Our day was just perfect. A lot of hard work and planning went into making our day the best day we could have ever imagined.
Amanda and her team were just amazing and made everything run smoothly. They were all so kind and welcoming and made sure everything was as we asked.

We had the most wonderful experience celebrating our wedding at The Bear of Rodborough! From start to finish, everything was perfect. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous, providing the perfect backdrop for our special day. The food was exceptional – every guest commented on how delicious it was. Amanda, the coordinator, was incredibly professional, attentive, and helpful, making the entire planning process seamless and stress-free. Thanks to her and the amazing team, our wedding day truly exceeded all our expectations. We couldn’t recommend The Bear of Rodborough more! -

We absolutely loved having our wedding at the Bear. They were very relaxed yet also responsive on the run up to the day - Amanda is brilliant and was there to answer all of the little questions we had. Our food was wonderful - their menu caters well for everyone and the vegan food in particular was excellent. Lots of our guests commented on how good it was on the day! All of the staff were lovely on the day - just quietly sorting everything out behind the scenes but there if you needed them. Highly recommend! -

We cannot thank The Bear of Rodborough enough for the wonderful day they helped us to create.
In the lead up, we felt fully supported and nothing felt like too much.
We really appreciated all of the attention to detail on the day which made our day run smoothly.
The food was delicious; we chose afternoon tea for our wedding breakfast, which was the perfect choice for a very hot summers day!
We would not change a thing about our day and it just felt truly magical. If you're looking for a beautiful venue where everything can be taken care of for you, look no further!

Amanda and the whole team at The Bear are just incredible. From the moment we booked up until the wedding nothing was too much of an ask. The replies were always prompt and questions were never left unanswered. Amanda and the whole team are so friendly, welcoming and attentive. The whole day ran smoothly without any issues. We had so many compliments from our guests on how beautiful the hotel was, how amazing the food was and how lovely all the staff were. We honestly could not have booked a more perfect wedding venue. We will always be thankful and grateful to Amanda and the whole team for helping us achieve the most magical wedding day.
We can not wait to go back and celebrate our Anniversary’s! -

We couldn’t have chosen a better wedding venue than The Bear of Rodborough for our wedding on 1st December, 2023.
The Bear is unique. The first thing that must strike any visitor to The Bear is its extraordinarily beautiful location! The views from the hotel, with its high position within a huge expanse of rural beauty, is just breathtaking!
But The Bear does not rely on its geographical location alone to make it attractive. As one enters the hotel it is immediately apparent that the interior is full of character and charm with its many intriguing nooks and crannies. The bar is well-stocked and the rooms offer comfort, convenience and variety that make this a suitable venue for those guests with mobility issues.
From the first time we met with Amanda and the team we knew we had struck gold. Nothing was too much trouble and our ideas and changes-of-mind were always received with flexibility and willingness to accommodate the many personal touches that we wished to incorporate into our small family wedding.
We needed to accommodate 25 guests and the Terrace Room worked perfectly for our ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening entertainment. We also had use of the Garden Room, with its cosy, blazing log fire, and the Marquee, which, when warmed with the efficient and silent heaters, offered a sizeable and comfortable space for larger groups of guests to sit and talk.
The food was outstanding and this vital aspect of our day offered yet another example where the restaurant manager and the chef were wonderfully accommodating. Our guests’ dietary needs were easily met and the service, appearance and, most importantly, taste of the food were superb.
If all this wasn’t enough, just across the road is a renowned ice cream factory, where the local Winstones ice cream is made, sold and delicious! Who knows…this, too, might become a feature of your wedding at The Bear! -

Brilliant from start to finish
We got married on 16/09/23 and it went perfectly, the staff were all great, food was absolutely perfect and all of our guests said how well looked after they felt. Amanda was also brilliant from start to finish, she replied to all of my questions very quickly right up until a few days before. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an intimate wedding in a beautiful & characteristic venue. -
