From the minute we walked into Healy Barn to take a look around, 15 months before the wedding to now, two weeks after, they team have been nothing short of perfect.
They supported us, the helped us, they looked after us and all of our often silly requests.....they rolled with it. We never felt like 'another wedding on another day' we felt like we were everything to them at all times.
A number of guests have asked us to pass on their thanks to staff for the way that they were looked after all day is the prefect testament to the hard work.
The food was delicious, the pizzas were incredible and all of the staff were so nice and happy and seemed to enjoy their work, they really added to the day.
The venue was perfect and the day was perfect.

The best day of our entire lives
Thank you so much to everyone at Healey Barn for making our dreams come true with the most magical day. Not only was the day completely perfect from start to finish, the process of planning our wedding was made to feel like a total breeze. Not a single question unanswered (and I asked a lot over 15 months!), we were reassured throughout and kept up to date with everything that was happening. I want to say a special thank you to Liv, you really don’t realise how special you made the whole process and the day for us, there wasn’t a minute on the day where you weren’t ensuring we were all okay and the same for our guests. I can’t tell you how many people mentioned you, your service and the care you showed throughout the day to ensure everything was just so amazing! So many people have told us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Thank you Jack for making our evening feel like the biggest party of the year, you ensured everything ran in time and kept on top of everything throughout! You too are just amazing. We couldn’t be more grateful to all of you at Healey and we wish we could do the whole day all over again! Where do I even start with attempting to show our love and appreciation for the team at Healey Barn and the venue itself.
Friendly staff - tick
Welcoming atmosphere - tick
Great communication - tick
Online management portal - tick
Excellent food - tick
Beautiful venue (both inside & out) - tick
Dog friendly - tick
That’s just to name a few.
We knew we didn’t want a standard 3 course meal but more of a family sharing style. We had looked at a number of places in Scotland but nothing fit the bill. We then moved our search across the boarder and found Healey Barn. This is definitely their bread and butter. So if you want the reassurance that your food is going to be excellent and a smooth service - just book them!
Their website initially had us sold with the incredible pictures and videos showing what they do. What we really loved is we were able to roughly map out what we wanted using their website to see if it was within our budget before booking a visit.
When we first arrived, we were blown away by the venue itself and its welcoming atmosphere which felt homely. There was no doubt that we needed to have Healey Barn as our wedding venue.
From booking, the team were fantastic at communicating and sending personalised reminders about upcoming payment instalments. Nothing was too much to ask and they encouraged questions or to be in touch if we needed them at any point. Whether you get a response from Jack, Leanne or Liv they all knew about you and your day so it kept that personal touch.
Then when it starts getting to crunch time and you have your final planning meeting, they take down so many details to ensure they are getting it right for you. We had our meeting with Jack, your co-ordinator is confirmed a week before, but we knew that whoever we got would be fully informed. It is clear they know what they are doing and do it extremely well. Even last minute tweaks just before the event are not a bother.
We would recommend booking Healey Flowers, Andy Turner Photography, Bride and Groove, AG Events in addition (all reviews on Google). They know the venue and flow really well which made everything seamless.
Finally, the main event. The service team were attentive. The bar staff served people quickly (and very patient with some of our more drunken guests). The chefs absolutely smashed it out the park … our guests cannot stop talking about the beef and brownies!
We had Jack & Dom co-ordinating both the day and evening. It went smoothly from start to finish, being the calm amongst the chaos and looking after us through each transition of the day.
We would also highly recommend booking the spirtz wagon and servicing after wedding breakfast. It went down a treat (and aperol isn’t your only drinks option).
We are so pleased that we chose Healey Barn as our wedding venue and wouldn’t have changed a thing.

There’s doing your job then there’s going the extra mile to make everything as special as possible, and that’s exactly what the team do at Healey. Nothing is ever too much for them.
The venue itself is gorgeous. We had every weather possible on our wedding day (scorching sun, drizzle and a thunderstorm!). We even had a power cut but luckily the venue had a back up generator that kept the whole thing running smoothly so none of the guests even found out!
The food isn’t just wedding food it’s restaurant quality, everyone was saying how amazing it was, and the portions were even better.
Can’t not shout out Jack R who was our coordinator for most of the night too. What a guy. At one point I actually seen him running from one side of the venue to the other, in 30 degree heat but torrential rain carrying a table on his head, just so we could get a photo we wanted!! I also realised the next day I’d messed up on the seating plan and put the wrong table numbers on the chart for guests. Jack noticed straight away and swapped the table numbers so no one even noticed (not even me!). We are so glad we chose this venue and team, best decision we ever made and can’t thank the team enough.
ALSO - we booked our venue 2 years in advance and the year of our wedding when it came to ordering the food, they emailed us and said they’d managed to get the food cheaper than they’d quoted, and knocked £1000 off our bill. We would have been none the wiser but they did it anyway. Absolute quality from the team, would recommend in a heartbeat.Healey Barn - Cripps & Co's reply:

The best venue ever!
We had our wedding at Healey Barn and it was perfect. They are such a friendly bunch of people and have been very quick to reply to our millions of questions via email over the last year! The venue itself is beautiful and barely requires any extra decoration. The ceremony room is stunning, with the fire place and exposed brick walls. The food was incredible and cooked on an open flame in front of our guests in the courtyard. We had pizza for our evening food, again cooked in house using their very own outdoor pizza oven. My husband and I were well looked after on the day, and our guests had a wonderful time. I really couldn’t recommend having your wedding at Healey Barn enough. Incredible day!
I genuinely cannot rate Healey Barn highly enough. We had the most incredible, unforgettable day and feel so lucky to have chosen this venue for our wedding.
From the very first phone call, the team went above and beyond. They fitted us in to view the venue the same day we rang and even welcomed us to bring our dog along. When we arrived we knew this was the place for us. Healey Barn is absolutely stunning inside, and the surrounding countryside is equally beautiful. Despite being a couple of hours from home, it somehow felt like home.
We also loved being able to book Healey Hall for accommodation and spend the wedding weekend with our closest friends and family.
While the venue itself is beautiful, it’s the staff who make Healey Barn exceptional. Even though they host many weddings throughout the year, they somehow make you feel as though yours is the only one that matters. Throughout the planning process, nothing was ever too much trouble. Any questions we had were answered quickly (often the same day), and when it came to the wedding itself, everything ran absolutely perfectly.
We interacted with most members of the team throughout the process, all of whom were fantastic, but special mention to Leanne for our planning meeting, and Liv and Jack, who coordinated our day so perfectly. They were calm, professional, and genuinely cared about making our day special.
Our guests have not stopped talking about how incredible the venue, staff, and food were. Almost everyone commented that it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had (and some of them are very hard to impress!).
If you’re considering Healey Barn, don’t hesitate. We’re already looking forward to coming back for a feast night — and reliving the day all over again.Healey Barn - Cripps & Co's reply:

16th August 2025 - Amazing
Although the day itself was incredible, so was the 12 month build up! It sounds cliche but as soon as we set foot in Healey Barn we knew it was for us. The staff and co-ordinators are fantastic, responsive, professional, but also relaxed. We attended a few times prior to the wedding day - always made to feel welcome and heard. Our person of contact predominantly was Jack R - an absolute credit to the venue and to Cripps & Co. The day exceeded expectations by far and our guests have given us such incredible feedback about the venue and the way it was ran. We cannot recommend Healey Barn enough. From the very first minute we stepped foot at the front doors we were in love - all other upcoming viewings we had booked were cancelled. We knew instantly this was the venue for us. There are so many elements that we need to applaud.
Firstly, the sense of community; Healey Barn and their staff aren’t just there for the wedding day, they’re there for any emails, planning calls, feast nights and visits. Exactly a month before our wedding we visited for their street food night which was amazing, my parents are a bit fussy with food but even they loved every bite.
Secondly, the venue itself. It’s so beautiful as is, of course you can dress it up but we saved some serious cash by feeling like we didn’t need to go over and beyond with decor and flowers. It’s versatile, good for all weathers. So many different settings for photos. Just so, so beautiful.
Thirdly, the staff! Absolutely flawless. We had Jack R and Jack S for our day time and night time and they were truly elite. So on the ball, so on top of everything and anything. The biggest of thanks to our to them. Also another special shout out to the waitress with pink hair (I asked her name and have totally forgotten in the whirlwind of the day - sorry!!), such a beautiful soul, so kind and caring, went above and beyond for everyone there!! Also, all the staff who helped in the run up, Leanne and Sarah especially who answered my many emails and made sure we were happy every time!!
Overall, we had support from day one and never once worried or stressed (beyond the usual!) about the day. The day was flawless, they decorated exactly as I imagined, the vibes were immaculate and every single part was easy.
We will definitely be back for the feast nights and are so so glad Healey Barn will forever be part of our lives 🩷🧡Healey Barn - Cripps & Co's reply:

We had our beautiful ceremony and reception at Healey barn and they completely smashed it!
We fell in love with this venue nearly 2 years ago and after visiting one of their feast nights we knew we would have the best day, but it was even better than we thought!
The staff were exceptional! The jacks made our time planning and on the day seamless, they listened to what we were after and were so kind and caring!
We cannot thank them enough for everything they did
I don’t have enough words to say how amazing this venue staff and FOOD were!
