From the moment we first visited The Astbury, we knew there was something truly special about it, but what made our wedding experience completely unforgettable was Val. We honestly cannot put into words how incredible she has been throughout the entire journey.
Val is everything you could ever hope for in a wedding planner and so much more. She is exceptionally organised, professional, calm, kind and endlessly supportive. No question was ever too much, no request ever felt like a problem, and she was always there whenever we needed her. Over the months of planning, she really got to know us as a couple and became such an important part of our wedding journey. We built such a lovely relationship with her and genuinely trusted her with every detail of our day.
We had a lot of ideas, requests and personal touches we wanted included, and somehow Val made every single one happen flawlessly. On the wedding day itself, everything was beyond perfect. Every detail was taken care of so seamlessly that we were able to completely relax and just soak in every second. Knowing Val was there overseeing everything gave us so much comfort and confidence.
The Astbury itself is simply breathtaking. Every part of the venue feels magical, from the beautiful Manor House to the Walled Garden and stunning Tipi. It offers so many options and every single area feels special in its own way. The setting created the most perfect atmosphere for our wedding and honestly exceeded every expectation we had. For the quality, beauty and experience you receive, the value for money is unbelievable.
What meant the most to us was hearing our guests constantly telling us it was one of the best weddings they had ever been to. So many people commented on how stunning the venue was, how smoothly everything ran and how unforgettable the whole day felt. It truly felt like a dream from beginning to end.

Our wedding was at the Astbury on the 4/7/26 & was literally the most perfect day.
Val, the events organiser, is incredible, a really lovely lady. Her level of care & attention went above & beyond, we can’t thank her & the team enough for making the day everything we could wish for & more, we literally wouldn’t change a thing. Nothing was too much trouble & we could relax into the day knowing everything was taken care off.
The Astbury is a beautiful venue with lots of amazing photo opportunities. We had our service outside & the reception in the tepee, it was perfect for our wedding party of 70. The service & DJ were spot on & the food delicious & very abundant!
An added bonus are the lodges that can be hired by guests, many of our wedding party did this & made a weekend of it, so extended the celebrations! We had the cottage for two nights, perfect for the bridal party to get ready in. Also lovely we could bring our dog Teddy along to take part in the whole day.
Our guests could not compliment the Astbury enough, to hear your wedding is perfect makes it even more special, a wonderful day. -

Our dreams truly became reality thanks to Val and the incredible team. From the very first meeting through to our wedding day and even beyond, everything was executed seamlessly and with absolute precision. No request was too big or too small, and the level of care and attention to detail was consistently outstanding—not only for us, but for all of our guests as well.
One of the things we appreciated most was the flexibility of the package. It was thoughtfully tailored to suit our vision, with no hesitation in adjusting or removing elements to help manage costs. The communication throughout the entire process was exceptional. Val met with us regularly, guiding us through every stage and patiently answering our many questions. From registrars and suppliers to allergies and legal details, her knowledge and support were invaluable.
The exclusive cottage for the wedding couple was a fantastic addition, making the day even more special and stress-free—especially with the added luxury of a beautiful hot tub. On the day itself, everything flowed so naturally that much of the team’s hard work went completely unnoticed, which is a true testament to how smoothly everything was run.
The food and drink were absolutely incredible and received glowing feedback from our guests. The evening menu was also thoughtfully adapted to suit our plans, which we really appreciated. The team made us feel like true VIPs, always warm, welcoming, and fully invested in creating unforgettable memories while taking care of every detail behind the scenes.
Even when the weather changed on the day, nothing was compromised. Their professionalism and adaptability ensured everything remained perfect. There genuinely isn’t a single thing we would change about our wedding day.
We continue to visit the venue whenever we can, always greeted so warmly by the team—it feels like coming back to friends. Being able to include our dog in our special day was the icing on the cake.

Ours was a small (15 people) wedding after 25 years together with close family & friends. Everything from start to finish at the Astbury Golf Club really was special from the efficient and friendly organisation provided by Val to the excellent quality of the food provided on the day.
Beautiful venue and grounds in the Shropshire countryside; we really couldn't have wished for a better wedding day.The Astbury Golf & Lodge Resort's reply:

Val and her team at The Astbury were incredible from start to finish! We were blown away by the venues beauty, location and this indescribable magical feeling in your belly as we walked round and took in more of the place. We arranged a meeting with Val and instantly felt at ease and knew this HAD to be the one! Both the outside and inside space is beautiful; it was exciting to leave it to mother nature on the day! Everyone is so helpful, attentive and friendly and made it so special/personal.
Val is so friendly, informative, organised and attentive. We didn't stop laughing the whole way through, like I was planning the day with a lifelong friend. Val communicated at all the right times and was so reassuring and helpful. The whole process and wedding day was seamlessly coordinated, we were just left to fully enjoy it. Everything was perfect!
The food on the wedding day was incredible, even better than the tasting menu which we already loved. You get so much value for money as you already have your DJ, venue flowers, welcome drinks and a generous amount of wine with the package already.....and so much more!
Every staff member you speak to is so kind, helpful and informative. They all seamlessly work together and create the most magical day in the most beautiful location. Having Val with the package is a priceless gift!!
After so many months of planning, organising and thinking, the day was left to be fully enjoyed without having to think about a thing. She will guide you through each bit and will be your biggest cheerleader.The Astbury Golf & Lodge Resort's reply:

May 2026 wedding
We hosted our wedding at the beautiful Astbury Golf & Lodge Resort this May and had the most amazing day. Valme was fantastic—relaxed, flexible, and always quick to respond, making the whole planning process stress-free. She pulled everything together perfectly, and the venue itself was a stunning setting for our celebration. The Astbury is truly a hidden gem. We must have viewed at least 10 venues across the West Midlands before discovering it, and until then, we just hadn't found "the one."
From the moment we arrived, we were blown away. The venue itself is stunning – from the beautiful grounds and the Manor House to the accommodation. Every detail exceeded our expectations. The food throughout the day was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of it too.
What really made the experience exceptional, though, was the team. Every member of staff was incredible and couldn't do enough for us. They were so accommodating, attentive, and worked tirelessly both in the lead-up to the wedding and on the day itself. Honestly, we couldn't fault a single thing. (Big mention to Millie and Carol, thank you both so much!!)
A very special mention has to go to Val. She was absolutely amazing from start to finish and played such a huge part in making our wedding everything we hoped it would be. We had plenty of questions, ideas, and requests along the way, but nothing was ever too much trouble for her. No matter what we asked, she was always happy to help, quick to respond, and genuinely invested in making sure everything was perfect for us. She guided us through every stage of the planning process, reassured us whenever we needed it, and made what could have been a stressful experience feel exciting and enjoyable.
By the time the wedding came around, it felt like Val wasn't just our wedding coordinator, but someone who genuinely cared about us and our day. We're honestly going to miss messaging her and working with her so much!
Thank you to Val and the entire Astbury team for making our wedding day so incredibly special. It was everything we dreamed of and more, and we will be forever grateful for the memories you've given us. 💗💗

We had our perfect day on 23.05.26, the whole team at The Astbury are just simply incredible! Nothing was too much hassle and everything was organised so perfectly!
From our first viewing until the day of our wedding we were so fortunate to have met Valme, the wedding coordinator for the venue. Now when I tell you this lady knows her stuff! We felt very confident and safe being looked after by Valme through the whole process, there’s nothing she doesn’t know about weddings! Valme made sure our day ran flawlessly from start to finish.
We were fortunate enough to get married in their very beautiful walled gardens however the queens room is equally as stunning! Our wedding breakfast and evening reception took place in their rustic tipi which is just breathtaking.
We honestly couldn’t recommend the Astbury more. It was the perfect place filled with incredible staff. Thank you all!

If you’re thinking of booking The Astbury as your wedding venue - do it! We had the best day. No ask was too big and we had lots of options as to how and where we got married and how the reception would look. The team at The Astbury was faultless and Val, the events manger was amazing - they really all helped make our day what it was! Wonderful venue, wonderful team! Honestly don't think our day would have been as great without the help of our event organiser Val Gomez, she was so helpful and supportive and made what could have been a stressful process so simple and easy. The whole team were wonderful and very accommodating to disabilities and dietary requirements, and I feel like the price we paid was more than worth it!The Astbury Golf & Lodge Resort's reply:
