Our wedding at Elms Barn was nothing short of perfect. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the entire team went above and beyond to make our day feel effortless, joyful, and completely “us.”

A huge thank you to Ruth and Sarah, who were truly exceptional throughout the entire journey. They answered every single one of our questions in the lead‑up to the wedding with quick, reassuring responses. They helped us with our running order, table plan, and coordinating all our vendors — nothing was ever too much trouble. Ruth made sure we were always looked after on the day itself, including never letting us go too long without a drink in hand. Her calm, friendly presence kept us relaxed from start to finish. Sarah handled every finer detail behind the scenes so flawlessly that we didn’t have to worry about a thing. Together, they are an absolute dream team, and we cannot thank them both enough.

We also want to mention Teena, the florist, who created the most stunning floristry throughout the venue. From the table arrangements to the bouquets and buttonholes, everything looked incredible. We knew absolutely nothing about flowers, but Teena used her expertise and creativity to design something far beyond anything we could have imagined. Her work brought the whole venue to life.

Our ceremony took place in the Rose Garden, which made the moment even more beautiful. The gardens were perfectly kept, full of blooming flowers, and created the most romantic and picturesque setting for us to say our vows. It truly felt magical.

One of the most meaningful parts of our day was being able to have our dog, Ainsley, at the venue. Not only was he allowed to be there, but he stood with us at the altar, which meant the world to us. Elms Barn embraced this without hesitation, and it made our ceremony even more special.

We also received so much lovely feedback from our guests — everyone commented on how beautiful the venue looked and how amazing the food was. Chef Shel delivered an incredible wedding breakfast that people are still talking about. Every dish was cooked to perfection, and the service was flawless.

Another thing that made our experience unforgettable was the 3‑day hire. Being able to spend extra time at the venue before and after the wedding meant we had more precious moments with our loved ones — not just on the day itself, but across the days surrounding our Wednesday wedding. It made everything feel calmer, more intimate, and truly memorable.

The venue looked stunning, the service was exceptional, and every member of staff made our guests feel welcome. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Elms Barn gave us the wedding day we always dreamed of — and more.

We would like to give the most profound thanks to Ruth, Sarah, Teena, and the entire team behind the exceptional operation that is Elms Barn as a wedding venue. From our first meeting with Ruth, our contact throughout most of the process, we recognised a true professional of the business with serious experience but even more importantly someone whose very kind and personal touch would shape our wedding day to be an absolute success and the best day of our lives. Ruth was utterly fantastic in dealing with our questions, responding quickly, guiding us through the process, and absorbing a lot of our stress, for which we are beyond grateful. Teena gave excellent advice regarding flowers and worked to our budget - we were extremely impressed by her stunning arrangements. Sarah was there throughout our wedding weekend and put us completely at ease on what could easily be a very intense and stressful few days. She and the rest of the team were unfailingly diligent, professional, kind, and supportive throughout the entire journey - we are tremendously grateful to them all and really cannot praise them highly enough. Our wedding at Elms Barn was everything we dreamed of and more.
The entire team were absolutely incredible - in particular Sarah, Ruth and Amanda - who knew what we needed before we even knew it ourselves and made the entire weekend completely seamless. The organisation was second to none- we had so many guests say it was the best wedding they had ever attended and comment on how beautiful the venue and grounds are.
Also huge thank you to Chef Shell - the food was absolutely incredible - many guests also said it was the best wedding food they had ever had. The portions were hearty, super tasty and beautifully presented. Being able to extend the celebrations from the Friday afternoon until the Sunday with our nearest and dearest was perfect - at no point did we feel rushed and the accomodation was so beautiful everyone felt right at home! It really exceeded everything I could ever have wished for and I cannot thank you all enough. You really are the best of the best. We will miss you all! From the moment we arrived at Elms Barn we just knew that this was where we wanted to host our special day. Ruth, Wedding Planner Extraordinaire, was friendly and professional and made us feel at ease. She explained things in a straight forward manner and made the organisation of our event easy. Her communication was excellent and she responded to all of our queries straight away. She was an amazing source of support from the beginning to the end, and worked incredibly hard on the big day to ensure that everything went to plan - which it all did. The Elms Barn venue itself is amazing - it was a premium experience and all our guests commented on the fabulous grounds, facilities and ambience of our wedding. We viewed Elms Barn on a rainy November day and instantly fell in love with it! The barn itself is stunning, the gardens are beautiful and it feels inviting. Ruth showed us around on 2 occasions and helped us create the perfect wedding day by answering our questions and helping us work out what we wanted, especially as we didn't have a definite theme in mind. Ruth is very organised, friendly and there throughout the planning journey. The food was delicious and the venue was very good with allergies/dietary requirements. Catering and flowers are both done by Elms Barn, which was easy, and the flowers were stunning. Wedding bookings are a 3 day hire, meaning the day before and day after were relaxed and didn't feel rushed, and staying onsite in the accomodation was lovely :) we highly recommend Elms Barn and had the best DAY ever! Xxx

We had our wedding at Elms Barn on 16/05/2026. It was the first venue we viewed but as soon as we walked round the Barn and gardens we knew it was the perfect venue for us. The whole day was just out of this world and all the staff were amazing, friendly and worked so hard to make the day as special as it was.
A special mention to Ruth and Sarah, they made the day run so smoothly and nothing was ever too much to ask.
The Barn and the surrounding gardens and areas are so stunning, the photographer was spoilt for choice!
The food was 10/10 and everyone commented how delicious it was.
They also have an in-house florist. Teena took our ideas and turned them into something even more stunning than we could have imagined, they were just beautiful.
Having the accommodation from Friday to Sunday was a lovely extra too meaning all our closest family and friends could enjoy time together at such a special time.

From the moment we arrived at Elms Barn to view the venue, we fell in love with it. Not only is the venue stunningly beautiful, the vision Ruth Melton (Wedding and Events Director) helped create was second to none. Every question was answered with ease and complete flexibility.

Taking the stress away of needing to sort our own caterer or florest was a massive help for us - Elms Barn have their own amazing team of chefs and in-house florest. Their dedication and eye for perfection is just beyond words so I will sum up with completely fabulous !

The value for money is great, with three different price range options for meals, a huge selection of wines available with varying prices and a ‘no pressure zone’. It really was our day to plan and budget, with Ruth’s understanding and guidance.

The accommodation was also perfect… the convenience and cleanliness was immaculate. I would recommend to any bride and groom that they stay at the Stackyard Lodge!

The given recommendation of suppliers, services and vendors were perfect. It was easy to tell that so many vendors had been involved in previous weddings at Elms Barn and it made the day even more seamless for it. Everyone was working perfectly together and clearly having an amazing time.

Ruth, Sarah and the team were amazing from the start of the planning process. They were very responsive via email and kept things on track. The venue is stunning, a beautiful barn, gardens and surroundings. And what really drew us in was the fact that they only do maximum of 2 weddings a week so you get time to add your own details and it’s not a rushed turn around. There are also 3 beautiful houses on site where 24 people can stay. This made it such a lovely long weekend for all our family and bridal party. The venue were so accommodating to all our little personalised requests for the day, nothing was ever a no!
The flowers from the in house florist Teena were also absolutely stunning, exactly what we had requested.

We got married at Elms Barn on 08/04/2026 and it was the most wonderful day. We booked a viewing for Elms Barn in April 2025 and knew it was the perfect venue for us - we weren’t even engaged yet! The beautiful exposed beams, red brick and gorgeous gardens won us over. The fact that you get exclusive access for three days was the cherry on top.

Ruth was absolutely fantastic in helping us organise the most perfect two days (we had our legal ceremony in the barn on the Tuesday evening). She was exceptionally quick to respond to our emails and was very knowledgeable about vendors, what worked in the space and recommending timings to ensure a relaxed wedding day. Her knowledge is exceptional.

Our coordinator for both days was Sarah. We had a meeting with Sarah on Tuesday who answered all our last minute questions and took the extra time to calm our nerves. We didn’t have to worry about managing any of the timings and the day went off without a hitch. She was an excellent and calming presence throughout the day.

The food by Shel was incredible (we had the pork belly and herby polenta with goats cheese fritters for our main courses - they were both delicious), and the whole team made the wedding breakfast run seamlessly. Teena is a fantastic florist, and she helped suggest so many different kinds that would work for our idea of soft pastel bud vases. Loads of guests commented on how beautiful the flowers were! The bouquets and button holes were also so beautiful.

From the moment we first viewed Elms Barn almost a year before our wedding, we knew it was the perfect venue for us. It had everything we could have dreamed of and more.

The accommodation was incredible, and having it the night before meant our whole wedding party could settle in, relax, and really enjoy the build-up to the big day together. It made the whole experience feel so special and unhurried.

Sarah and Ruth went above and beyond throughout the entire process to ensure everything ran perfectly. They genuinely felt more like friends than wedding coordinators, and their care and attention meant everything to us.

The flowers from Teena were absolutely spectacular—exactly what we wanted and somehow even better. The food was incredible, especially the vegetarian options. As a vegetarian myself, this was really important to me, and it was amazing to feel so well catered for.

The atmosphere on the day was just perfect, and that is completely down to the beautiful venue and the amazing people who work there. We can’t thank everyone at Elms Barn enough for all of their help, not just on the day but in the months leading up to it. It was everything we hoped for and more 🤍

We honestly couldn’t have picked a more beautiful venue. From the barn to the marquee to the guest houses, everything at Elms Barn is just stunning and made the whole day feel so special. Even though it absolutely poured with rain, the surroundings are so gorgeous that our photos still came out amazing.

A massive shoutout to Teena the florist, who completely brought everything to life. I didn’t really have a clear vision, but she just got it and created something even better than we could’ve imagined.

The staff were incredible from start to finish – all so friendly, smiley and helpful. They really are a credit to the venue. Ruth the weddings director really does know what she’s doing and nothing is too big of an ask. Need to add a special mention to Amanda, who was absolute babe!

The food was also so, so good – loads of our guests have said how much they loved it, which was really important to us. We also loved how flexible everything was and how much freedom we had to make the day feel like our wedding.

I won’t lie as there were a few little hiccups with timings so it wasn’t completely plain sailing, but everything was handled well and never took away from the atmosphere.

We had the best time and honestly couldn’tn recommend Elms Barn enough.

On the 8th of November 2025, we tied the knot at Elms Barn. We had been planning this day for 2 years with the help of Ruth and it exceeded every single expectation. Firstly, the venue itself is stunning, the accommodation is spacious but homely. The ground themselves are vast and wonderful to wonder around as we did the day before and the morning after our wedding. The barn was so intimate for our ceremony and felt like such a special place and thanks to Ruth and the staff, during the changeover periods, the rooms took on new feelings each time we returned.

The flowers from Tina and the florists were stunning and exactly what we wanted. The food was amazing, especially the bangers and mash we had for main! And all of the staff there on the day were so lovely to everyone through the whole day, never slowing down and always having fun.
This was the first wedding venue we looked at when we started planning and we left knowing that we were going to book. This was for all the reasons above relating to the wonderful venue and the packages they offer but also because of Ruth who was instrumental in helping us plan and execute the day of our dreams. We really didn’t know how it was all going to come together, but thanks to her, it did, seamlessly. She is professional, but also kind and fun and she made the whole experience so wonderful and we cannot thank her enough!
