We had the most wonderful experience with our wedding venue.
The staff were absolutely fantastic, incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive throughout the whole process. Several of our guests specifically commented afterwards on how lovely and welcoming the staff were, which really speaks volumes about the level of service provided.
We also can’t thank the team enough for how accommodating they were with our dogs, who were able to attend and be part of our full wedding day. Having them there was incredibly important to us, and the team made us feel completely comfortable and never made it feel like an inconvenience. It meant so much to have such an important part of our family.
The venue itself is in a beautiful location and provides the perfect backdrop for wedding photographs. There are some gorgeous scenic spots nearby, making it ideal for heading off-site for a few photos and getting some beautiful natural shots. We would particularly recommend booking the Library Restaurant room for the ceremony, as the views are absolutely stunning and made the ceremony feel even more special.
The set-up on the day was incredibly smooth, and everything came together perfectly. A special thank you to Amanda, who was so helpful with the pre-set-up and made the whole process much easier for us. Her help and support were hugely appreciated.
Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better venue for our wedding. The combination of the beautiful setting, stunning scenery, exceptional service and incredibly accommodating team made it a truly memorable experience. -

Amanda the wedding planner was amazing so calm and professional nothing was ever too much trouble including us moving the date three times! Herself and her team were exceptional on the day everything was perfect and ran like clockwork, the guests all commented that the food was amazing and the staff were all so lovely welcoming. They were so accommodating of our entertainer and our decorations ensuring me it will all be fine, thank you so much and i couldn't recommend them enough!! -

my husband and I got married at the bear on May 22nd. From day one (which was over 2 years ago!) Amanda, the wedding coordinator was nothing but friendly, super attentive and organised. In each meeting and email I felt supported and reassured whilst planning the wedding. As for the venue itself, just wow. No need for loads of decorations as the Bear has such a personality and vibe itself! The wedding packages are amazing value for money and saved me booking 100 other vendors as it included everything. An afternoon tea choice for the wedding breakfast was such a unique idea that we and our guests loved! We had so many compliments on the venue and the staff which we could shout from rooftops about. Amanda the wedding manager did a fantastic job for our wedding. Nothing was too much trouble, very reliable, organised, responsive to our emails and enquiries. Our big day was just perfect. The whole team on the day was amazing and couldn’t thank you enough. I highly recommend this venue to engaged couples who want to find a venue that has beautiful scenery, cracking food and brilliant service. Thanks so much. -

We cannot thank Amanda and the entire team enough for everything — from the lead‑up to the wedding right through to the day itself. We truly could not have wished for a better venue, more welcoming hosts, or a more perfect celebration.
We received so many compliments on the food, the setting, and the wonderful staff, and our stay was absolutely fantastic. We are incredibly grateful to everyone for making our wedding on December 12th 2025, so special. Thank you.

We got married at The Bear of Rodborough on 20th December and had the most incredible day. The venue is stunning, whatever time of year. With breathtaking views and luxurious interior. The food is in incredible and really made the day just perfect. We had guidance throughout both before and during the day from the lovely wedding coordinator Amanda which was amazing. Our guests had the very best time knowing they could relax and enjoy every part of the event having booked one of the lovely rooms there too.
We would recommend to anyone looking for Cotswold charm and scenery, amazing food with a friendly feel the Bear is the perfect place. I would choose it again and again. -

Amanda and her team were just amazing and made everything run smoothly. They were all so kind and welcoming and made sure everything was as we asked.

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Bear. They were very relaxed yet also responsive on the run up to the day - Amanda is brilliant and was there to answer all of the little questions we had. Our food was wonderful - their menu caters well for everyone and the vegan food in particular was excellent. Lots of our guests commented on how good it was on the day! All of the staff were lovely on the day - just quietly sorting everything out behind the scenes but there if you needed them. Highly recommend! -

We cannot thank The Bear of Rodborough enough for the wonderful day they helped us to create.
In the lead up, we felt fully supported and nothing felt like too much.
We really appreciated all of the attention to detail on the day which made our day run smoothly.
The food was delicious; we chose afternoon tea for our wedding breakfast, which was the perfect choice for a very hot summers day!
We would not change a thing about our day and it just felt truly magical. If you're looking for a beautiful venue where everything can be taken care of for you, look no further!
