Being a cynical old sociophobe, I might be forgiven for assuming Tewinbury Farm Hotel was some sort of smiling, high-grade cult. Every last person who works there seems genuinely, unshakeably happy to either see you, serve you, or bend over backward for your every wedding whim. Be careful what you wish for, though—I don’t think they ever actually say no to a single request!
When we first arrived, it felt a bit like the opening act of a post-apocalyptic movie—the sort where the world outside is falling apart and you finally stumble upon the rumoured, word-of-mouth utopian village where everyone is suspiciously safe and happy. Despite being set on sprawling, tranquil farmland along the River Mimram, it’s fantastically close to London, making it the ultimate idyllic getaway without the brutal travel time.
Choosing it over about 6 other contenders, I had the absolute pleasure of getting married there in July 2026. We held our service in the gorgeous adjoining garden before moving into the 17th-century Thythe barn for our wedding breakfast and evening do. My husband is still sobbing like a baby from the beautiful memories of the day, and honestly, I can't blame him.
The entire experience flowed seamlessly, largely because the event staff are nothing short of magic—acting like a full-blown fleet of fairy godmothers Flora (Emily), Fauna (Kirsty), Merryweather (Charlotte), and Tinkerbell (Lauren) all rolled into one), quietly making sure every detail was flawless behind the scenes.
The level of care in the planning is unmatched. They arrange full menu tastings—covering all the food, canapés, and wine—and even tip you off when another wedding is set up in your chosen space, so you can sneak a quick preview of how yours might look. They even let us make use of a store cupboard to set everything up the day before, removing every shred of stress.
On the day of our tasting, we met a couple who were staying overnight for their tenth wedding anniversary—a tradition they’ve kept up every single year since getting married there. That tells you everything you need to know about the place.
Beyond being a top-tier wedding venues, the farm itself is a proper destination. They have a fantastic farm shop, a brilliant café, a children's play area, and regularly host weekend events with live music. It’s genuinely a place you can keep coming back to on weekends, whether with the kids or aged parents. I would have marked this review down one point as there is no pool. However, I’m told that they are working on that, so the next time we stay we might be abler to swim on a natural pond/pool

• Service: The event team works with effortless, world-class precision, creating a celebration that feels effortless, warm, and utterly unforgettable.
It turns out that if you want an unmatched level of hospitality, breathtaking surroundings, and people who truly care, having your wedding at Tewinbury Farm is the best decision you could possibly make.

Hosting our wedding with Tewinbury Farm was an absolute delight - the team were so friendly and flexible from start to finish, any idea or question that we had was no problem at all and they were more than willing to make things work however they could.
It was important for us to get somewhere with rooms as we had most of our guests travelling from all over the country. We also booked an area in the bar for the night before to get guests together for a drink and some nibbles. All of our guests were very complimentary of all aspects of the weekend, from the hotel rooms, to the bar the night before (with live music), and then everything on the day went so smoothly, with lots of people praising the food.
Tewinbury do lots of weddings, and from our perspective this was a huge positive as it the day went completely like clockwork as the team know exactly what works well on the day. Despite the volume of weddings, it still felt like our day was completely tailored to us.
All of the personal touches that we had created were carefully put together on the day by the team, and with just basic instructions they made everything look amazing. The weather wasn't completely on our side on the day, but it didn't make any difference, we were still able to use indoor and outdoor spaces whenever we could.
We would recommend Tewinbury to ANYONE looking for their next wedding venue. Thank you again! -

We got married at Tewinbury Farm a few months ago and cannot thank them enough for our perfect day!
Everything was so easy and perfect right from our first viewing to the wedding day and after.
Emily & Kirsty are so helpful, responsive and approachable, no question was too big or small and they always seemed so invested and keen to help, like we were the only couple they were helping to plan their big day! We were able to create a beautiful and tailor made day that was exactly what we had imagined. They have so many choices and options so you really can make it your own. All our guests are still RAVING about the food, saying it’s the best meal they’ve ever had at a wedding - and we agree!
The team on the day were just amazing, Charlotte & her team obviously love what they do because everything was done with the biggest smiles and they all genuinely care about your big day - nothing was too big a task and we cannot thank them enough for keeping the gears turning and giving us our perfect wedding!
The bedrooms are beautiful, grounds stunning, and the animals are happy and the perfect touch! Especially as we are big lovers of farming and the outdoors! (Would love to see some more animals soon)
We will always hold tewinbury as a very special place in our heart - and cannot wait to spend our anniversary and other special days at our favourite place! -

We are so grateful to the whole team at Tewinbury Farm for making our wedding day so special. The venue provided so much, which made the whole wedding planning process feel that little bit easier. From the beautiful ceremony settings, both indoors and outside, to the excellent catering, hotel rooms for our guests, two bars, table linens, fire pit and even a pizza van for the evening. So many details were already taken care of. The restaurant was also perfect for breakfast the next morning, and their supplier recommendations were incredibly helpful.
The food was a particular highlight, with so many of our guests commenting on how amazing it was.
A special thank you to Kirsty, who was fantastic throughout the planning process, and to Charlotte, who looked after us so well on the day. She was incredibly calm and reassuring, especially when I was feeling nervous, and made sure everything ran smoothly.
Tewinbury Farm really gave us everything we needed to enjoy our day without worrying about the little things. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue or a more supportive team, and we are so grateful for everything they did to make our wedding so memorable. -

Good morning all,
We hope you’re well, I’m sure you’re gearing up for more weddings over the weekend!
Before we head off on our travels we wanted to write and personally thank Charlotte, Kirsty & Emily and all the staff who had a significant impact in the way our day went, including the lovely ladies on reception that we have spoken to on a few occasions now!
We can tell you wholeheartedly it was the BEST day of our lives, we can’t stop talking about it and neither can our guests. As you can imagine we are emotional wrecks at the minute but for all the right reasons of course!
Tewinbury has held a spot in our hearts since we first laid eyes on it 20 months ago and through all the planning, all the emails, all the meetings, the wedding fares, the menu tasting, the stunning scenery, the beautiful rooms and then of course the luxury of dry sunny weather on our wedding day. At the end of all of that, you have delivered the best day of our lives and for that we are truly grateful and now every time we return, we will have those memories for the rest of our lives, thanks to you.
Thank you for everything and I’m sure we will see you all again very soon. We would be grateful if you could let us know if you’re able to accept gifts so we can arrange something for you that would be great. Also if there is anywhere we are able to put feedback for you please let us know and we will arrange that!

Judith Sent on 17/09/2026Beautiful Venue (if slightly let down by their organisational skills)
Tewinbury was an ideal fit for our laidback spring wedding- plenty of room for a ceilidh, but without feeling too cavernous with a smallish number of guests (70). Also perfect for a wedding with lots of children, as they had plenty of space to run around outside, with the added tranquility of having the gated, private garden space.
The whole wedding team were really lovely, and very accommodating of all our requests, including a big Easter egg hunt, and getting their bar staff involved with an escape game for the guests.
On the day Charlotte kept everything running smoothly and to time, without anything feeling rushed. I will say that when she left in the evening things did get a bit more haphazard (ice cream tubs simply dumped on the side, without any of the labels we'd made for them etc) so a bit of a better handover could have taken place there.
Unfortunately I truly can't give this venue five stars however, as we had so many organisational slip ups during the lead up to it. Some were very minor (being included in an open email chain with other couples (GDPR!), being emailed several times to book in meetings we already had in the calendar etc) which can be forgiven but maybe show that things aren't discussed between the team as well as they should be, but others were more serious such as sending a wedding invoice to a bridesmaid rather than us.
It transpired that there is a major flaw with their booking system, which meant that when we booked out several rooms for wedding party members and then tried to reassign those rooms, their details became inexplicably interwined with our wedding booking details. This happened despite their own room booking platform supposedly having the option to reassign rooms (Spoiler: it doesn't work....) and us therefore contacting the venue directly to request these changes.
In the lead up to the wedding itself this became even more exacerbated when guests were sent each other's details (even though rooms had been booked at different times) leading to unneccessary stress. When I contacted the team to express my distress at this I was firstly rebuffed and made to feel lile it was my fault, not a flaw in their system, and then ignored, at which point, being so close to the big day, I decided to leave it be. When I followed up on the issues post wedding, I was again made to feel like it was our fault for booking more than one room, but surely this is not an unheard of thing, especially at a venue that holds business meetings? I don't feel like I truly received an apology for all the stress caused, which, given that I've poured over £20,000 into a place purporting to give 5- star service, is extremely disappointing.
I would also be a little bit wary of the bar tab set up- I'm not fully convinced ours was completely used- that might have been our fault for attempting a token system, but I did ask that after a certain time in the evening that should be dispensed with...
Those things being said, it is a truly beautiful location. We even managed to have a few days "mini-moon" staying at one of the hot tub huts on site, which was truly special.
I do recommend this venue- but just be very on top of email threads and get all guests to book their own rooms!!!

We had the most wonderful wedding at Tewinbury Farm Hotel and honestly couldn't have wished for a more perfect day.
From start to finish, the whole team were absolutely fantastic. Every member of staff went above and beyond to make our wedding feel incredibly special. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and we felt so well looked after throughout the entire day.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for our wedding. Everything looked stunning, the atmosphere was wonderful, and our guests had such a lovely time.
We also felt that Tewinbury offered excellent value for money. The quality of the venue, food, service and attention we received made our wedding package feel worth every penny.
Planning a wedding can be stressful, but the team at Tewinbury made everything run so smoothly, allowing us to simply relax and enjoy our day with our family and friends.
Our wedding was on the 27th August 2026 was everything we hoped it would be and more. We came away with the most amazing memories that we will treasure forever. -

We couldn’t recommend Tewinbury highly enough. The planning process was enjoyable and we were made to feel welcome every time we visited. The wedding team answered every question we had (and there was a lot!) and made us feel like no request was too much. Our guests commented on how amazing the food was, and the bedrooms are beautifully decorated it really is an amazing venue with so much character and we can’t wait to visit again soon! -

A beautiful venue full of very helpful and kind staff. We felt really well supported during the two years of planning that went into our wedding day but sadly there were a handful of operational issues in the week leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day itself. Whilst these small issues didn't affect the overall day significantly, they were issues that we felt shouldn't have happened given the level of planning and money that had gone into the day.
