The Woods at Oakley is the most magical wedding venue! We had goosebumps as soon as we first visited the Hazel Bower, and had our wonderful wedding there in September 2025. The Nissen Hut is a perfect addition and such a luxurious place for the bridal party to get ready on the wedding morning. The team are absolutely incredible, and there whenever you need them. Rachel was our wedding co-ordinator and I cannot recommend her highly enough! She really went above and beyond to make our day run as smoothly as possible. Beautiful woods
We recently got married at The Woods at Oakley. We actually chose this venue because we realised that myself being immunosuppressed by my treatment meant we needed to switch to an outdoor venue, my husband spotted the woods in his search and we fell in love with it and booked it without even visiting (although we did have visits before our wedding day), it felt more us and it ended up being far more beautiful than anywhere we would of been getting married before. The staff we dealt with at the woods were all very friendly and helpful; Rachel was great at getting back to us with any information needed and Lindsay is clearly very passionate and enthusiastic about her work. It is a stunning and calming location where even your most basic photos can't help but look amazing. We used the lovely wildflower seed confetti and of course planted our own tree! We only had a small wedding - the 3 hour slot with our 14 guests - but it was still perfect and exactly what we wanted. We also stayed in the Nissen hut the night before and the night of our wedding and had the vegan breakfast hamper. There were lots of nice little details, we absolutely loved the picture on our card. We love the work the woods is doing and their aims and of course our vegan caterer was perfectly suited to such a place. I love the lights that follow the path through the woods, they added so much magic to the day. I also love the 'something to borrow' brochure the woods has - we have actually added to it with our ivy garlands. Our amazing photographer Alice was found thanks to the woods 'friends of the woods' brochure. Despite the mud (which can't be helped after rain in mid September) we received great feedback from our guests about the venue & how beautiful it was. We would absolutely recommend this venue & we were sad to say goodbye to Mango the miniature horse. Thank-you all! :D🫶🏻

The Woods at Oakley was our dream wedding venue, we couldn't think of anywhere else that would love up to the natural beauty of this place. Rachel, Charlie and Lindsay were all so helpful, accommodating and absolutely lovely to deal with and made the whole process so simple for us.

Magical Bespoke Woodland Wedding
We had our wedding at The Woods at Oakley in June, and honestly, there is nothing we would change! Although the weather forecast looked uncertain in the lead-up, Lindsay and Charlie stayed in close contact all week, helping us make the right decisions for the changing conditions. Their support made us feel relaxed and able to enjoy the build-up without stress.
We were lucky with our suppliers, but ultimately, it’s great communication and a friendly, accommodating venue that make a big day run smoothly — and The Woods at Oakley absolutely delivered. The setting is truly magical, and the flexibility means you can create a completely bespoke wedding that feels personal and unique.
The team struck the perfect balance: always there when needed but giving us space to enjoy setting up and making the weekend our own. The on-site accommodation is lovely, and having the whole weekend there made it feel extra special. Some of our friends and family stayed in the yurts and absolutely loved them — it was wonderful to have them close by in the mornings.
It was pure joy from start to finish, and we couldn’t recommend The Woods at Oakley more highly for anyone wanting a beautiful, relaxed, and unforgettable wedding. Photos by the incredible Daisy Powles!

We had the most fantastic wedding day in The Woods at Oakley! Lindsay and Charlie were perfect hosts and made their woodland feel like home from our very first visit and Rachel was fantastic in helping us organise all the details. The Hazel Bower, amongst the trees, is such a romantic place to get married. We stayed for two nights in the Nissen Hut and took in the moment. My partner and I chose their 'Secret Wooding' package which was ideal for our small, intimate wedding, followed by a woodland picnic. We would highly recommend The Woods at Oakley to anyone who will listen(!) and can't wait to go back and visit.The Woods at Oakley's reply:

Magical outdoor venue!
We recently held our wedding at this venue and could not be happier with how it all unfolded! Set in 12 acres of woodland, the Woods at Oakley was incredibly beautiful, peaceful and an absolutely idyllic setting we’d recommend to anyone looking to get off the beaten track. The owners were incredibly friendly and attentive, having an incredible knowledge of the area. They went out of their way to make the day special for us coming up with lots of ideas that really helped shape it into an even more personal experience.
The outdoor kitchen, toilets and showers were very well kept and within easy walking distance of the Hazel Bower and Bluebell Glade where most of the ceremony took place. The bell tents were very comfortable and commanded a stunning view of the local countryside.
The woods at Oakley have many suppliers they can recommend for weddings. For example- we hired lighting and a stage from “All the Kit” who were professional and friendly. They also have the option to hire Rachel; their event coordinator who was attentive and accommodating to all our needs.
Our guests absolutely loved the venue and everyone told us what an amazing day they had! We wouldn’t change a thing and will certainly be visiting again to renew our vows and to see our tree that they let us plant there with our own personalised name tag! :)The Woods at Oakley's reply:

I will do my best to capture in words how perfect this venue is, but I’m not sure it’s possible. Every moment from the first meeting at the woodland was perfect. The venue owners are the kindest and most genuine family you could ever meet, our wedding planner Rachel went above and beyond and managed behind the scenes so perfectly that all stress and worry on the day was lifted, the animals you can wander off to visit are so friendly and sweet, the special events they hold in the woodland to help you feel more connected to trees are magical, the fact you can plant a tree in your day and go back to visit any time is an honour I never thought I’d get on my wedding day, the breakfast hamper delivered to our door the next day was delicious and meant we could feed each other strawberries in the huge bath tub (so cheesy but so fun!!), and then there’s the woodland itself. I truly have no words. I always dreamed of a woodland wedding, but I never thought I would find a venue this truly breathtaking. The bluebells, the dappled sunlight, the hanging vines, the handmade pews, arbour and tables… I will be living in the day for the rest of my life. I will never be able to thank them enough, I cannot recommend this venue more and I can sing no higher praises. Thank you 💚The Woods at Oakley's reply:

Just simply perfect.
It’s truly so difficult to put into words just how incredible and magical the Woods are…..but here goes.
Jon and I first viewed The Woods at Oakley May 2023, just in their first year of operation and it was the first venue we viewed. We did not need to look any further.
It was a yes from the first moment, meeting Lindsay & Charlie, Kevin & Marcel, Dee & Samson and of course not forgetting Victoria.
Then walking into the woods, it was just everything. Perfect.
Our day was everything we could’ve hoped for and more, the woods were in full bloom and picture perfect.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Lindsay and Charlie for opening your home up to allow for our picture perfect wedding to happen.

The Woods at Oakley was the most perfect venue for us. From the moment we came a visited, meeting Lindsay, Charlie and the donkey we knew it was just right for our wedding.
The team at the woods have been with us every step of the way, checking in with us and offering borrowed items we could use on the day. We love the ethos of the woods, what they are doing and why. Planting our tree on our wedding day was so important to us and they really found us a great one!
Our guests many of whom were children and people who are neurodivergent LOVED the venue, they felt so at home and comfortable. People could get up move around and play and that exactly what we wanted for our big day.The Woods at Oakley's reply:
