We had our very small interment wedding reception at Downham hall and can honestly say that every single member of staff made our day exceptionally special.
Nothing was ever too much trouble with a member of staff always close by to see to our every need.
If you are considering booking your day or special event at Downham Hall please don’t hesitate as you won’t be disappointed.
Can’t thank you all enough, will definitely see you again soon -

Whilst looking for a wedding venue we came across Downham Hall by pure chance. We attended a wedding open day and was shown around by Andrew who was so passionate about the place. We explained that we wanted our day to reflect us as a couple as well as our individuality. From the moment we booked our special day that's what we got. Communication was fantastic, our requests accommodated and they made the whole process so effortless which truly made the day even more special as we didn't have anything to stress over.
One of our wedding guests was a professional chef and complimented our menu, the ingredients and love that went into preparing the food shone through.
Our day was made even more magical by Downham Hall and the whole team and for that we will forever be grateful! -

Best Day Ever!
We could not fault Downham Hall with our wedding day! If you want a personal intimate wedding then you must choose Downham Hall! They treat you like family and will cater to you and your needs! -

Downham Hall proved to be the perfect choice of wedding venue. It's a beautiful country house with stunning grounds and an amazing team, who went above and beyond from start to finish, to make our day perfect. Genuinely can't recommend highly enough. One visit is a all it took for us to know we wanted to get married at Downham Hall and we're both so pleased we did. -

Amazing wedding day
We had such an amazing wedding day at Downham Hall. They were flexible in the morning, even sorting me some breakfast before they opened. Always checking if we needed anything like drinks whilst getting ready and looking genuinely pleased for us before the ceremony started. We had been to view a number of places and Downham Hall really stood out to us because they really cared. You weren't just another wedding that week, where they didn't really know you as a couple, they got to know us and they were great throughout. I couldn't not comment on the food, not only did a number of people comment on how amazing it was but guests were actually full up. I have been to so many weddings where the food is mediocre and tiny in portion size - not at Downham! Their food is incredible value for money and I couldn't recommend their pizzas anymore. They catered for specific allergy requests, and ensured there were labels of what everything was.
We had torrential rain at points during our day, and we got the most gorgeous photos under an umbrella. The grounds are small enough to be able to move about easily, but large enough to get completely different photos. We were also lucky enough to get a rainbow!
All in all, I couldn't recommend Downham more. You won't regret booking with them. -

We got married at Downham Hall in July 2023 and cannot recommend this venue enough! The location, grounds, rooms and surrounding views are absolutely stunning.
The service was outstanding, the staff worked so hard to make sure everything ran smoothly on the day and were very helpful and informative during the planning process.
The wedding packages they offer are very comprehensive and flexible meaning you can make your wedding day bespoke to you. For example we wanted completely meat free (vegetarian) catering which they were more than happy to create a bespoke menu for us. You also get use of the bridal dressing room and overnight stay in the beautiful hotel rooms included.
I highly recommend you visit the venue to see it for yourself and if you do decide to book it for your wedding day, I’m sure you won’t regret it 💕

Downham Hall was the perfect venue for us. It had an intimate feel and the beautiful countryside surroundings gave our wedding a peaceful setting.
The team were all great and were quick to respond to any questions or requests we had.
Our wedding all ran smoothly and lots of guests commented on the beautiful venue.
