We had our wedding at Stone Trough Inn last week and we could not recommend it highly enough! Philippa was excellent in the planning stage, no request too big or small. You can really make your wedding your own. The decorations were perfect and totally in fitting with our colours and flowers. We went for the upgraded buffet which exceeded our expectations- several guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had! The evening food (we chose pies, pasties and pickles) also went down an absolute treat! Philippa was brilliant on the day itself and made the whole day run smoothly! All of the staff at Stone Trough were so nice, friendly and professional. The pub itself is great with a lovely outside space, great view and is close enough to Kirkham Abbey to take photos there! We had the perfect day, would absolutely recommend Stone Trough for a wedding!! 💖 -

The most amazing day! Thank you!
We recently got married at the end of July here and had the most magical day! We could not recommend booking here enough and if we were to do it all again (which we would love to) we would be straight back!
Ever since our first meeting with Philippa, the organisation and professionalism of the team was great! There was minimal stress leading up to our big day, the day itself ran so smoothly (due to Philippa's and the teams great efforts) meaning we had a relaxed, enjoyable time.
The deal met our budget perfectly but in hindsight, if it was to cost more, we would pay it everytime! The food and drink which was included was amazing- the food was so tasty and portions were very suitable, it felt like we managed to treat all our guests to a lovely day out!
All the staff involved in the day were helpful and welcoming. Everyone was there to help and paid special attention to my bride and I when necessary. The whole day was magical.
The venue boasts gorgeous views and being able to go down to the priory gives this venue an added bonus!
We cannot thank Philippa and the team at The Stone Trough enough for how special they made our big day. If you are lucky enough to find this venue, book it now, you will not regret it!!!
We cannot wait to come back the The Stone Trough for a meal to remember our lovely day x -

We can never thank Philippa and the team at Stone Trough Inn enough for our perfect day on the 5th May, 2026.
From our first visit, to our final goodbye, the Stone Trough was nothing short of amazing! The venue? A beautiful, hidden gem! The food? Utterly divine! The staff? So patient and understanding to our every need!
Our guests could not stop talking about how gorgeous the venue was, how friendly the staff were, and how excited they were to return in their own time.
As a couple with a limited budget, I truly thought our 'perfect day' just wasn't possible. The Stone Trough Inn did more than prove me wrong - it blew every expectation out of the water!
If you're still searching for the perfect relaxed, picturesque and whimsical wedding venue - look no further, you've found it! -

Edward and Charis perfect Day
Me and my partner recently had our wedding hear and it was the most perfect day. The staff were amazing and supportive there for us all day. Food was amazing. The comunactaion was great before the wedding making a lot easier to plan releaving alot of stress. -

Couldn't recommend more
Me and my partner got married at the Stone Trough Inn on Nov 8th and I cant recommend the venue enough. From day 1 to the big day, Phillipa and her staff couldnt do enough for us.
We had multiple meeting at the Stone Trough to discuss any issues we had and all our queries were always met with positivity and solutions.
The location of the venue was perfect for the intimate wedding we wanted. It is a beautiful countryside venue to match the views surrounding it. The big days itself couldnt have gone any smoother and thats all down to the great work of Phillipa and her team. They completely decorated the entire venue in the morning with the decorations we provided allowing myself and my partner to enjoy our mornings apart and prepare for the day ahead. (The execution of the decorations was perfection).
The Wedding breakfast and food for the evening was incredible. Even though our wedding was a few months ago now we still get family and friends labelling it as 'the best wedding food they have had'. The staff on the day were more than accommodating, they genuinely felt like part of the celebrations and by the end of the night ended up knowing most of the guests by there first name which set a really nice vibe. Phillipa and her team constantly checked in on me and my now wife to make sure we were having the best day possible and didn't need anything.
The Stone Trough has become more than a wedding venue for us. Due to amazing experience we had, we now see the Stone Trough Inn as more of a tradition. A place we look forward to visiting many more more times in the future.
The Venue, staff and food were 10/10. Can't recommend enough. -

The day was flawless from start to finish! Every
Moment from getting out of the car to the last dance was perfect. ALL the staff were excellent, so professional and attentive! Philippa was amazing throughout the planning process - helped with all ideas and was very accommodating to changes and on the day she again was amazing and made sure everything was on point.
The decor was done to such a high standard, the change overs were seamless. The FOOD was outstanding huge compliments to the chef, allowed us to have what we wanted and it was perfection. I would highly recommend the Stone Trough Inn, you will not regret it. -

We had our winter wedding here on the 13th December 2025 and just WOW. Our vibe was cozy, personal and festive, Phillipa and her team absolutely nailed it. From the first wedding meetings all the way through till weeks after the wedding still checking up on us, the service has been second to none. Phillipa was very professional yet felt like I had a bridal bestie who knew exactly what I wanted without me having to go crazy, she’s a credit to her job and made our day feel so easy, special and put together. It was perfect. THE FOOD was genuinely unreal, we had the ‘posh buffet’ and literally everyone was saying how nice it was, it looked and tasted 100/10 I was actually taken a back by how good it was! The canapés and drinks were amazing, everything was just brilliant and I couldn’t recommend The Stone Trough, Phillipa and her team more! There’s also Kirkham Abbey just down the road for great photo opportunities 🥹 If you’re looking for a cozy, personal, pub wedding then this is the place for you 🙏🏼💫💍🤍 -
