The perfect venue for the perfect day

Everything about the Retreat at Elcot Park is perfect.

Firstly, Sam who is the sales and events manager is superb. She is efficient, flexible and the most wonderful person to work with.

Every member of staff you meet at the Retreat is so welcoming and lovely. You feel at home there whether you are staying for a night, coming for lunch and even more so when you are getting married!

The food is exceptional. From the tasting menu when we were choosing our wedding food to on the day, it was flawless.

Finally, the rooms - wow! We had the Percy Shelley Suite as our room for the night before, getting ready and on the wedding night and its not only extremely big, but everything in it is perfect. We have also stayed in other types of room and never been disappointed!

The venue was extremely flexible in many aspects and we believe the wedding package was great value for money.

The Elcot completly made our day!!

We have visited the venue a number of times, so there was without a doubt that this had to be our wedding venue.

From initial planning meetings, to the final countdown meetings we would go over the function sheet everytime, any changes were never an issue.

The operations team on the day were seamless and the team took care of everything!!

The best wedding experience ever!

This venue is absolutely stunning with beautifully kept grounds and an incredibly designed interior.
Every single member of the team at The Retreat were amazing whilst planning and on our wedding day itself, so attentive and made the day as special as it was.
They made the planning seamless and enjoyable, catering to every single one of our needs. This took the stress of planning a wedding away which we were so grateful for.
And the venue speaks for itself - the orangery is stunning, along with many other room options which helped with our guests having different areas to mingle in and enjoy.
The spa facilities were also highly rated by our guests who enjoyed them on the day of check in and day of check out.
We simply cannot recommend this venue enough for all of the reasons about and more! We can’t wait to visit again soon to enjoy all the facilities now as a married couple!

Wonderful venue

Samantha and the team were nothing but helpful and professional, it was a perfect day. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy, comfortable and catered for. My husband and I were able to enjoy a seamless day, never worrying as it had been so well organised by all the staff at The Retreat. Also food was outstanding, including canapés and cake!! Luckily the weather was perfect and being able to have cocktails and canapés close to the lawn which was a real treat that I will remember for a lifetime. The front of house staff and bar manager were really on the ball. It genuinely was the best day of our lives.

Samantha and the team were nothing but helpful and professional, it was a perfect day. They went above and beyond to make sure everyone was happy, comfortable and catered for. Review of our wedding at The Retreat 01.03.2025

We loved our wedding at The Retreat. The food was amazing, particularly their ability to cater for some Asian dishes, as our wedding was multi-cultural.
Samantha and all staff at The Retreat were friendly and professional, and helped make sure every little detail was covered.
The hotel building, grounds and outdoor terrace with views of the countryside was stunning and made for excellent photography. Despite it being an off season wedding (1st March 2025), the weather was beautiful.
The Cremant and house wines included in the packages were more than enough and very high quality, no shortage of wine at our wedding!

Wonderful venue!

We had a wonderful wedding put on by the retreat. the venue made us feel extremely well looked after and accommodated out needs superbly. The catering and drinks selection was excellent too. |I really recommend them to anyone looking for a venue.

Magical Day at the Retreat

What a place, what a day. We are local to the Retreat and the whole reason we booked our wedding day was purely based on the atmosphere, staff and the beautiful setting.

Thoroughly looked after from day one by Samantha, the wedding and events manager who noted every fine detail, looked after us on every meeting we had before the big day and felt like part of the wedding party on the day.

We got struck with spots of rain on the day, no problem for the Retreat… there contingency plans were well worked out, and all staff accommodated all our guests rain or shine.

We’d recommend it to anyone, and if you aren’t sure, go have some cocktails, drinks and a meal there as guests, and you’ll be sold.

Thank you to the team once again, and a big thank you to Samantha who made our day happen.

Incredible Wedding Location

We held our wedding weekend at The Retreat starting with an intimate ceremony and dinner, a party the following day, and tea and scones to finish the weekend. It is a truly spectacular wedding venue and can cater from a small event to a large party. It really is a special place and a proper retreat weekend - from the pool, spa, the stunning decor, to the incredible food and the gorgeous grounds. Our guests were blown away by such a hidden gem in the countryside.

If you are looking for a beautiful yet relaxed wedding venue where you can have everything under one roof without costing the earth, this is it!!
