at the right volume and was far more than adequate for the space.
The food was outstanding! From the canapés, to the BBQ main meal, which was cooked using top quality, locally sourced, fresh meats, to the evening food that was served, was beautifully prepared and perfectly cooked. The BBQ did not leave me feeling hugely stuffed or bloated, but left us and our guests completely satisfied afterwards. The desert (brownie and ice cream) was to die for!
As for the evening, it got pretty lively and this was never an issue for Jonathan and the Villiers team. The bar was never overrun, nor overly expensive and the rarely seen NOAM beers were a beer that was popular and enjoyed by many and again, the food, which was the mixed baps and cheese on toast, was delicious and served precisely on time!
We also stayed in the lake lodge on the night of the wedding and what a beautiful setting this is to see in your first night as a married couple. The lodge is warm & cozy and fairly sound proof. Waking up, opening the curtains and enjoying the continental breakfast was the perfect start to married life and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone getting married there. The bed is SO comfortable!
Our advice to anyone considering booking your wedding at this venue, do not hesitate. Go and meet Jonathan and the rest of his family and you’ll get a feeling that is unrivaled at any other wedding venue.
Most wedding venues are about the money, whereas this venue is completely about the experience.
If we could do it again tomorrow, we’d book Villiers Barn in a heartbeat.
Our photographer was Dale Zimmerman who is recommended by the venue and again, we couldn’t recommend him highly enough! His prices were great and we had such a laugh throughout the day with Dale’s completely laid back style of photography. We also had ‘contentbykerrie’ (instagram) as a content creator. Her and Dale worked perfectly together and were a perfect combination of getting the photos and clips we wanted, together with them using their experience as wedding photographers to get the pictures they knew would really help us to remember the beauty of our wedding and the location.

Well what can I say but WOW!!
The whole day at Villiers barn was absolutely amazing, getting married outside, canapés and cocktails, the food was the best we’ve ever had at a wedding, that was what our guests said, and they were right it was exceptional.
Dealing with Barry, Jeanette, Rebecca and Jonathan was a pleasure from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble, we were treated like family and made to feel incredibly special.
There was never a queue to get a drink there were more than enough staff to keep everyone served, the evening buffet was truly amazing and is still spoken about when we meet up with guests.
I cannot recommend this venue highly enough, it is exceptional, and we would not change a thing about our day.
The team truly are the most wonderful people.
If you are not sure where to book, make this your choice you will not be disappointed. -

From the second we stepped into Villiers Barn to have a look around we both felt so calm and comfortable and you all made us feel so relaxed. Nothing has seemed too much for you to help us with and we couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you for all your help on the lead up to our day and during our day, it all ran so smoothly because of you. Wedding venue of dreams!
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect wedding venue than Villiers Barn. From the moment we first visited, we knew it was the one, and our wedding day was everything we could have dreamed of and more.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our day. Every little detail made it feel so special, and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous it was.
What really made Villiers Barn stand out, though, was the incredible team. They were so helpful, supportive and accommodating throughout the whole process. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but having a team who genuinely cared about making our day perfect made such a difference. A special thank you to Jonathan nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and we always felt listened to and looked after.
On the wedding day itself, everything ran so smoothly. We were able to relax and enjoy every moment knowing we were in such capable hands. The team went above and beyond to make sure everything was exactly how we wanted it, and we are so grateful for all the hard work that went on behind the scenes.
We will forever look back on our wedding day with the biggest smiles, and Villiers Barn will always hold such a special place in our hearts. We genuinely couldn’t recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for their perfect wedding venue.

The Perfect Wedding Venue & Staff
We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding. From start to finish, the whole team were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to make sure our day was everything we had hoped for and more.
The venue itself was absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our wedding. Every detail was taken care of, and the team were so helpful, attentive and accommodating throughout the planning process and on the day itself. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and we always felt that we were in safe hands.
Our wedding day was genuinely everything we could have wished for, and the venue played such a huge part in making it so special. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful the setting was and how fantastic everything had been.
A massive thank you to the entire team for all of your hard work, care and support. We will always have incredibly fond memories of the venue and our wedding day, and we couldn’t recommend you highly enough to anyone looking for the perfect place to get married.

Incredible venue, highly recommend!
We couldn’t rate Villiers Barn and the incredible team any higher. The whole process start to finish was so smooth and stress free. The Villiers team are so professional but also so kind and personal. There wasn’t anything we asked that they didn’t respond promptly and find a way to deliver.
On the day itself, everything was absolutely perfect. The team worked so seamlessly behind the scenes that we were able to completely relax and enjoy every moment of our wedding day, knowing we were in the safest of hands. They went above and beyond to make everything feel personal to us, and nothing ever felt like too much trouble.
Villiers Barn is such a beautiful venue, but it’s the people that truly make it special. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would recommend Villiers Barn to anyone looking for the perfect wedding venue. When we viewed Villiers Barn back in 2024 we were blown away. An absolutely beautiful venue with so much character, we knew this was where we wanted to get married. Jonathan was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. His communication and organisation were second to none.
June 18th was the best day of our lives. All of our friends and family told us us how beautiful the venue was and how brilliant Jonathan and his colleagues were on the day. Making sure we were all looked after & had everything we needed. Becky was wonderful & checked in with us in the on the morning of the wedding in the bridal suite. She got us everything we needed and completely calmed my nerves.
The food was incredible. We had canapés, a 3 course meal & evening food. All of our vegetarians & guests with dietary requirements were looked after throughout the day putting my mind at ease. Jonathan checked in with our photographer, DJ, & sweet graze caterers. Everything ran so smoothly letting Glenn & I enjoy our day with family and friends.
I honestly cannot fault Villiers Barn. We had the time of our lives and wish we could do it all over again. Thank you SO much to Jonathan, Becky, Ellen and the whole team. You were all incredible.

We fell in love with Villiers the moment we viewed it in December 2024. Jonathan was absolutely brilliant throughout the whole process, always communicating with us and answering any questions we had. He completely put us at ease, and he, his family and the whole team went above and beyond to make sure our day was absolutely perfect.
We had an outdoor ceremony by the lake, which was stunning, followed by an extended cocktail hour in the courtyard and finally our wedding breakfast in the barn. Every transition throughout the day was seamless and everything flowed perfectly.
We’ve had so many of our guests tell us how amazing the day was and that it was one of the best weddings they’ve ever been to. We genuinely can’t put into words how thankful we are to the entire Villiers team for making our wedding day so incredibly special.
We couldn’t recommend Villiers, Jonathan and the team highly enough. Thank you for giving us the most perfect day and memories that we will cherish forever 🤍 -
