Mark and I can’t thank Jen, Shannon and the team enough for delivering our perfect day.
I had the best check in experience when we first arrived to be met by a waggly tail at reception.
We organised a last minute twilight wedding just before Christmas 2024.
Every little detail had been carefully thought through. We were able to put our own stamp on the food served, the guests loved the buffet and there was plenty of it. The room to get ready in was absolutely huge and really modern. Every little detail had been taken care of and the staff were amazing. Fire pit was lit and drinks were flowing.

We looked at a few wedding venues before deciding on North Lakes Hotel and decided it fit best with what we wanted and offered good value and most importantly allows dogs as we had one of our dogs at the wedding ceremony and reception.
There was a room available from as early as you require for bridal preparations which I am informed was a lovely room for everyone to get ready in.
We had a small wedding ceremony with a small wedding breakfast of 20 people which suited the Little Martindale room perfectly it can seat upto 26.
It is a beautiful room with beams wrapped in lights and with a few flowers was perfect.
You also get the small terrace area after your wedding for drinks and photos while Jen and her team transform The Little Martindale for your wedding breakfast.
The Little Martindale was everything we wanted and Jen and the team along with the flowers (Greenwheat Florist) made it so perfect.
The food that was served was all tasty and everyone enjoyed it clean plates all round some of the best wedding food I have ever had the braised blade of beef was amazing.
For our evening reception we had the Cross Fell suite as we had around 95 guests and again Jen and her team did their magic and transformed what is a function room into a lovely evening reception venue with ceiling drapes, up lighters and start light back drop curtains to the dance floor again we couldn’t of asked for anymore.
We had a hot food buffet served for evening guests which again was all very tasty with something for everyone to eat again no complaints there either.
Jen the wedding planner needs a special mention as she did everything she could and more to ensure our day ran perfectly.
We had a photobooth cancel on us 2 hours before our wedding reception and Jen and her team managed to locate us a replacement (Vintage Photbooth Cumbria) and he was set up for 8:00pm
and was a real hit and really did make our day perfect
Our wedding suite was clean and comfortable with a lovely chilled bottle of champagne and chocolates.
It is a little dated now which we were aware of when booking, the hotel is slowly updating all the rooms in the hotel they just haven’t got round to the wedding suite yet.
We had breakfast the following morning which is all cooked to order and of some of the best quality food you will find.
There was also a continental breakfast available to all as well as fresh fruit, lovely yoghurt and a pancake machine making fresh pancakes as you wait.
We didn’t use the spa on our wedding weekend but we did have use of it another day throughly enjoyed it.
All in all we couldn’t fault North Lakes Hotel for wedding venue and highly recommend it. -

Wow... we had a small intimate wedding and it was perfect. From the very beginning of the planning process Jen heard and met our requests without a single issue. I can not recommend Jen and her team enough, they went above and beyond to give us our perfect day. -

We chose North Lakes for many reasons, Jen is super organised, the venue is stunning, it has rooms onsite for guests and is also dog friendly! We started planning 16 months prior and throughout the whole process Jen was there for us.
I can’t say I was probably the easiest bride to deal with as I always have 1000 questions but Jen was super friendly and attentive.
On the day of our wedding I was absolutely blown away by how it looked, everything came together perfectly, the day went off without a hitch too! Everything was timed absolutely spot on and our guests have not stopped talking about how well it went.
I would highly recommend this venue for so many different reasons! -

Jubilee day Wedding
From day we met Jen to the day after our wedding, our every needs was taken care of. Leaving us to concentrate on ensuring our own personal cares were attended to. The venue,Jen and her team were all magnificent and alleviated any worries we may of had -

We had our wedding here in May. We'll were do i start. Jen was amazing and made us feel relaxed all day. My nana is 78 and she had doubts of it been a long day with with her having a room meant she go take of and relax for a while. The food was amazing people still coment to this day how much the could each it all again. The grounds are amazing for photos and all the staff are on hand 24/7 . Nothing is to much for them. They made me feel welcome by setting me out the red-carpet and a glass of champers. I wish we could do it all over again I would not change a thing. -
