Our dream venue, food, team, and day!

The Buttery and Glasshouse is stunning, and I honestly can't imagine us having got married anywhere else now! We didn't see another venue that was anything like as special as this - the spaces, surroundings, and design are all gorgeous and provide a really flexible setting for whatever kind of wedding you're envisaging. You can style it in so many ways, but it's also really beautiful even without tons of added decoration.

The food was out of this world - multiple guests have said it was one of the best meals of their life! We really wanted excellent food without having the wedding anywhere really formal or exclusive, and it honestly couldn’t have been better than it was. We also had a delicious evening buffet and next morning breakfast which was all amazing too.

We were just blown away by how wonderful our wedding day was, and so much of that was down to the incredible team at The Buttery and Glasshouse. We worked with Leigh Anne when we first booked our wedding there at the start of this year, and subsequently with Catherine as our wedding coordinator. A month after the big day, we’re missing being in touch with them, as they’d become like friends to us. They couldn’t have done more - they are warm and personable, communicative, and super organised. We had total confidence in their ability to deliver everything we discussed, and also loved that they were so receptive to ideas rather than sticking to a package of limited options. Our day felt so personal and full of joy, largely thanks to the talented people we worked with who made it possible for us to bring our vision to life.

Beyond the coordinators, we found all the staff (Dionne, Emma, everyone!) we interacted with totally competent and so lovely - and it all added to the ease and atmosphere of a beautiful day. We will be grateful to the whole team at The Bull always for the most perfect day that we can't stop talking about!

A truly amazing wedding venue

At the end of June we got married at the Buttery and Glasshouse and we had a truly amazing day. All the staff involved on the day did a truly remarkable job. All our guests commented on how lovely the venue was and how tasty the food was. Everyone had a great time.
A big shout out to Catherine, our wedding coordinator, and Chloe for making sure the day ran smoothly.

As we got married on a Saturday we set up the Buttery and Glasshouse on the Friday afternoon. After that we relaxed in the bar and as some of us were staying on the Friday night there was a group of seventeen of us who all had dinner together. I stayed the night at the Bull and we all had a very relaxed breakfast in the morning of the wedding. It was great getting ready for my big day at the venue. The Buttery is a stunning venue to have a wedding ceremony and then to be able to have photos on the terrace and outside the hotel was great. The Glasshouse was perfect for our wedding breakfast and for the disco in the evening. Have three spaces close together works so well for a wedding as all the guests are close together but not on top of each other.

On the Sunday morning we all had breakfast together and one of the members of staff had thoughtfully put some of the table decorations from our wedding day on the breakfast tables. This was such a lovely thing to do. Once we had vacated the rooms and put all our things in the cars we were able to sit in the Glasshouse for a few hours to sit and chat with our guests whilst having a drink. This was such a great way to end a truly amazing wedding weekend.

Absolutely beautiful venue!

We recently got married at The Buttery and Glasshouse after being recommended the venue by a friend/previous bride. It is the perfect venue for those couples who want an intimate vibe where your marriage and celebration can all take place under one venue. The staff were incredibly welcoming throughout the entire process and went above and beyond to meet all our expectations for the big day. Leigh-Anne was very informative during our initial consultation and answered any queries we had during the booking process. Our wedding coordinator Catherine done a fabulous job in the lead up to the day and made sure my husband and I felt at ease about everything, from the structure of the day to all the finer details. On the day, she was friendly and approachable to all our guests and made sure the day ran smoothly. We highly recommend The Buttery and Glasshouse

Perfect venue

We got married here just a few days ago, on Sat 8th June 2024. We fell in love with the venue when we visited on their summer open day last year and knew we had to book our wedding here. We loved the relaxed rustic vibe. We are so glad we did! The venue is so versatile, offering various spaces and packages. We opted for the ‘48 hour’ package staying at the venue the night before, and on the wedding night, with exclusive use of the pub area throughout our wedding day (as well as the Buttery & Glasshouse).

We were able to make the space our own with just the right input from Emma, our brilliant wedding co-ordinator. Emma was great, through all the planning and preparation, and on the day itself from start to finish. We felt in very safe hands and the day ran like clockwork due to the brilliant staff.

The food was also amazing, and something which made our day extra special was being able to include our Labrador, as the venue is dog friendly! Many of our guests are still commenting on how much they loved the venue, food and staff. You won’t regret booking your wedding here. Thank you Emma & all the team, memories to cherish for a lifetime :)

Fab venue!

So many of our guests commented on what a nice venue this was and it was perfect for our smaller sized more 'laid back' wedding. Also the food - we went for the smokehouse and it was beyond expectations. So delicious and different from your normal wedding menu. Could not have picked a better venue for our ideal wedding!

The most perfect wedding venue

If you're looking for a wedding venue that has absolutely everything, then The Bull is the perfect place for it. We booked our wedding way back in 2022 after one visit and we knew back then we had made the right choice. Emma, our wedding coordinator, was an absolute dream to work with. She went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. There were so many fine details that we didn't think of that they did for us that made us so happy. Ollie on the bar kept all the drinks flowing and was a joy to have work on our day. In fact the entire staff at the venue were incredible - everything was organised like a military operation. And we haven't even spoke about the food - THE FOOD! We went for the smokehouse feast and it was probably one of the greatest pieces of BBQ brisket we've ever had. Everyone with certain dietary requirements were catered for and nothing was too much to ask for.

We also had all 11 bedrooms included in our package and they were fantastic. The bridal suite was the perfect size for the bridal party to get ready in and all the beds in each room were comfy. Everything was spotless, clean and each room had its own distinct charm.

We were looked after incredibly well and our guests were stunned by how beautiful the venue was, how great the staff were and how good the food was. It exceeded all of our expectations and would highly recommend trusting The Bull with your wedding day. If we could do it all again, we would book The Bull all over again. Thank you so much for making our day that even more special.

Great venue and staff

We had our wedding at the Bull in October, couldn't have been more perfect. The events ladies are so lovely and approachable, they made it all so easy and enjoyable.

Excellent venue and amazing service

What an amazing wedding we had on 4th October 2023.
From the first time we dropped in for a drink to take a look at The Bull Hotel, to our initial meeting, to the wonderful wedding open day visit with family, to our actual wedding, the staff and service has been fantastic.
We didn’t want a DJ or sit down 3 course meal including wine. Nothing was too much trouble. We used their wedding packages as a guide, discussed everything at our initial meeting and they gave us a bespoke price for exactly the elements we wanted.
We were blessed with great weather for October. Our civil ceremony was at 4.30pm in the Buttery, with cocktails and canapés on the terrace and a delicious smokehouse buffet in the glasshouse, followed by cakes and a sweetie table.
For entertainment we decided to have a caricaturist The Artful Doodler and magic and mind reading by Robert Fox.
Despite being a Wednesday family and friends decided to book all the rooms and we gathered together for a delicious breakfast the next morning.
The Glasshouse and Buttery is a fabulous all year round wedding venue that is light and airy and gets a 10 out of 10 for service, location, comfort and the best cosmopolitan cocktails 🍸

Wow what can we say!

From the very moment we stepped into the bull hotel we just knew this was the venue for us, the most incredible members of staff who honestly cannot do enough for you. We had great communication throughout from our first visit with Leigh Anne to our final meeting with Emma. The ladies at the Glasshouse are fantastic. Emma throughout the day was amazing and all the staff wemt above and beyond on one of the hottest days of the year. They made our day as stress free as possible and without Emma Leigh-Anne and Charlotte we don't know how we would of done it. They are incredible and deserve so much recognition. The hours they put in for making your day goes as smoothly as possible. You made our day so special and we honestly cannot thank you enough. The food was incredible on the day and also the breakfast the next day. Our guest where over the moon with everything just like us! We cannot wait to go back for a meal in a few weeks and relive our special day through memories again.

Hassle free excellent service

What a beautiful venue with excellent staff! My husband and I had the best wedding day thanks to the Bull Hotel! It was so relaxed and had a family feel which was necessary as we have four children! I couldn't recommend this venue enough!
