Where do I start.. our day was perfect in every way!
Firstly, the venue is out of this world, as soon as we pulled up on the open day we knew the venue was for us. Who wouldn't want to get married in a castle.
Francesca was the first member of staff we met and without doubt sold us the venue, from then I knew we needed her throughout our wedding journey. I had so many questions and Francesca was there every single step of the way, we couldn't of been more grateful. Her attention to details was outstanding! She was in charge of our whole day, organising our suppliers, our family and friends and of course looking after us. We truly cannot thank Francesca enough.
The food was to die for, all our guests were speechless at how amazing it all was. The chefs work so hard to provide you with no basic wedding food! Every single canape was beautiful and had people going back for more.
The venue speaks for itself, it is beautiful- the getting ready rooms, the grounds even the honeymoon suite. Do not hesitate to book this venue, if we could do it again we will be back at Farnham Castle.

Farnham Castle was one of two venues we looked at. As soon as stepped through the door - we knew that it was the place for us! From start to finish the service was impeccable. Heather, our wedding coordinator, went above and beyond for us, and made the day so very special. We can’t fault Farnham Castle at all. The food was perfect, the venue is STUNNING, and everything went so smoothly on our day.
Farnham Castle really is one of the best venues and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice.
Because of the team and everything else - we had a day that we will never forget!!! -

When my husband and I arrived at Farnham Castle, we knew that was where we wanted to get married. The spectacular setting and venue speak for themselves. They need very little decoration for you and your guests to feel wowed.
What really sets Farnham Castle apart, however, is the service. Jenna was incredibly communicative and accommodating throughout the whole process. Every suggestion and idea we had she was flexible in helping us ensure it would work. The service of the other staff on the day of the wedding was exceptional. Disabled and elderly guests were particularly well supported and commented on this to us, both in the lead up and after the wedding.
The food was also excellent. We went for the basic food option and again, were incredibly pleased with the quality. The food was slightly more than you might get from other venues where you have more options of caterers, however, it was definitely worth it! The evening pizzas were also excellent!
I would thoroughly recommend Farnham Castle as a wedding venue, however I would recommend working out the costs carefully as it did end up an expensive venue choice for us. -

Perfect location for a winter wedding
We got married at Farnham Castle on the 23rd December. We had visited the venue the year before and it immediately captured our eye. It is beautiful both inside and outside. We were looking for a venue that fitted a winter wedding and this definetly ticked all the boxes! It has covered steps for the confetti shot incase it rains and it has a warm feel inside with fairy lights throughout. It was also important for us that once our guests were inside, they didn't have to go out again until the end of the night!
Organising the wedding was made so simple with our wedding co-ordinators, Laura (who left part way through) and Jenna, which made the planning process enjoyable and relatively stress free. They always responded quickly to emails or phone calls and were willing to discuss our requests for some other non conventional things thrown into the day. It felt like the team were invested in making our day unique and special. Most things are provided by the venue so I would recommend checking beforehand if you want anything non-traditional or extras added in as they may cost more or not allow certain things to be brought in from external suppliers (such as food and drink items) but this didn't specifically effect us.
On the day, we had some last minute guest changes and they were really responsive and helpful with geting them sorted out without stressing out the bride! The day ran so smoothly and went better than I could ever have imagined. The castle looked stunning with Christmas trees and fairy lights throughout. Getting ready in the gatehouse was perfect for me and my bridesmaids and we had plenty of space to spread out and get ready with breakfast, hot drinks and prosecco! We had about 100 guests which was perfect for the space, and we had so many compliments from them all about the venue. The food was amazing and exactly how it was when we went for our private tasting (the creme brulee is the best!). They are very responsive and flexible to all sorts of dietary requirements which made it stress free. There was plenty of overnight accomodation with a great breakfast included. The rooms are not ready for check in until 3pm, which is part way through the wedding day, but as there was no event the night before our guests had the option to check in at 11am (for an extra cost). We had a small incident with a member of staff in the evening which put a slight dampner on the evening for me but we fed that back to the team and they were responsive to the feedback. However, as a whole the staff were amazing and really took care of us on the day. They always were checking in to make sure we were fed and watered throughout the day. The highlights for us included the fairy lights and decor, intimacy of the venue, food, and getting ready space. Thank you to Farnham Castle for making our day so special. We would definitely recommend this venue! -

If anyone is contemplating on having their wedding, celebration, or event at Farnham Castle – we would recommend it without hesitation based on our experience hosting our two-day November wedding there. The enchanting venue paired with the incredible hospitality from the staff allowed everyone to relax and fully immerse themselves in the celebration.
The preservation of Farnham Castle creates an aura that allow everyone to take a break from the hustle and bustle of daily life. The elegant décor of the ceremony rooms transports people as close to a fairy tale as one can get. Whilst a simple stroll around the castle grounds gave our guests a sense of peace.
From behind the scenes, the catering and hospitality team know exactly what they’re doing. Their menu – everything from the canapes, the wine selection, and drinks choices at the bar had something for everyone. Breakfast in the Library allowed everyone to recharge and relive the memories they made the night before.
And all of this would not be possible without the support of Piper, Deborah and Geraldine. They were accommodating and honest about what could and could not be done and most of all, they listened to what we had to say and endeavoured to deliver above and beyond our expectations. Their attention to detail and ability to execute plans with precision made our dream wedding come to life. For anyone else out there looking at Farnham Castle, you’re in good company!

We got married at Farnham Castle on 14th September 2024, and we had the most perfect day we could ever imagine. The castle itself is absolutely stunning, with incredible backdrops everywhere you look (so the pictures are amazing!). It was a real treat to have exclusive use for 24 hours, knowing our guests could roam and enjoy and it was all ours for the day. The food was delicious, and all of our guests commented on how good it was (“best wedding food ever”) and how they managed to have everything perfectly cooked for that number of people was very impressive! We had a lot of different things going on, and the team at the Castle managed to facilitate this. Having the Gatehouse to get ready in was an added bonus and meant the girls could get ready in a relaxed style.
A few things that could be improved (but in no way lessened how amazing our day was!):
- We struggled a little bit with communication in the lead up to the wedding, having to send a number of emails to get answers. We believe this is due to the coordinators being too busy running other weddings (understandably!) but it did require a fair bit of chasing from our side.
- there were a number of additional costs that we weren’t expecting - eg: a £20 per room fee for early check in (normal check in is 3pm which was during our ceremony). As the accommodation was not cheap and there was no wedding the night before, we felt this was a little cheeky. If we wanted a different wet weather option for our reception (luckily not needed on the day), we were quoted £150 to use this room.
- Breakfast was delicious but took a very long time to be served, and a number of our guests were panicking about making check out time as it took over an hour to be served.
Overall, we were very happy with everything Farnham Castle delivered on the day - it really was better than we could have ever imagined!
