The most perfect, personalised and wedding

The most perfect wedding venue!

Hannah, our wedding coordinator, Alec, our master of ceremonies and all the team at Shawhill were absolutely incredible throughout the planning process and on the big day itself.

It was the wedding of our dreams and we had the best day of our lives.
All of our guests loved the venue which has produced some stunning backdrops for our photos; unreal, delicious food ;and top quality service from staff. From the level of care and support early on in the planning process after we were let down by our last venue, we couldn’t fault Hannah, Alec and the team. Every little detail was how we imagined and staff went above and beyond for all our guests to enjoy the day (especially accommodating our grandparents).

We can’t recommend you all enough!

If you are looking for a wedding venue that are personal, easy to communicate with and truely care about you (and we can vouch that not all venues truely do care), then you won’t find a better local venue than Shawhill!

We will definitely be back to share the memories and enjoy you food in the near future!

The most perfect wedding venue!

Hannah, our wedding coordinator, Alec, our master of ceremonies and all the team at Shawhill were absolutely incredible throughout the planning process and on the big day itself.

It was the wedding of our dreams and we had the best day of our lives.
All of our guests loved the venue which has produced some stunning backdrops for our photos; unreal, delicious food ;and top quality service from staff. Wedding - April 2024

My husband and I had our wedding reception at Shaw Hill in April 2024. When we were looking for our reception venue, Shaw Hill immediately stood out to us in terms of value for money when compared to other places in the area.
We weren't disappointed!
We were very keen on having a wedding where our guests were comfortable, well-fed and well-watered. The quality of the food on offer was really important to us. The wedding breakfast was amazing - the standard of food was fantastic and we received so many compliments about how delicious it was and plentiful it was.
Hannah was amazing in the run up to the wedding - she was incredibly helpful and always on hand to answer the many questions we had.
On the day, Alec and the team were amazing. As our MC, Alec looked after us and our guests incredibly well - he was on top of every detail and made sure the day and evening ran smoothly; even suggesting tweaks to the running order that worked well.
We'd have no hesitation in recommending Shaw Hill to other couples looking to have a wonderful day.

Awesome Staff, Excellent Organisation

Amazing Venue

Our wonderful wedding

Throughout the whole process from booking the wedding, through to the day after the wedding, the hotel and staff have been amazing. So flexible and catering to our every need. I could not think of a more well organised, professional and beautiful place to get married. Hannah and the team are fantastic and will change things to suit you (even at the very last minute) without an issue. All I can say is we will have the best possible memories of our special day thanks to all the staff at Shaw Hill Golf and Spa Hotel xxxx

Phenomenal ❤︯🲭🲲

We had our dream wedding 27/04/24 at Shaw Hill. Hannah was our organiser from the start, she was super helpful and supportive all the way throughout, explaining everything in detail.

She was so helpful organising a family meal the night before (with over 25 people it's hard work to plan but the team were so accommodating even when some of our guests wanted to change orders). The food was incredible (so many wonderful comments on the fish and chips, lamb duo and corn fed chicken).

The wedding day was so relaxed - the brunch for myself (bride) and my bridesmaids was amazing whilst getting ready - cereals, fresh fruit, pastries, prosecco, yoghurt, compote, toast, we didn't go hungry!)

Alec was our master of ceremonies and was brilliant! Professional yet so welcoming and friendly - made us feel really at ease even when we had screaming children (that made the ceremony late) 😅 everyone was so calm and the day flowed so well.

The food and wine was incredible (salmon starter was delicious, as was the roast beef and sticky toffee!) everyone commented on the high quality of the food and how helpful the team were. The team worked so hard to make our room beautiful and set up the most stunning cake table.

Big shoutout to Jamie too who despite being on reception - helped my 90 year old nan decorate my wedding cake (and nan is a handful) but she loved him and they smashed designing it!

We couldn't have asked for more, it was truly amazing - it just went too quickly!

Amazing day and we can't thank everyone enough!

Brilliant wedding venue

We recently had our wedding at Shaw Hill and it could not have gone better. Myself and my new husband want to thank everyone from Shaw Hill - specifically Hannah and Alec for making the whole experience a fairy tale. It was everything and more than we imagined. Nothing was ever too much for the team. Food was outstanding and all staff friendly and accommodating. The weather was brilliant too which made for beautiful pictures on their stunning grounds. There is a bridal room for the bridal party to get ready in which is spacious, clean and cool. The honeymoon suite is to die for, such a spacious, clean, modern but with some original features preserved.

The Perfect Wedding Venue!

We can't thank Hannah and her team at Shaw Hill enough for creating our wedding day! We had seen many venues, but none were as welcoming and hospitable as Shaw Hill. We wanted a full vegetarian wedding, and the team at Shaw Hill made that so easy for us. I'm sure the chef doesn't regurlary serve a full vegetarian three course meal, but they pleased all of our carnivore guests! We had so many compliments from all of our guests, and all the staff's efforts really showed. Shaw Hill were so accomodating and really helped to make our wedding bespoke to our needs. Hannah and Alec made the day so stress free for us, and took the weight on their shoulders so we could actually enjoy our day.

We worked with Hannah for several months whilst organising the wedding, and she was always available and happy to help in any way she could. We really couldn't be more grateful, and we got so many compliments from our guests about both the venue and the staff.

The venue itself is stunning and our photographer was able to use several indoor and outdoor areas for our photographs and the results were beautiful. The ceremony room was perfect for our needs, it was intimate and beautifully decorated. We really can't recommend this venue enough. Thank you so much to the Shaw Hill team :)

Where do I start? Hannah has been amazing. Nothing was too big of a job for her. She helped out with ALOT of questions. Even with the numbers changing last minute!!

Lovely venue set in beautiful grounds with the most amazing team.

We booked our wedding at Shaw Hill with the wedding planner, Hannah. Hannah put us at ease from the very start and tailored our wedding to what we wanted. The day went perfectly, all the team were so friendly, however I have to point out Hannah again, who was our Master of Ceremonies for the day. Absolutely nothing was too much trouble, she was calm, efficient but also so lovely and supportive.
Other positives include the food, that was amazing and the venue itself which is really beautiful.
