Wedding - 22nd August 2025!
Wow Wow Wow!!!! The Moat was everything we wanted and more!!! I don’t even know where to start we had the most perfect day! Myself and my bridesmaids stayed the night before in the most stunning rooms and were met in the morning with some much needed breakfast! Aimie was in and out checking we had everything we needed whilst ensuring the venue was set up exactly how we wanted - the food was amazing and everyone of our guests complemented it, we were so surprised on the day to also find we had exclusive hire of the garden included which was perfect in the stunning weather!!! The staff from start to finish were amazing! The day ran so smoothly! Aimie was just amazing with the run up to the wedding and on the day we cannot thank her enough!!!! If we could give more than 5 stars we definitely would! Thank you all so much again!!!! -

We are extremely happy we chose The Moat Barn and Taproom as the venue for our wedding. We went with the rustic theme and were not disappointed. The wedding ceremony arrangements felt intimate and magical!
The service provided by the wedding team from initial planning through to our wedding day was superb.
On the day, the wedding coordinator had such amazing drive and enthusiasm, supported by a great team, that made our day flow seamlessly through to the end.
It was a very hot day so our guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the garden. The quality of food at the wedding breakfast and service was excellent.
The Taproom for the evening reception is a good size as we had a band play as well as the resident DJ.
After our special day, it was wonderful to stay in the Bridal suite at the venue.
Thanks to the Moat, we had a brilliant wedding!

What an amazing day! We had a twilight wedding at The Moat & it was amazing from start to end. Our events planner Aimie, was absolutely amazing, I did not have to worry about a thing when Aimie was around & I trusted her with everything wedding related. She was friendly, professional & just a super star, she really helped make our day 10/10!! Leaving a pizza in our room topped it off haha!
The venue itself is so beautiful, we got so many compliments! We also booked all 6 rooms at the venue & they were so clean, tidy & modern. The DJ was also 10/10. Food was also unreal, as well as the breakfast in the morning.
Booking was so simple & communication was great the whole time, I cannot recommend getting married anywhere better than at The Moat.
Big shout out the Aimie again! You really did make a difference to our day.
Thank you to the whole team & helping make our wedding the best day of our lives. Xx -

Wedding 26/04/25. We cannot thank the Moat enough for giving us such an AMAZING day! It was just superb, everything was brilliant & all of our guests commented on how beautiful it is as a venue. Having been let down by a previous venue, when we had our initial meeting with Amanda, we knew we had found the right one! We loved how you have the contrast of the more modern taproom which then opens up in to the beautiful barn, taking all guests by surprise! We were lucky enough to have good weather which meant we could enjoy the garden as well and the outdoor bar. It has such a lovely warm feel about it, the venue itself but all of the staff as well. Everything felt relaxed which helped us both feel at ease with all the planning and then on the day. We have to give a big thank you to Aimie who was assigned as our events planner, she was just brilliant - everything ran like clockwork and we didn't have to worry about a thing.
The food was so good! We opted for a family style meal as we wanted to create a more relaxed atmosphere, it was perfect. The wine, the fizz, the welcome drinks & canapes - just wow!
Our families all stayed for 2 nights, the accommodation is excellent and the bridal suite is massive - you can open up through to the adjoining room making this the perfect place for any bride (or groom) to get ready. The continental breakfast is also really good!
The cherry on the cake is that we could also bring our dog, Bruce, which meant a lot. If you are planning on getting married, we cannot recommend the Moat enough!

The Moat Made Our Wedding Truly Extraordinary
From the moment we booked our wedding at The Moat, we felt completely taken care of. The entire team went above and beyond to make our day absolutely magical, and we couldn’t have asked for better service and attention to detail.
The venue itself is breathtaking, offering the perfect backdrop for our celebration. From the start to the finish, the staff were exceptional, ensuring everything ran smoothly and allowing us to enjoy every moment without a worry. Aimie, our wedding coordinator, was absolutely instrumental in making the day stress-free. Her professionalism, support, and attention to every little detail made all the difference. Even when we showed up with a mountain of boxes, Aimie and the team handled it all without hesitation, nothing was too much trouble for them.
The food was beyond impressive, our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was! The chefs nailed the presentation, quality, and quantity, everyone was full heading into the evening festivities, where the bar staff kept everyone’s glasses full and spirits high all night. The venue’s décor was stunning, striking a perfect balance between our specifications and The Moat’s rustic charm. And the staff executed it all with remarkable efficiency and care.
We were also thrilled with how seamlessly additional venders like the photo booth and casino tables were incorporated into the day. The team handled everything with ease, making sure that the extra elements didn’t disrupt the flow of events but enhanced them.
On top of all of this, the on-site accommodation was perfect, comfortable, convenient, and easily accessible. The team even went above and beyond by packing everything up for us after the wedding, so we could easily collect our things the next day. It’s the thoughtful touches like this that truly set The Moat apart.
The care, kindness, and dedication we experienced from the team made us feel like we were their top priority. A month later, our guests are still raving about how incredible the day was, and it’s clear that none of it would have been possible without Aimie and the amazing team at The Moat.
If you’re considering this venue for your wedding, look no further. The level of care and professionalism they provide is unparalleled. They’ll take your vision and make it a reality, and probably even better than you imagined. We’ll forever be grateful to them for making our wedding day everything we dreamed of and more. -

The Moat was the first wedding venue we went to look at and we knew immediately it was the one for us!
The barn is beautiful, rustic and the fairly lights and hops make it feel cosy and welcoming.
The team were incredible at organising everything including food, music, order of the day etc. The food was SO YUMMY and they went out of their way to cater for me being coeliac, and nut/lactose allergies for our guests. They even left a gluten free pizza and some of our wedding cake by our bed for after the party when we went back to our room!
We stayed in the on site hotel rooms the night before and the night of the wedding which are also beautiful- newly decorated and modern, ideal for the wedding party getting ready together with lovely big mirrors and even a mannequin for the dress.
We were SO chilled out the whole weekend- we had dinner and drinks in the pub the day/night before and then continental breakfast in our rooms whilst we got ready.
I honestly could not fault anything at all.
Aimie was an absolute legend throughout and put all our worries aside and ran with all the ideas we wanted. Zoe then took over on the day and despite being very pregnant ensured everything went perfectly!
We had the most amazing day and I know 2 of the friends that came have already recommended the venue for family friends looking for a wedding venue.
So many of our guests have been commenting on how beautiful the barn is.
Thank you guys so much, we've made memories to last a lifetime and wish we could do it all over again! -

We got married at The Moat on the 22nd March 2025, and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. From start to finish, everything ran seamlessly - thanks to all of the incredible staff who went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. Aimee and Amanda, the wedding coordinators, were especially helpful throughout the entire process. Their support, organisation, and calming presence made all the difference and helped everything come together so beautifully. The venue itself looked absolutely stunning; every detail was perfect and the atmosphere was exactly what we had hoped for. We’re so grateful for such a perfect day! -

Perfect day , with dedicated staff
We had the most perfect day in December for our wedding! Very well organised , nothing too obscure or too much trouble for the team here. Amy was the lady running our day and despite never meeting her before it all ran smoothly and our requests were met regardless. The food was delicious and plentiful and everyone commented on how wonderful the whole day was. The venue itself is so beautiful and decorated so well that we really only added very few decorations ourselves as it was already so beautiful. - saving us a lot of work which was also a big reason for picking this venue! We stayed at the venue and the rooms were spotless, comfortable and convenient. Even the next day all our belongings were carefully packed and ready for us upon departure. -

Beautiful wedding venue in Kent
From the moment we walked into the Moat at the beginning of 2023 we knew it was the place we wanted to become Mr & Mrs. We were bowled over by the venue’s sheer beauty. It provided us with everything that we were looking for, rustic, charm and authenticity.
The staff quickly became friends, nothing was ever too much trouble. The wedding team catered to our every whim and never once got fed up of our endless questions or requests.
They helped to bring our vision to life which made the day even more magical.
We got married at Christmas and the venue was decorated perfectly, there was no need for us to add any further decoration which meant we kept the wedding looking simple and classic.
