Indian-German wedding at St Katherine's Dock

We had an excellent experience at Dickens Inn. We booked through Design My Night.

Daria and Bogdan from the events team, provided exceptional coordination and support throughout. Their professionalism and attention to detail ensured our day ran smoothly. The staff went beyond expectations, handling everything efficiently and with genuine care. The venue itself is great, offering a perfect setting for our celebration.

Highly recommend Dickens Inn for any event planning. They delivered a top-notch experience that exceeded our expectations.

Incredible venue with the best staff

We would really recommend booking your wedding at the Dickens Inn. The venue is perfect and is so beautiful before you even add any decor! We hosted our whole day here and everything was perfect. Ilya, Agata and the team bought our vision to life even better than we imagined and everything looked beautiful. The food was delicious and lots of guests complimented the canapes and meal. Everything ran so smoothly and we had a perfect day. Also the location is great as guests can mingle outside, we had sparklers and photos in front of the iconic tower bridge - all whilst being in a quiet barn-like venue! The Dickens Inn is the perfect mix of everything!

A magical wedding venue

Our wedding (both ceremony and reception) was held at the Dickens Inn and I could not have been happier. The day was so smooth, and the set up of each space could not have been more idyllic. The fairy lights that are up at all times just made the venue even more magical. We had the best time at such an iconic venue! Thank you to everyone who made the day so wonderful

The Most Perfect London Pub Wedding

Our wedding at The Dickens Inn in September 2025 was truly the best day of our lives. We’d always wanted a pub wedding, and as this has long been one of our favourite London pubs, it felt really special to celebrate our day here. The team went above and beyond from start to finish. Agata was exceptionally organised and helpful throughout the planning, and on the day Iva and Rob ran everything so smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment. We had 130 guests for the meal and 40 additional evening guests, but the space never felt cramped in The Dicken's Suite upstairs - the layout worked perfectly.

The food and wine were fantastic (so many compliments from our guests), and The Dickens Suite looked absolutely beautiful throughout the ceremony, meal, and evening (esp. with the hanging fairy lights). Walking to Tower Bridge for our couple photos was also a real highlight.

We couldn’t recommend The Dickens Inn highly enough for a gorgeous London wedding!

Absolutely phenomenal!

We had the most unbelievably beautiful winter wedding at the inn in December. The team were so accommodating, helpful and friendly and they made the place look absolutely stunning. Food was great, timing was brilliant, the staff were flexible and helpful.... just couldn't recommend more. Thank you!!

Amazing venue for a Wedding

Dickens Inn wedding

Traditional London pub with a lot of history, but at a location that is very stunning and doesn't feel like you're in the city at all. Best of both worlds! Great transportation links but also great views of docked boats, cobbled floors, and as we picked the biggest room, it had very tall beams/ceilings and felt like a fun barn wedding. Team was very professional and communication was throughout. When we met Bogdan, Agata and Daria in person they were very friendly experienced. We didn't have any table decorations for our room, only a guest table decoration, but somehow at last minute they managed to pull up table linens and dried flowers and printed wedding signs to match our theme! We were very impressed by that. There is a handy private bar in the biggest room and the bar staff were also excellent. Over order on the food if you are choosing platters, our guests ate everything up sooner than we thought, and it's harder to order more food on the spot, so take that into account to avoid any food shortage problems. I would say on the whole we felt well looked after, Bogdan, Agata, Daria and the team are very genuine and generous people. It was fun to have our wedding here at Dickens Inn.

Couldn’t have asked for more!

The team at the Dickens Inn were fab! From when we first contacted them to go and see the venue through to the day itself, they were responsive, helpful, and professional.
They would always get back to us on our questions, were excellent value for money, and made the planning so much easier.
The food was delicious (a lot of our guests complimented this), and because we had our day close to Christmas the decorations were perfect.
Would highly recommend this venue and the team!

Absolutely amazing wedding

We got married at the Dickens Inn about a month ago, and it was absolutely incredible. Our wedding coordinator Agata was so friendly, and helpful, and Bogdan, the event coordinator on the day was also amazing! Everyone was saying how the venue looked amazing, the staff were so kind and attentive to guests, and everyone loved the food, both the canapes and the mains. The price was absolutely fantastic for the quality of service we got - from the complimentary menu tasting to the wine tasting, designing beautiful table stationery, honestly, we cannot have picked a better location for our wedding! Absolutely stunning location near Tower Bridge, and also the views over the marina were so beautiful, as well as the quirky and character filled nature of The Dickens Inn itself! Cannot recommend this place enough.

November Wedding at The Dickens Inn

We had our wedding reception at The Dickens Inn in November 2018 and we could not have hoped for anything better – it was perfect! Really easy to contact and chat to Samanta during the planning phase which helped massively.

We were able to set up our table centrepieces and favours the day before the wedding to get the room looking just how we wanted it, although we didn’t do very much – the fairy lights that are already in place around the beams are gorgeous!

We went for a walk with our photographer during the reception and got some fantastic photos in front of Tower Bridge and around the docks – there’s a red phone booth outside and colourful mosaics nearby that make great backdrops.

I’m vegan which they were able to cater for really easily and all of the vegetarian options were without eggs and dairy, including the chocolate brownie dessert that all of the guests had.

We were able to connect a phone to the sound system for our own choice of background music during the meal, we had wireless mics for the speeches and our DJ in the evening had no trouble setting up so we could dance the night away.

We used the raised balcony / mezzanine above the bar in the function room as a photo book area with props and a Polaroid camera and it was perfect for this as it kept it slightly separate for people.

Our wedding was truly the day of our lives and having the reception at The Dickens Inn was a massive part of that. We couldn’t fault anything and would highly recommend the venue to anyone currently looking for somewhere to celebrate. It’s a gorgeous slice of history right in the middle of central London!
