From the moment we first visited, we knew this was the venue where we wanted to get married. The booking process was so simple, and every question we had was answered promptly—no query ever felt too small or silly.
Although it's a dry hire venue, they provide an excellent list of recommended suppliers, which gave us the perfect starting point when planning our day. We visited several times between booking and the wedding itself, and every visit was met with such a warm welcome. The whole team were always friendly, helpful, and happy to show us around.
A special mention has to go to Chrystelle, who is an absolute superstar. She worked seamlessly alongside our caterers and other suppliers, taking so much of the stress away in the lead-up to the wedding. Knowing everything was in such capable hands made all the difference.
All three barns are absolutely stunning, and we loved being able to make use of each of them throughout our day. The on-site accommodation is also beautiful and finished to an incredibly high standard. We already can't wait to book another stay so we can come back and relive the memories. ❤️
On the day itself, Tim was amazing. He made sure everything ran smoothly, ensuring no detail was overlooked. The care, organisation, and attention to detail from the entire team were exceptional.

From the very beginning, the team at the Oak Barn, Frame Farm were absolutely incredible. In the lead up to our wedding they were always so helpful with every question we had, no matter how big or small, and provided so many great ideas and suggestions that really helped bring everything together.
The venue itself is absolutely stunning — from the beautiful barn where we celebrated to the lovely cottages, which all of our guests loved staying in. Every part of the venue felt so special and created the perfect atmosphere for the whole weekend.
On the day itself, everything ran so smoothly and we were able to relax and enjoy every moment knowing we were in such good hands. Even when the weather turned and it started raining, they were completely prepared with umbrellas and kept everything running seamlessly.
What really stood out throughout the whole experience was how genuinely friendly, approachable and supportive everyone was. We felt so looked after from start to finish and couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team for our wedding day. We’d recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat!The Oak Barn, Frame Farm's reply:

From the moment we saw the Oak Barn online, we fell in love with the venue! This love only got greater the minute we set foot on site with Tim welcoming us with open arms! We really felt like we’d been transported to another world! We booked the venue two years in advance for the weekend and throughout the lead up Deana, Chrystelle and the team were so helpful, always being around to answer our questions with none being too silly! Our wedding weekend couldn’t have gone any better with both Deana, Amanda and Tembo being fantastic throughout helping with any issues that may have arisen. We are so glad we booked the venue for the weekend as we were able to extend the celebrations with family and friends on the Friday and Sunday! All the guests on the day absolutely loved the venue and kept on going on about how beautiful it was with the perfect space for all the kids to run around! Who could forget the baby lambs and sheep who made the venue that much more magical! We would recommend the Oak Barn in a heartbeat to any couples looking for the perfect barn wedding! Thank you!! The Perfect Wedding Venue!!!
The Oak Barn, Frame Farm is everything we could have wished for from a wedding venue, and so much more.
The venue has been renovated with so much love and attention to detail, and is clearly very well taken care of.
We genuinely didn't feel the need to fill the spaces with an abundance of flowers and other decorations, as the various locations really spoke for themselves - the classic interior of the Byre, the idyllic fields and pond that acted as the backdrop for the Byre Terrace, the large rustic Pole Barn, and the beautiful beams in the Oak Barn. The dry hire allows you to personalise your day to really reflect who you are as a couple, and their list of trusted suppliers was a brilliant asset.
As we were not local to the area, and we wanted to see the final set up before the day (to ease any nerves) we opted for beginning our booking on the Friday, then having our ceremony on the Saturday, and leaving on Sunday morning. This made setting up the venue run so smoothly, and being on-site meant we weren't worried about any potential traffic hold ups on the day! We also had friends travelling from all over the country, so the ability to have friends stay with us over the weekend in the cottages was another detail that made the experience perfect for us. The cottages themselves are well-decorated, and had everything we needed.
We knew the only thing we couldn't plan for with our wedding day was the weather, so we wanted to make sure there were plenty of options for our guests to stay dry during the day. Having the three covered venues - the Byre, the Pole Barn, and the Oak Barn, meant we didn't need to worry about potential bad weather, and also meant we had more choices of where to spend parts of our day.
The Byre Terrace made the perfect setting for our ceremony (which was blessed with glorious sunshine) but if it had rained, we would have been happy to use the Byre, and we were able to work with the team to ensure we had a plan in place for both scenarios - something that really put our minds at ease.
The Pole Barn was an excellent location for fairground games, cocktail hour, and ice cream in the evening.
We used The Oak Barn for our wedding breakfast and evening entertainment, and it was fantastic for both. We particularly liked how whilst it was all one big space, the open walls made the bar area and the back of the barn feel like different areas - we set up sofas in the area at the back of the barn, and they were very popular with those who needed a break from dancing during the evening.
We genuinely can't say enough about the team at The Oak Barn either - everyone made us feel so welcome, so special, and really seemed to care about our wedding. During the planning process, they helped us navigate the (sometimes confusing) world of weddings, and were available to answer any questions. Over our wedding weekend, they were so kind and attentive, and genuinely seemed excited for us.

We knew from the first visit that we wanted to get married at the Oak Barn. We cannot thank Deana, Tim and team enough for making our wedding come to life and be all and more than we imagined. It was quite simply perfect.
They made the day so smooth with not a thing to worry about which really helped with any nerves. Also with the venue being so versatile there were a variety of wet weather options that did not compromise our vision (it being April). It was perfect for us to have to have the run of the whole place as we both have big families and wanted a relaxed feel.
Our guests were all blown away by the setting and all commented on how spectacular it is, the lambs were a big hit too!
We had the Oak Barn for the weekend which made the whole wedding that little less stressful so we cant recommend them enough. Thank you!The Oak Barn, Frame Farm's reply:

Amazing venue!
We are so glad we choose the Oak Barn for our big day. From our very first visit, we knew it was the venue for us. We wanted somewhere beautiful and intimate where nature was at the forefront, and The Oak Barn had this in spades!
We can’t thank the whole team enough. From our many visits, discussions about space and style to recommending some truly amazing suppliers.
Communication was great throughout and you helped us to bring our vision to life. Seeing our perfect Autumnal day come together was so magical and we will treasure the memories made at this stunning venue forever.
We felt so relaxed knowing the running of the day was safe in your hands. There was so much laughter and happiness all day long.

The most magical day, the most magical venue.
There are not enough words to describe how special and magical The Oak Barn Frame Farm is.
Chrystelle, Deana and Tim are amazing and became our new best friends over the year before our big day. They are fully invested in making your day perfect. Nothing was too much for them.
We were lucky enough to have the venue for 3 days (which we highly recommend!) The setting, the weather the different options for spaces was incredible. We loved every single moment and now its over we miss them all! We will be returning for a stay to enjoy those beautiful grounds again.

The Oak Barn is an absolutely stunning venue and such a fundamental part of us having an even better wedding weekend than we expected. From the first minute it was immediately clear this was the place for us and we would heartily recommend to others.
Not only is it a beautiful, tranquil setting with lots of great spots for photos (including many sheep!), it offers so much flexibility. There are many different spaces you can make your own, allowing guests to move about the venue trhoughout the day, and it's possible to quickly adapt depending on the weather.
Critically for us, unlike many venues we visited, which felt like conveyor belts, the Oak Barn enabled such a personal wedding. From decorating it our way, to bringing in our own wine without corkage, to having goats on site for the day, there was so much scope to make this our own very special time.
That said, it's worth noting the flexibility means more work for you- you'll need to liase with lots of suppliers for things like tables and chairs, food and drink, and the DJ, which might be part of the package at other venues. But the work was so worth it, and made much smoother by the brilliant venue team. Chrystelle and colleagues were so helpful throughout the year of planning, super quick to respond to emails, willing to accomodate our ideas wherever they could, and always very friendly.
Finally, having the venue for the whole weekend (Fri noon - Sunday noon) was such an added bonus, allowing us to enjoy even more quality time with our wedding party.

It was such an honour to host your multi-cultural (and multi-day!) wedding at the farm a couple of weeks ago. The blend of Scottish vibes with French elegance was truly something special. We loved how you embraced the flexibility of the farm and our three barns to bring your exact vision to life.
And yes, for the very first time we had goats arriving as special guests! Such a fun surprise and a moment none of us will forget (especially Tatty!). Your Ceilidh band was a huge success, and we’re so delighted that you managed to have everything you wanted here at the farm, right down to the wine from Tatty’s nan’s own vineyard, which was the most incredible personal touch.
