Our elopement at Low Wood Bay was nothing short of incredible. We were lucky with the weather, but even more so with the team who looked after us. The wedding coordinators were exceptional—nothing was ever too big or too small. From our initial meetings to arranging bespoke seating for our intimate wedding breakfast, everything flowed seamlessly. The Buckley Room looked beautiful, and every detail felt thoughtfully handled.
All of our vendors were welcomed warmly by the hotel, and even the other guests we encountered were lovely, which really speaks to the atmosphere Low Wood creates. We genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
A special mention has to go to the fact that our dog received her own guest pack—it made her feel like part of the celebration, and it meant the world to us.
We would highly recommend Low Wood Bay to anyone considering an elopement or intimate wedding. If we could do it all again, we absolutely would. -

Mathieson Wedding 30/10/25
The wedding coordinators for the low wood took on the task of having a cross site wedding to make our day perfect!
We had an intimate family ceremony at their sister location - The Wild Boar Estate and we then continued the celebrating at The Low wood Bay for our evening guests!
The day was perfect! It ran without fault and we cannot thank them all for the time and patience in making it a day to remember for not just us but all our guests!
The venues themselves are beyond amazing, the food was nothing short of exceptional at both locations!
I cannot recommend the Low Wood Bay or the coordinators enough for anyone considering to have their special day there! -

Having looked at numerous venues to hold our wedding we still hadn't found one with the WOW factor we were looking for, until following a recommendation from a work colleague who went regularly to Low Wood Bay on the shores of Lake Windermere for the Thermal Spa experience.
After booking a viewing, on arrival just looking at the Hotel and its stunning views immediately gave us the the first WOW we didn't expect, our initial reaction being we wouldn't be able afford it.
We were warmly met by Lucy our wedding co-ordinator, who showed us round and encouraged us to ask any questions that we had, she then introduced the various packages that were available and the prices for each, we chose the Elopement package especially when she told us what it would include and at a price surprisingly within our budget,it even included the Thermal Spa experience and Lake View room for two nights as well as a wood burning afternoon tea before we left, this was perfect, just what we were looking for, we readily accepted the package and paid the deposit the following day to prevent someone else booking the date we wanted.
Leading up to the wedding we kept in touch regularly with Lucy and her team and any requests we had were dealt with promptly and politely, the team even sent us names and addresses of local cake makers and make-up Artists.
The big day itself was absolutely wonderful, the ceremony,the food, everything was 1st class,all
our family and friends thoroughly enjoyed it.
We would have no hesitation in recommending Low Wood Bay and Resort to anyone looking for an absolutely,Stunning, beautiful Wedding Day.

Our post-Christmas wedding 🤍
We picked Low Wood as our wedding venue for the 28th December last year, we’d been there a few times for trips and absolutely fell in love with the hotel, the views and the team that worked there.
From planning to first visits right the way through to the wedding day the team were unbelievable.
We don’t actually live close to Low Wood so we put our full faith in the team to make sure everything was sorted as we had planned, they even helped with everything down to recommended suppliers locally that made everything so much easier!
We had the most perfect day from start to finish, I didn’t think it could look better than I imaged but it did! Every detail I’d wanted was done to the next level and I didn’t have to think twice about anything they were always two steps ahead.
Couldn’t recommend a venue with a lovelier team and more beautiful views - the photos say everything! -

We are so pleased we decided to have our wedding at Low Wood. The venue and location are beautiful and all of the staff are helpful and attentive. The standard of service is high and the food and drinks were wonderful. The weddings team are very experienced and knowledgeable, helping us every step of the way. We could not want for more, thank you. -

The most perfect day!
My husband and I got married at Low Wood Bay in May last year! We selected this venue due to the great location for our family and friends as we are from the North, beautiful views of Windermere, stylish design and the layout of the venue as the ceremony/wedding breakfast room are at one end of the hotel meaning a more private feel without having to book a fully exclusive package to avoid cross over with hotel guests! The main selling point though was the wedding team! They provided exceptional service with prompt communication, flexibility when needed around some of the meal choices and great suggestions for the day taking a lot of the stress away from the planning of the big day! They were super organised which meant the day ran perfectly and even better than we imagined! A truly magical day that we will never forget! Many of our guests commented on the venue, quality of the food and how much they enjoyed our special day 😊. -

Amazing Venue and Great Team
The wedding team at Low Wood are fantastic. Very knowledgeable, fantastic options and suggestions. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a family set back 18 months prior to our wedding which meant some slight changes, the team could not have been more supportive and flexible and helped to ensure we still got our special day we had dreamed of.
On the day everything was perfect all our guests have said what a great day it was and we arranged a cruise as a surprise to guests for between the wedding breakfast and evening reception which everyone really enjoyed and was a great way to chill out with our guests and something fun to do.
We highly recommend Low Wood not only for the amazing views but if you want second to none service then look no further. -

Can’t think of better venue
As soon as we viewed the Low Wood, we knew it was the one! So much so we only actually looked round there and didn’t bother looking anywhere else! The location is stunning, and all the staff really just want the best for you. The wedding team is gold standard quality, they could not have been more helpful and their response time was almost immediate, if not the very next day. Nothing was too much trouble for them to organise, I also felt that they were genuinely excited for my wedding which was lovely. On the day it ran SO smooth, I barely had to think of anything. The food was delicious, no complaints at all. Overall the low wood is a beautiful venue and holds such a special place in our hearts. -
