Our wedding at the Reid Rooms was simply perfect. Corinne was amazing from start to finish making sure we had every bit of information we needed and assisting us with all queries we had about how things will go on the day, right to even the small details like helping us with table arrangements to work around wedding guests with accessibility requirements and non alcoholic prosecco being available even though it wasn't included as a standard part of the drinks package we bought for our day as both of my parents and I can't drink for medical reasons, making everyone feel catered for and welcomed on the day. Our wedding coordinator Steph was brilliant, she was really helpful in our rehearsal prior to the wedding itself answering any questions or queries that we had and on the day was so helpful in making our day as smooth as possible. I would highly recommend the caterers Amaze in Taste and DJ David Baker that the Reid Rooms work with regularly, both were absolutely excellent. Everyone that attended our wedding has said what a great time they all had and we just had the most beautiful and magical day and couldn't have asked for anything better. Thank you for so many memories that we'll cherish for the rest of our married life together

The Reid rooms is the perfect venue as it truly has something for everyone but not only that but the Staff were so helpful with all my questions in the planning process and also in helping everything to run smoothly on the day -

Beautiful!
We wanted a rustic feel to our wedding. The Reid Rooms delivered just that.
It was warm, cosy, welcoming and friendly.
The staff there were always on hand on the lead up to the wedding.
All questions we had were answered promptly. They are very efficient and all the staff were amazing, before, during and after!
They also have a lovely farmhouse on site which is perfect to get ready in and stay in on the night of your wedding.
I cannot fault the venue!
Great scenery, great value for money!
Let us bring a lot of our own stuff too! -

We are so happy we chose the Reid Rooms as our wedding venue - it was the first (and only!) one we saw and were happy straight away. It's already got such lovely touches meaning decorating it is truly only really optional - standalone it's a beautiful venue.
We were supported right from the start - no question was too small or big (or asked at too ridiculous an hour!) and we valued having Corinne throughout the build up and then the lovely Hannah for our rehearsal and on the day. The Reid Rooms were also great for recommending other vendors, and even though we selected some not on their preferred vendor list, they worked so well with them and were really helpful and supportive on the day.
We got so many comments on how great the venue and the team were and we couldn't have asked for more. -

We had our wedding at the Reid rooms in August and it was perfect in every way. The Reid rooms allowed us to have our day exactly how we wanted it. Lucy, our coordinator was absolutely amazing in every way. She settled my nerves, was professional and worth her weight in gold!
The day ran smoothly and we were able to have everything we wanted when we wanted and I can’t recommend the Reid rooms enough!
Also, the house keeper at the house was also absolutely amazing, she is a real credit to your team! -

From the moment we first arrived at the Reid Rooms, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and Corinne and Steph made us feel so welcome right from the start. They were incredibly helpful and always available to answer our questions. Even after we booked our date, we visited several times, and they were more than happy to accommodate our requests.
We were allowed to bring in our own suppliers without any hassle, and there was no extra charge for the wine we brought for the reception. There are so many lovely spots around the venue for photos, making it an ideal backdrop for our special day. The ceremony itself was wonderful, and Steph, our wedding coordinator, guided us through every step. She was simply fantastic!
For decorations, we worked with Amelia Events, who brought our vision to life and came highly recommended by the Reid Rooms.
We decided on a barbecue for our wedding reception followed by a casual finger buffet in the evening, which everyone enjoyed. It felt relaxed and not overly formal, which was exactly what we wanted.
Overall, we had an incredible day, and if you check out the Reid Rooms for your wedding, we’re confident you’ll fall in love with it too. A big thank you to the Reid Rooms for helping to make our day run so smoothly!. -

We had our reception at the Reid rooms about 2 weeks ago and we could not be more happy and please how the day turned out! From the very beginning the team were so responsive over email and were always so helpful and friendly. And on the big day we were so incredibly grateful for the hard work they put it. We got so many compliments on how beautiful the venue is, how flexible the space is with all different rooms fit for the different guest we had, and how lovely and helpful the staff were. We had the most incredible day and we have to give credit to the Reid rooms and the team for that!
We would recommend this to anyone who is looking for affordability, flexibility in there ideas, a beautiful big space for any type of photos and also having the wonderful support and experience of the staff there. We couldn’t be happier with our decisions

The Reid rooms were brilliant!
We had our wedding here on May 17th and our Corrine was very responsive to all my questions via email our day of Co-ordinator Hannah was amazing at our rehearsal on the day! We had a lovely wedding it was the best day of our lifes! -

The Reid Rooms in December 2024 was our special day. From start to finish we were empowered to create a day that reflected us and done our way. Our non negotiable was being able to choose our own caterer and in the end we chose Magpies, caterers know to the Reid Rooms. All super fantastic and affordable! You need to book the Reid Rooms ASAP for a unique, special and unforgettable wedding day. Thank you Reid Rooms from the Walcotts xx -

I first red about The Reid Rooms on this website and decided to check it out after coming across many great reviews. We signed up for a wedding fare and visited this venue in person. The Reid Rooms is a beautiful rustic style place surrounded by beautiful greenery. It has everything that you can possibly need on your wedding day... ceremony room, dining area, dance floor, bar, courtyard and a farmhouse. Corrine, who showed us around was very helpful, answered all our questions and penciled our date in her diary. We did not need to look any further as we knew that we found the right place. Today, two weeks after our wedding I stand by my words. This venue is super flexible and Corrine was more than helpful throughout the whole planning process, taking for considerations all our suggestions and ideas. We were allowed to decorate the venue the day before and they were flexible with arrival time to the farmhouse as I had guests from overseas. A week before we met our wedding coordinator Hannah who made sure that on the day everything ran smoothly and according to plan! Our wedding day was perfect! Our guests loved the venue just as much as we did!
So if you consider booking venue in Essex this is the right place to go! I can assure you that you will be taken care of and the team will make sure that you have literally the best day of your life!
