An Amazing Day We'll Never Forget

We got married at the Strathaven Hotel on the 28th December 2023. To say it was an amazing day was an understatement. Naturally we ere nervous about the organisation of it; however, we shouldn't have been. Morgan and all the staff at the hotel were an amazing support in the lead up to the wedding and on the day itself. Morgan guided and advised us really well in the months before the wedding, and on the day of the wedding all of the events staff were outstanding. The standard of the service was exceptional and nothing was too much of a problem or a worry. The staff worked hard during the day but every single one of them did it with a smile on their face. Cannot recommend them, or the venue, highly enough.

A Perfect Day!

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Strathaven Hotel in November 2025, and we had the best day ever! From the very first venue viewing to the day itself, Morgan, Lisa and the team went above and beyond to ensure that we had the perfect day exactly as we had pictured it. No query or request was too much hassle during the planning stages, and the team accommodated all of our requirements with such ease! The team were always on hand in the months running up to the wedding, and day itself ran like clockwork. The service, food and drinks were fantastic and all of our guests commented what a fabulous venue the Strathaven Hotel is. My husband and I both feel that we could not have chosen a better place for our big day. Would highly recommend!

Our perfect day at the Strathaven Hotel

We had a terrific experience with the wedding team at the Strathaven Hotel. From our first contact we felt very comfortable discussing our plans. We had scheduled meetings leading up to our special day to ensure nothing had been forgotten. We used
suppliers recommended by the staff including a local florist and piper who were excellent. Many of our guests commented on the quality of our wedding breafast. The hotel exterior and gardens provided a perfect backdrop for our photographs. Many thanks to Morgan, Gillian and Jen for making our wedding day dream come true. Best wishes Douglas & Eileen

Beyond our wildest dreams

Even though our wedding was small and intimate. From the first visit to the wedding day every aspect was catered for with care and professionalism. Our 4 golden retrievers were included in the ceremony. Nothing was a problem to them and they made our special day even better than we could have dreamed in the beautiful surroundings of the hotel. Every guest commented on the quality of the staff and venue.

The Strathaven truly went above and beyond to make our day magical.

Strathaven hotel will forever have a special place in our hearts. We experienced such happiness and joy during our wedding day at this hotel. The hotel its self is beautiful and an excellent setting for a wedding. But it was the staff at the hotel that made our stay truly perfect. They put such effort into making everything flawless for our big day. With lots of attention to detail, coordinating everything perfectly for us so that the day was faultless. Both Managers Gillian and Morgan are wonderful people who have a fabulous team behind them. It was Morgan that overseen our big day. She is truly a lovely, kind heart person. She put so much effort into finding out exactly what we wanted for our big day. Throughout our wedding she was there to help coordinate and run the day smoothly and very professionally. We can’t thank them enough for making our day sublime and giving us wonderful wedding.

Absolutely perfect

Me and my husband!! had our wedding at the beautiful Strathaven hotel on 2nd September. From start to finish the service and attention to detail was just amazing. Any worries or questions I had for wedding planning was quicnly dealt with and they were extremely supportive during the planning process. I loved the fact there was flexibility and a relaxed atmosphere at the venue. Everyone I've spoken to had a fantastic time and all the better with the sunshine and lovely garden grounds to sit and enjoy inbetween the ceremony and meal. It's a day we will never forget and can't thank everyone enough at the venue. They went over an above on the day and it ran so smoothly.

Could not recommend this venue more. The staff were all extremely helpful and could not do enough for us! Nothing was a bother to them. Every time we visited they spoke to us as if we had been friends for years. Such a hidden gem!

Wedding Day

We were married September 2023 and can honestly say that we had the best day ever! Everything ran like clockwork and everything seemed so organised. Morgan was our events co ordinator and nothing was too much trouble for her. Friendly, but professional at all times. Totally recommend The Strathaven Hotel.

Incredible

The Strathaven Hotel was the first venue we visited when planning our wedding and, right from the very first meeting, we knew it was the right fit for us (so much so, we cancelled every other appointment we had made).

The venue itself is lovely - for both the ceremony and function - but it's really the staff who make it special. Morgan and Jen were incredible and Gillian was just amazing. We adored her! They were all so accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. They allowed us to do our own thing without shoehorning us into some generic package (as so many other venue would have). Everything was bespoke, designed to fit our needs.

On the day of the wedding, the staff were so in control of everything. We didn't need to worry about anything. Not a single thing went wrong. Their food is also of a much higher standard than that served at other weddings I've been too.

All in all, we really can't heap enough praise on the Strathaven Hotel. It was just a wonderful, stress-free experience from beginning to end, culminating in a brilliant wedding day.
