Kay was incredible at being so flexible with our intimate reception! She answered any and every question promptly and professionally. The staff on the day were wonderful. The bridal suite is gorgeous and the guests that stayed with us were happy with their rooms. Breakfast both mornings was lovely, with staff remembering mine and my son’s allergies which was incredible!
The rooms we used were lovely and exactly what we wanted!
The food was probably the best meal I’ve ever had. Our guests were raving about the quality. The presentation was exquisite, more than we could have hoped for!
We managed to have some rare English sun so could go into the garden for the cocktail hour which was gorgeous.

Friendly Staff and Great Food!
We got married at The Bedford Hotel in October 25. From the first day we went for a viewing all the staff were so friendly. Hannah and Kay helped us every step of the way through the planning process and the day went seamlessly. As big food lovers, the wedding breakfast was incredible and we just had such a fantastic day all round.The Bedford Hotel's reply:

All the staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble for any of them, they did absolutely everything to make our day go smooth, stress free and made it perfect for what we had planned for. Food was absolutely fantastic too.

Perfect Day

We had our winter wedding (package) at the Bedford hotel back in February 2024 and it was a wonderful experience. The venue was absolutely beautiful and the food was amazing. The Bedford has a positive word of mouth regarding the standards of the food and it really lived up to expectations. Kay was phenomenal at helping us and the staff were so welcoming to us and our guests.The Bedford Hotel's reply:

Wonderful Wedding Venue, with amazing character and charm.
The location is set in an ancient stannary and market town in Tavistock on Dartmoor.
The Wedding coordinator and the staff were very attentive and made our Wedding Day special with lots of happy memories.
Our Wedding Guests loved the venue and it's unique character. We couldn't ask for more.

Fantastic from beginning to end
The Bedford was the perfect wedding venue. Kay, Kirsty, Dylan and the team could not do enough for us. Nothing was too much to ask, they went above and beyond and offered to support us in ways we could not even imagine needing. For example holding a brolly and walking with us to the church and waiting outside at the end of the ceremony to keep us dry on the way back. The food was hot and phenomenal and exactly like our wedding tasting, very impressive on such big scale. We had so many compliments about the food from our guests and it even had a mention in the guest book as the best wedding food they had ever had. The evening West Country boards were so impressive not only because they took 4 people to carry but show casing local produce which was great for family and friends who had traveled from afar.
Kay’s communication from our first enquiry throughout the planning process and on the day its self was so prompt which was hugely helpful and appreciated she helped our wedding dreams come to reality.
We will be forever thankful to the Bedford for making our wedding day so special it really felt like a home from home during our wedding celebrations.The Bedford Hotel's reply:

They were fantastic at accommodating our needs from the start and very adaptable when things were going crazy close to the day.
