The most magical wedding day at Elms Barn! ❤️
I honestly don’t even know where to begin or how to put into words just how incredible our wedding day was. It was everything we could have ever dreamed of and so much more!
From start to finish, the whole experience at Elms Barn was absolutely amazing. The venue itself is just beautiful, but it’s the people behind it who really make it so special.
Ruth, you were absolutely incredible! Nothing was ever too much trouble, and you made the whole experience feel so relaxed and effortless. Your attention to detail, kindness and genuine care meant so much to us. You really went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, and we honestly couldn’t have wished for anyone better.
A special mention also has to go to Sarah, who was amazing on the Friday evening. She was so lovely and helpful and made us feel completely at ease before our big day.
The whole day ran so smoothly, and we were able to just enjoy every single moment without having to worry about a thing. So many of our guests have told us what an incredible day they had, which means the world to us.
I wish we could go back and do it all over again because it really was the best day of our lives.
To Ruth, Sarah and everyone at Elms Barn, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for giving us memories that we will treasure forever.
If you’re considering Elms Barn for your wedding, I honestly cannot recommend it enough. I would choose it a thousand times over! -

We got married in June 2026. Elms barn was amazing from the start. Ruth while showing us around was incredible she answered all of our questions and helped me feel calm and confident about choosing Elms Barn. Through the whole planning process Ruth was there helping answer questions recommending suppliers that suited our vision and coordinating. Each time I walked into the barn my face lit up and I had such an incredible feeling knowing this was my wedding venue. Im quite an anxious person and Ruth really helped me feel at ease and confident during a highly stressful time. I loved being able to have the venue from Friday afternoon all the way till Sunday. It meant I could set up the night before and then have my friends and family with me Friday. Freeing me from stress that night and creating even more memories together. Sarah was there Friday during set up helping me go over last minute details from setting up tables to music and run-throughs. The day was amazing. It was so smooth with both Ruth and Sarah there to help with any last minuet issues. The venue was stunning! The barn is a perfect backdrop for my ceremony. The photographers had endless choices for great portraits and group photos. The food was incredible and very accommodating to changes of menu and a last minuet dietary need. The staff were friendly and professional. They have an in-house floral team that was incredible. I’m not a flowers person so didn’t know much but they took what I did have in mind and made it beautiful. All my guests talked about how amazing the day and venue were so thank you all so much! Elms Barn was the most beautiful backdrop for our day and we couldn't be happier with the choice of venue. Ruth was incredible with organising and responding to every email (of which there were plenty) and Sarah, our on the day coordinator, made sure everything ran smoothly for the best celebration we could have dreamed of. Everything included with the venue, the food, staffing, florals, accommodation and 3 day hire made it a weekend to remember and a day we will never ever forget. Thank you so much! -

We got married at Elms Barn in June, and it honestly could not have been more perfect. From the get go, we really felt how much everyone on the team cares about what they do and are highly skilled. Ruth in particular was our contact throughout everything, and was a force to be reckoned with. She kept us on track with everything we needed to do before the day and offered up some incredible recommendations. The most memorable was for a ceilidh when we thought we may not be able to book one!
The day itself went off without a hitch, from our perspective. Our guests even commented on this, saying how everything flowed so well and that Ruth and her team were ontop of everything. We aren't naive enough to think that everything did run smoothly - but we are so grateful to Ruth for making sure we were kept in the dark of any bumps!
The barn is beautiful and airconned - needed on one of the hottest days of the year! The grounds are insane and I was lucky enough to walk through the rose arches for our outside wedding. The food got so many compliments - especially the lamb - and everyone felt well fed which isn't an easy feat for so many people!
Price-wise, we think it was incredibly reasonable. We also ended up adding a bar tab to our package, and we were able to set strict guidelines of use, which helped keep costs under control!
The venue has some onsite accommodation, that consists of 3 self-service units - two bedrooms and one bathroom, three bedrooms two bathrooms, and seven bedrooms eight bathrooms (all en-suite except one). I would highly recommend booking this. The main house with seven bedrooms has a beautiful bridal suit AND a vanity room for you to have your hair and make up done. Both are on the ground floor, with the vanity tucked behind the staircase which is so clever as you won't be seen by family/guests unless they actively look for you. It was also super handy in the evening for my husband and I to get a few quiet moments alone as it's less than a 5min walk to the barn.
Flowers and table setting decorations (vases, candles, napkins, table cloths) are all available to rent/use via the barn. We took advantage of this for two reasons - we knew we could trust them as they already had it in stock, and they kindly tidied it all away for us the next day! It might be slightly more expensive than going with an external supplier, but when you're hungover it's worth it!
Finally, you're able to view and manage your booking via an online portal. This was so very helpful as I found myself looking at this weekly to understand what was coming up, deadlines, add in info, etc.
I honestly can't express just how amazing the team are at what they do. If I ever get married again, Elms Barn is a no-brainer! -

Our wedding at Elms Barn was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the entire team went above and beyond to make our day feel effortless, joyful, and completely “us.”
A huge thank you to Ruth and Sarah, who were truly exceptional throughout the entire journey. They answered every single one of our questions in the lead‑up to the wedding with quick, reassuring responses. They helped us with our running order, table plan, and coordinating all our vendors — nothing was ever too much trouble. Ruth made sure we were always looked after on the day itself, including never letting us go too long without a drink in hand. Her calm, friendly presence kept us relaxed from start to finish. Sarah handled every finer detail behind the scenes so flawlessly that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Together, they are an absolute dream team, and we cannot thank them both enough.
We also want to mention Teena, the florist, who created the most stunning floristry throughout the venue. From the table arrangements to the bouquets and buttonholes, everything looked incredible. We knew absolutely nothing about flowers, but Teena used her expertise and creativity to design something far beyond anything we could have imagined. Her work brought the whole venue to life.
Our ceremony took place in the Rose Garden, which made the moment even more beautiful. The gardens were perfectly kept, full of blooming flowers, and created the most romantic and picturesque setting for us to say our vows. It truly felt magical.
One of the most meaningful parts of our day was being able to have our dog, Ainsley, at the venue. Not only was he allowed to be there, but he stood with us at the altar, which meant the world to us. Elms Barn embraced this without hesitation, and it made our ceremony even more special.
We also received so much lovely feedback from our guests — everyone commented on how beautiful the venue looked and how amazing the food was. Chef Shel delivered an incredible wedding breakfast that people are still talking about. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the service was flawless.
Another thing that made our experience unforgettable was the 3‑day hire. Being able to spend extra time at the venue before and after the wedding meant we had more precious moments with our loved ones — not just on the day itself, but across the days surrounding our Wednesday wedding. It made everything feel calmer, more intimate, and truly memorable.
The venue looked stunning, the service was exceptional, and every member of staff made our guests feel welcome. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Elms Barn gave us the wedding day we always dreamed of — and more.
We would recommend them wholeheartedly to any couple looking for a beautiful venue with outstanding service and genuinely wonderful people.

We would like to give the most profound thanks to Ruth, Sarah, Teena, and the entire team behind the exceptional operation that is Elms Barn as a wedding venue. From our first meeting with Ruth, our contact throughout most of the process, we recognised a true professional of the business with serious experience but even more importantly someone whose very kind and personal touch would shape our wedding day to be an absolute success and the best day of our lives. Ruth was utterly fantastic in dealing with our questions, responding quickly, guiding us through the process, and absorbing a lot of our stress, for which we are beyond grateful. Teena gave excellent advice regarding flowers and worked to our budget - we were extremely impressed by her stunning arrangements. Sarah was there throughout our wedding weekend and put us completely at ease on what could easily be a very intense and stressful few days. She and the rest of the team were unfailingly diligent, professional, kind, and supportive throughout the entire journey - we are tremendously grateful to them all and really cannot praise them highly enough. Booking with Elms Barn was one of the best decisions we have made at the start of our married life! -

Our wedding at Elms Barn was everything we dreamed of and more.
The entire team were absolutely incredible - in particular Sarah, Ruth and Amanda - who knew what we needed before we even knew it ourselves and made the entire weekend completely seamless. The organisation was second to none- we had so many guests say it was the best wedding they had ever attended and comment on how beautiful the venue and grounds are.
Also huge thank you to Chef Shell - the food was absolutely incredible - many guests also said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. The portions were hearty, super tasty and beautifully presented. Being able to extend the celebrations from the Friday afternoon until the Sunday with our nearest and dearest was perfect - at no point did we feel rushed and the accomodation was so beautiful everyone felt right at home! It really exceeded everything I could ever have wished for and I cannot thank you all enough. You really are the best of the best. We will miss you all! From the moment we arrived at Elms Barn we just knew that this was where we wanted to host our special day. Ruth, Wedding Planner Extraordinaire, was friendly and professional and made us feel at ease. She explained things in a straight forward manner and made the organisation of our event easy. Her communication was excellent and she responded to all of our queries straight away. She was an amazing source of support from the beginning to the end, and worked incredibly hard on the big day to ensure that everything went to plan - which it all did. The Elms Barn venue itself is amazing - it was a premium experience and all our guests commented on the fabulous grounds, facilities and ambience of our wedding.
