Our dream venue, food, team, and day!

The Buttery and Glasshouse is stunning, and I honestly can't imagine us having got married anywhere else now! We didn't see another venue that was anything like as special as this - the spaces, surroundings, and design are all gorgeous and provide a really flexible setting for whatever kind of wedding you're envisaging. You can style it in so many ways, but it's also really beautiful even without tons of added decoration.

The food was out of this world - multiple guests have said it was one of the best meals of their life! We really wanted excellent food without having the wedding anywhere really formal or exclusive, and it honestly couldn’t have been better than it was. We also had a delicious evening buffet and next morning breakfast which was all amazing too.

We were just blown away by how wonderful our wedding day was, and so much of that was down to the incredible team at The Buttery and Glasshouse. We worked with Leigh Anne when we first booked our wedding there at the start of this year, and subsequently with Catherine as our wedding coordinator. A month after the big day, we’re missing being in touch with them, as they’d become like friends to us. They couldn’t have done more - they are warm and personable, communicative, and super organised. We had total confidence in their ability to deliver everything we discussed, and also loved that they were so receptive to ideas rather than sticking to a package of limited options. Our day felt so personal and full of joy, largely thanks to the talented people we worked with who made it possible for us to bring our vision to life.

Beyond the coordinators, we found all the staff (Dionne, Emma, everyone!) we interacted with totally competent and so lovely - and it all added to the ease and atmosphere of a beautiful day. We will be grateful to the whole team at The Bull always for the most perfect day that we can't stop talking about!

Amazing venue & vibes - perfect day

Besides the stunning location, the value for money is really incredible. There are so many options for your day, and so much is included and already on site which makes planning a breeze.

Every wedding is able to look so different and be so personalized to your tastes which makes it even more special. We were also able to have our French bulldog be part of our day which was amazing.

We got married in the Buttery and had our reception on the patio. We then had our wedding breakfast & party in the Glasshouse. People were able to mingle in the pub and also stayed on site. We had a welcome dinner the might before which was such a great way to get everyone together.

It honestly was a dream come true. Emma and the team were also incredible and took a lot of the stress of the day off my shoulders.

Couldn't recommend it enough, I just wish I could relive the day over again!!!

Venue with a difference.

I recently enjoyed a function at The Buttery and Glasshouse. Where do I start? I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Emma looked after me from start to finish and she was fantastic. Nothing was ever a problem and she made the whole evening incredible.

The building itself is stunning and the setting is lovely, with plenty of parking which made things easy for everyone. We enjoyed welcome drinks of wine and beer, followed by a stunning pizza buffet that all of my guests loved.

I also stayed at the hotel and the room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was excellent too.

A brilliant venue with exceptional service. Highly recommended.

We had the BEST wedding day!!

This was the first and only place we looked at when deciding on our venue and we loved it from the start. Emma and the team are fantastic to work with and made our day very special, we could not have done it with out them. From the start they informed us of everything and responded to anything we needed and made sure the day ran smoothly. The venue itself is stunning and we did all the decorations and flowers ourselves, it does not need much.
It did rain on the day but this did not matter one bit, in fact it actually brought the party to life and added to a better atmosphere inside the pub.
The food is incredible and our guests are all still saying how amazing it was and what a fantastic venue! I would not hesitate to book The Bull for your wedding day, you will not regret it. We also loved the flexibility of the venue being able to do what we like to suit us as a couple. I just wish we could do it all again and we will enjoy coming down to the Bull in future to see everyone and enjoy the amazing food and drink on offer. Thank you once again!!

Fantastic wedding venue and hotel!

We loved having our wedding day (and weekend) at The Bull Hotel. We decided to go with the weekend package. We arrived the Friday and had a lovely dinner with our closest family and friends and stayed until the Sunday morning, after a full fry up! We enjoyed the whole process, from coordinating everything in the lead up to the weekend itself - nothing was too much trouble. The staff were all lovely and very professional. We had our Wedding Breakfast in The Glasshouse which was simply gorgeous, modern but with rustic furnishings, you can add your own style as you wish. We kept ours very simple as its so stunning to look at! We then had our evening reception in the Buttery and was perfect for dancing the night away! We can't thank the team enough, the whole weekend was better than we could have imagined and we are so grateful for making our wedding day so magical!

A wonderful wedding on a very rainy day

We had our wedding on the first Saturday of June 2025 and had the full package. It was a magical day for us. Despite the heavy pouring rain during the speech at the dinner, all the staff members continued to bring our meal and made it an even more romantic memory for us. Catherine was our wedding coordinator and everything went smoothly throughout the preparation, reminding us to decide everything on time, and was easy to follow. The venue is absolutely beautiful and all our guests had a wonderful time.

Outstanding!

We had our wedding at The Buttery and Glasshouse this July and could not recommend them enough. From our first viewing of the venue, to our wedding day and everything in between - the service was phenomenal. Each member of the team went above and beyond to ensure our day was effortless and they certainly took away a lot of our wedding stress.
We had a lovely family meal the day before our wedding and found the stay and dine option helped settle the pre wedding nerves. Emma was incredible with organising our day, so much effort to ensure everything was thought of. I honestly believe our day couldn't have gone any better.
We received so many compliments from our guests about how stunning the venue was. We felt the venue had the perfect mixture of feeling intimate but also plenty of space for our guests to enjoy the outside area and play some games.
Emma was amazing at answering our emails, so incredibly efficient and understanding.
I want to recommend The Buttery and Glasshouse to any couples planning their weddings - both staff and venue were outstanding.

Amazing venue and team!

We recently got married at the Buttery and Glasshouse and we had the most amazing day. From the months leading up to the wedding with all of the meticulous planning, Catherine worked with us to help our vision come to life and even helped us think of things that we hadn’t even considered. Catherine and her team worked very hard to pull the day off and ensured all of our guests were well looked after. The food was amazing and was well received from everyone. We filled the rooms for the night of the wedding and everyone enjoyed their stay, and equally the breakfast was great. Would highly recommend the venue and the team!

What a perfect day!

From the moment we saw this venue we knew it was perfect for us. Catherine and the team worked so hard to make our day truly special and couldn’t have been more helpful, kind and accommodating. The food was delicious, the day flowed beautifully and our guests commented on how relaxed the day felt. We could decorate the venue as we pleased which gave it a really personal feel and we had plenty of time the day before to set it all up. The team looked after us from the very beginning to the very end with regular meetings and contact. We had an amazing day that we will never forget. Thank you so much!

Everything we dreamed of

I instantly loved the venue and clicked with the coordinators and I knew this would be where we got married!
They were so accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we had a perfectly tailored package to us.
Every single member of staff throughout the whole day was brilliant and knew exactly what they were doing.
I felt at ease the whole time as I knew we were in safe hands with Emma and her team.
It was the happiest day of our lives!!!
