The very best wedding venue we could have hoped for. We were desperate for a wedding venue after last year's cancellation, so checked out the brochure on 4th June last year, had a video tour in the evening, visited on the 6th, booked it and deposit paid on the 9th, we were that impressed by what we saw (admittedly a building site).
Risk paid off. The venue were on the ball enough so that the legal ceremony could be outside on the shores of Windermere, so we had an unforgettable occasion - the sounds of the waves breaking, birds in the trees, made for a really natural, wild ceremony.
The barn has been done spectacularly, suitable for 60-90 I'd think, with a smart terrace outside with decking overlooking the lawn.
There was accommodation for 9 couples, in 3 separate areas, and the best man said it would have been great if it was half as good. It's the little things - there were 25 plug sockets in one room, so it's not like those annoying hotel rooms where you have to put your phone on charge 3 metres away. The communal nature of the cottages makes it great for getting together to chill the night before and getting ready in the morning (some people can't be trusted to dress themselves). It's these little things that made it such a great venue. We chilled out the evening before with a BBQ on the beach, trying out standing up paddle boarding, which due to the size of the venue was away from the thoughts of the wedding the next day.
Cheryl and Ness went above and beyond what was required from them, they coped with my mad schemes and there were no hidden costs that popped up (nonsense you get in other venues like having to pay for a dance floor etc). With the effort that has gone into it and the potential in the estate, I think it will get better in the next few years, as the garden area matures. Cheryl was very responsive with questions, and accommodating of any issues we had.
I knew of at least a dozen guests who personally mentioned what a great venue it is. No matter what theme you're looking for, you'll not go far wrong with Town Head. We got married at Town Head over the weekend, and it truly was the best wedding weekend we could ever have wished for! We genuinely can’t thank everyone at Town Head enough.
From the moment we first visited for a viewing late last year, we knew it was the place we wanted to get married. Grace showed us around on that first visit, and we instantly fell in love with the venue. Ten months of planning later, and we’re married!
Grace was our designated on-the-day coordinator, but she was also there to support and guide us whenever we needed help in the months running up to the wedding. We can’t thank her enough for everything she did to help make our wedding so special.
The estate is absolutely beautiful, set in the most stunning grounds, and the staff are truly exceptional. Town Head really is the most magical and perfect place to get married.
I’m honestly lost for words. It was an out-of-this-world wedding weekend, and we’re still on cloud nine! We couldn’t have wished for anything more, and we’ll be forever grateful to everyone at Town Head for helping us create such incredible memories.

We got married at Town Head in September and we can’t praise them highly enough. The most beautiful setting, sumptuous accommodation for us and our guests and the catering from Karen Rhodes was top notch.
A special mention for Grace and her team who were simply fantastic in the run up to and on our big day. We couldn’t have wished for more. Friendly, flexible, supportive - nothing was too much trouble and our day ran without a glitch. Kudos! You guys deserve all the awards you have won and will continue to win.

We honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we booked Town Head, everything was so easy and the team were absolutely incredible.
Even though the weather wasn’t quite on our side, it was still such a lovely and special day, and Town Head provided the most beautiful setting for our intimate wedding. Our guests couldn’t stop commenting on how gorgeous the venue was.
A special mention has to go to Bethany, who went above and beyond for us on the day. She made sure every little detail was taken care of, kept everything running perfectly, calmed my nerves and, most importantly, made sure I actually ate! 😂 She genuinely made us feel so looked after throughout the entire day.
The catering team were also incredible. The food was absolutely lovely, and the service was fantastic. You could really see how well everyone works together as a team, everything felt so seamless and organised, whilst still feeling warm and personal. It was clear that everyone genuinely cared about making our day as special as possible.
Every member of the Town Head team was so kind, helpful and attentive, and you can really tell how much they love what they do. We’re so grateful for everything they did to make our wedding day so special.
Thank you so much to the whole Town Head team, especially Bethany. We’ll always have such happy memories of our wedding day here and couldn’t recommend Town Head enough. 🤍🥹 -

Most stunning dream venue for our wedding!!
We got married at Town Head Estate this August, and calling it a "dream venue" is an understatement as it was pure magic! We actually took a leap of faith and booked it without seeing it and it somehow exceeded every expectation. The estate, cottages, and grounds are so stunning!!
Having a pre-wedding BBQ by the lake set the most amazing tone for the weekend, and getting ready in the beauty room (the best getting ready room!) was such a luxury. Every single spot is picture-perfect, from tying the knot on the lake terrace to photos in the rose garden and celebrating in the barn.
A massive thank you to our coordinator, Beth as she was an absolute star! From answering a million questions beforehand to being a calm, reassuring friend on the day, she made everything feel completely effortless. The whole staff were brilliant, and our guests have said how incredible the venue was. It will always remain a special place to us. If you’re planning a Lake District wedding, do not hesitate as it really is the most stunning and perfect venue!! -

Town head magic!
The pure magic I felt at town head estate this weekend is nothing that I could actually put into words.
From the amazing scenery, stunning accommodation to the outstanding staff. There was absolutely nothing they didn’t sort for us, from scuba diving into lake windermere to find a phone a friend had dropped off the boat (that still worked) to basically controlling the weather somehow 😂
This is honestly by far my most favourite place on earth.
Getting to spend time with our family & friends for the weekend was something out of a fairy tale. All our guests have commented on what an amazing place it is and that it was one of the best weddings they had been to.
I will be forever grateful to David, Cheryl, Bethany and all at town head estate for making our wedding the best it could have possibly been. It was all I had dreamed of and much more -

The most beautiful wedding venue
Where to begin?! Simply the best place I ever could have chosen to get married at. There really will never be enough words for me to share simply how amazing this place is. From the minute we arrived, we knew it was the place for us. It is SO beautiful, peaceful and picturesque. The team are simply incredible. Nothing is ever a too much, they remained so calm and helpful throughout the entire process and they really let you tailor the venue around what you want to do for your wedding. Beth my wedding co-ordinator was the actual best, I couldn't have asked for anyone better to be with us on the big day and the day went absolutely seamlessly. We called the team our wedding fairy godmothers because whatever you wished for or needed, they made happen. The grounds and accommodation are spectacular, so many of our guests were blown away by how beautiful it was. We had the best weekend swimming and paddleboarding with a BBQ by the lake the night before, and then the most amazing outdoor ceremony by the lake the next day. The recommended suppliers they suggested were all amazing, they have such a great reputation with suppliers in the Lakes and people love working with them. The suppliers I used who hadn't worked with them all commented on what a great team they are, I could trust them to just handle everything. If you are looking for the most peaceful, calm and spectacular venue with the best team I would not hesitate to book Town Head. Just the best experience I ever ever could have asked for and I'm so thankful. -

Incredible!
I got married here on the 9th May 2026, myself and my husband couldn't have wished for a better experience and we will forever recommend Town Head to anyone looking for a beautiful wedding venue with friendly and professional staff.
Bethany and the team worked so hard to make sure our day was absolute perfection from start to finish and we are so grateful. Nothing was ever too much trouble, they were always so accommodating and helpful.
The wedding barn, guest accommodation and grounds are absolutely breathtaking and I couldn't of imagined a more perfect place to have spent my wedding weekend. 5* is not enough to give this venue, if I could give more I would! I wish I could spend every weekend here.

Winter Wedding
Cannot put into words how much of a beautiful day we had. Everything ran so smoothly and was completely stress free, allowing us to take in every moment. The staff were so kind and helpful through the whole process and created the day we have always dreamt of.
