    Poor service, poor experience

    Broken facilities, service was poor, things were missing from our agreement, yet not only did they not correct any of these they kept our deposit. They're slow to respond, unapologetic and blame us for their errors like the A/C not working.

    Dear Mercer,

    We take customer reviews very seriously but we cannot accept them when they don't express the true circumstances of what really happened!

    All your discontent lies in the fact that the Hotel retained the Bond you paid to cover potential disruption, damage, waste disposal and kitchen cleaning.

    As mentioned to you in our meetings Mercure Bankfield Hotel is surrounded by a residential area and has a Duty of Care towards its local residents regarding noise nuisance, such as pyrotechnic devices including Fireworks, Smoke Bombs and Flares are not permitted at our venue unless it is an organized display provided by the hotel's nominated supplier.

    Even though we advised you to ensure the Bridal Party was aware of this request, as any complaints reported to Bradford City Council would lead to the loss of your bond, the Grooms family set off several pyrotechnic devices on the day. This lead to the local community presenting a formal complaint to Bradford City Council.

    These terms and conditions were mentioned in your contract and signed and agreed to but you failed to comply with them.

    We have a clear conscience that we delivered the best service. Even though we set a high standard for ourselves we still didn't satisfy your expectations.

    Great venue - had a lovely day

    This is a beautiful venue, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Only slight let downs were very slow response times to our emails, especially early in the booking process, and several administrative errors we had to correct that made planning just a bit more stressful! But everything was sorted by the big day and we had a fantastic time.

    Rafiq Wedding

    Wow! Staff were brilliant. Wedding Coordinator Tim was on point, very polite & friendly, lovely person in general. Let's not forget to mention Sahira Saddique who put in so much hard work and effort to make this my dream wedding. A very Big Thank you to the Mercure Staff also who set up the venue. I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding. It's just perfect when it comes to location, scenery, friendliness of staff and at a very good price.

    Amazing Staff and Venue

    Hello,

    Can I just say thank you to you and the team who worked so hard to make our day so special. Everything was perfect I had the most amazing day and the venue looked amazing. I wish I could do it all over again

    “The team at the Mercure Bradford Bankfield Hotel couldn’t have been more helpful when arranging our rather unconventional short-ish notice wedding. From the start we knew we wanted to do something a bit different and Claire worked with us to create a bespoke package that catered for not only our quirky ceremony, but also for a large number of people with food allergies and intolerances. That wouldn’t have been possible without a flexible and open minded approach from the venue throughout the planning period (which was only a couple of months!) and then on the day itself. The food was absolutely amazing and plentiful – even for our guests with specific dietary requirements. We were able to arrange something that was unique, full of character and what many of our guests described as “the most memorable wedding” they’d ever attended.” Richard & Tori Murie

    Outstanding!!

    Well where do we start ! Outstanding!! The staff who served our food were amazing and so efficient I had one lady apologies I did not get her name but she poured my tea behind me and took every care not to spill anything on my dress and she was so lovely checking in on us to make sure everything was ok and if we needed anything.
    You took so much care and detail for our day, nothing was too much trouble.
    Your staff are a credit to you and your beautiful hotel.

    Beautiful and cosy venue

    “Our wedding reception at the Bankfield was the best time of our lives that we can not stop thinking about!
    Our wedding coordinator Claire was very friendly, attentive and nothing we asked her was too much trouble.
    All the staff on the night were polite and made the evening perfect for us particularly our bar-man and DJ Mark.
    The food provided was tasty and all our guests complimented it.
    The Bankfield is such a beautiful and cosy venue which allows you to style your wedding to your suiting.
    We only wish we could do it all again!

    brother and sister in laws vowel renewel

    I just want to say a massive thank you to all involved in my brother and sister in laws vowel renewel 12/8/2017, it was an amazing experience start to finish! The room was beautiful! The food was Devine! All the staff were so very helpful! Our rooms were clean and breakfast today was fab!
    Huge thank you for all your support and hard work! You helped to make there day a perfect relaxed one!
