Best day ever
We had the most amazing day at the Corinthian Grand for our wedding day!
We had our ceremony in the canon suite and wedding breakfast and reception in the Corinthian suite. The food was brilliant; afternoon tea for wedding breakfast and an evening buffet. The team were really diligent to allergies and dietary requirements.
We have to give a special mention to Ffion, our on the day coordinator, who made sure everything was to out liking!

Wedding 2nd May 2026

Universality Reunion Dinner
I attended the Liverpool Dental School reunion evening dinner on 4th Oct. and the service was fine and the staff were excellent but I was appalled by the quality of the food. The steak was inedible. It was impossible to cut (even if using steak knives - which weren't provided) and none of the 5 people on my table were able to eat more than a small portion of their steak. For the dessert course I had creme brulee - I don't know what it was but it was not creme brulee. It was like a white foam and much of it was still frozen with shards of ice in it which made it most unpleasant to eat - how could the chef let that out of the kitchen? For £80 a head (including wine but without coffee) I can only say that it was a rip off. It will be an occasion memorable for all the wrong reasons. -

WE WOULD LOVE TO THANK THE DOUBLETREE BY HILTON LIVERPOOL. ALL THE STAFF WERE SUPER FRIENDLY AND WELCOMED US AND OUR GUESTS WITH OPEN ARMS. THE DAY FLOWED BEAUTIFULLY AND ABOVE ANYTHING WE COULD HAVE EVER WISHED FOR. BUT SPECIFICALLY A MASSIVE THANK YOU TO FFION FOR MAKING OUR SPECIAL DAY SO MEMORABLE. Best day of our lives
I don't know where to start really. I was a little nervous about planning such a big day that we had both been dreaming of for a long time and at first it felt very overwhelming. Once I had been to see the Doubletree Liverpool however I knew this was the venue for us. The building itself was absolutely breathtaking and all of the staff were so warm and friendly.
Once we had booked we were assigned Vanessa to coordinate our big day and she was absolutely wonderful, nothing was too much trouble and she made me feel like I could just relax and she would take care of all of the finer details.
During our final few visits before the big day we met both the General Manager and the owner who expressed interest in our big day. The owner had a coffee with us and wanted to hear all about the plans and talked us through the best places for pictures in the building which was just so lovely that he was invested in us having a great day.
On the day itself everything was amazing, we had Idajet & Hosam running everything and they were so friendly and helpful. Everything ran like clockwork. One of our guests had limited mobility and they made sure all the provisions were in place to assist which was a special touch for us.
The food we had organised was just absolutely unbelievable. All of our guests commented that it was some of the nicest food they had ever had.
We upgraded to the Bridal suite which was worth every penny as there was ample space for all the bridesmaids to get ready.
The following morning we had breakfast which was wonderful and then used the spa which was just what we needed. We didn't book for treatments but from what we did see we will definitely be going back to do this.
All in all it was the best day of our lives and we cannot thank Doubletree enough for all they did to ensure it was a success.-

Shambolic service
We got married at the Doubletree on 24th August 2024. We had planned this for well over 16 months. During the planning we had 4 different wedding coordinators, so no continuity, which caused great stress and confusion, each time we had a new coordinator we had to go over everything again.
The organisation on the day was shambolic, from sorting out a room for the bridal party to get ready…they expected us to move rooms halfway whilst we were all getting ready! No staff member checked in on the bridal party the whole duration of the morning of the wedding. The hair and make up artists couldn’t believe it.
We were staying over at the hotel the night of the wedding, when we arrived back at the room after the evening, the room hadn’t been cleaned even though we’d been promised it would be done! We ended up having to sort it ourselves! We were promised a late check out at 12 noon. 11am came and housekeeping are banging on the door arguing with us about not having a late check out!
The actual wedding….drinks that we had paid for had not been put out for guests. Music was played at the wrong time during the ceremony. Staff member talking on phone whilst holding a live mic so everyone could hear him. I could go on….
It’s such a shame as the building and the room where the ceremony is held is beautiful.
The bedrooms are grotty, burn marks on the carpet, sloppy paint work, bathroom tiles that need grouting.
We’ve raised a complaint, however we’ve been faced with a manager who is arrogant and disinterested.
Avoid, avoid, avoid. -

Amazing Venue
What can we say. All the team at DoubleTree by Hilton made our wedding day magical. It was everything we had wanted and more. We cannot praise them any higher, we are so glad we picked this place for our wedding venue. -

Brilliant day, Shadae is amazing.
I couldn’t fault anything really.
Everything ran as smoothly as possible. I felt like I had full control.
Even got an upgrade the night before!
