The Hydro were amazing. Can’t fault them at all. Our wedding was effortless for us. So well organised and running on time. Everyone had such a great time. We received so many compliments from our guests on the venue, staff and food. Thank you so much Hydro Team

An amazing venue

Me and my husband had the most amazing wedding day at The Hydro Hotel, they made the whole planning process stress free. I would highly recommend them to any newly engaged couple looking for a wedding venue.
Laura and her team were very helpful, quick to respond to you and over all amazing.
The day couldn't of gone any better.
They also recommended a DJ to us who we booked (White Ice Sounds) who was absolutely brilliant as well.

Magical Wedding Day

The Hydro is an absolutely amazing venue! Views over the sea and the outdoor lawns and gardens make you feel like you’re having a destination wedding. We loved it and our guests loved it. Guests said it was the best wedding food they had ever had and the service was impeccable. Thanks to Jonathan, Angie, Julie, Francois, Julian & the whole team who from day 1 of planning made the process seamless and stress free. The other thing we liked about getting married here was that it isn’t solely a wedding venue. We didn’t feel like we were part of something commercial. It felt so much more personal. In addition to this you do get many of the function rooms for your own use so it also feels private too.

I would definitely recommend a stay in the Downlands suite for a few nights the views are stunning and it’s a lovely room to get ready in for a bride! The hair and make up I had for the day said it was one of the most beautiful venues they had ever visited.

We felt it was very good value for money as well considering what you get included and the quality of the food & service.

Thanks again to everyone at the Hydro you really did make our wedding dreams come true!!

A great day for my dad and his new bride!!

My dad and his new bride had a lovely day at the Hydro. The staff were fantastic and nothing was too much for them to organise. They helped with planning the room and they day went without a hitch. Food was lovely and had a great day.

wedding 26 July 2019

We looked at numerous venues in Eastbourne early in 2018 and only the Hydro came up trumps with its level of service and professionalism.
The weather on the wedding day morning was inclement but around 1.30pm the skies cleared and with the amazing work done by Hydro staff in setting out and drying chairs, erecting decorations, we were able to have our dream wedding outside in the pagoda overlooking the sea at 2pm
The reception was first class with lovely food which our 75 guests enjoyed and throughout the day and evening the level of service from all the staff was impeccable. Special thanks to Jonathan and Angie.
It was excellent value and worth every penny and we have no hesitation in highly recemending the Hydro for your wedding

Our very 'casual' amazing wedding

We found the Hydro Hotel just by chance, on an unplanned weekend away.
The moment we walked into this gem, we looked at each other….and said “This is it!”
It’s unique ‘Step back in time’ décor, to the breath-taking views of the sea from the beautiful terrace, there was only one choice. We booked the date that day.
From our initial meeting with Angie, the hotel listened to every word we said. They pulled out every stop, and left no stone unturned to make sure they fulfilled our wishes. Right up to our weekend, we were consulted and informed every step of the way.
On the Friday, the Team kept the 70 guests happy with their rooms, breakfast on Saturday was full of compliments.
Thank you to the amazing Julian for his organisation on ‘the day’ from the absolutely stunning reception room, the ceremony venue outside, to just keeping me calm.
Their timings were perfect…Drinks on the Terrace at 5pm, A delicious hot/cold buffet (which seemed) endless at 5:30pm
Our ceremony was at 7pm -we then partied (heavily!!) until 12.
Every single one of our guests were overwhelmed and complimentary with the whole ‘relaxed’ day of No Suits, “ it was perfect in every single way” (quote)
Thank you, Jonathan and your amazing team, for really making our wedding ‘just perfect’, you all really went above and beyond.
As we walked away on Sunday, looked at each other and said “we wouldn’t have changed a thing” x

Magical day by the sea- a step back in time

The Hydro team did our wedding 30 years ago and was the first choice for us for a family wedding between 2 people with learning difficulties and autism that we needed to arrange. Angie headed up the organisations and made everything sound easy and possible. The Garden suite was laid out perfectly accommodating 2 wheelchairs and lots of space for all of our guests who could use the patio attached or wander off onto the lawn overlooking the sea.
We had the ceremony outside and it felt like something from a movie, luckily with the hot weather, we felt we could have been on the continent as well. The whole day went smoothly, the hotel even accommodated a much loved family dog and lots of people wanting to have breakfast together the next day to extend the magic.
We could not fault the location, staff, beauty of the setting and magical feel that the day produced.
A special mention should also go to the kitchen staff who produced very tasty food, we had a trio of melon sprinkled with mango- very refreshing, then roast chicken with the trimmings and a heavenly chocolate gooey cheesecake with ice-cream - delicious.
Many special memories have been made.

Hydro Hotel Perfect

We would like to say thank you to everyone at the Hydro Hotel Eastbourne for making our Afternoon Wedding Tea a truly special day. The room we had our Tea in was laid out perfectly the gardens were stunning for the photos and our waiters kept our guest topped up with drinks. We had an over night stay in a truly fabulous room, evening dinner and breakfast was first class.
If you are looking for a stunning venue with great views of the sea and first class service and amazing staff then this is the venue for you.
Thank you again Hydro for making our afternoon wedding tea very special.

A Magical Venue For A Magical Day

We are happy to say we held our wedding reception at The Hydro Hotel in July 2018. We searched high and low for a venue that was impressive but good value for money. The moment we found this beautiful hotel online and all it has to offer we immediately booked it. As soon as we arrived we were reassured that we had made the right decision. The ambience is a perfect balance of luxury and relaxed comfort. It is full of character and our families agree that this is an exceptional venue with attentive, cheerful, friendly staff, which has left us all with magical memories of a magical day. The hotel's website gives an honest reflection of The Hydro, and yet to truly see it in it!s full glory you have to go there. The amazing interior is full of surprises, with views of and easy access to the best hotel gardens in Eastbourne. The sea views are stunning and there is even a heated outdoor pool. We would like keep the Hydro our secret but we don't want to selfish.
