So we first viewed Culdees Castle as a bit of an in between rustic/barn style wedding but it was way more than that! It is so unique and truly unforgettable!
We met with Tracey who shared her passion of the building with us and we fell in love with her story and the story of the castle too.
Once we had booked with Tracey we had a personal service set up where we could chat and pass ideas over but really whatever the style you want and how you want your wedding is completely flexible making it such a personalised venue.
We were advised by Tracey a few local suppliers like a DJ, cake, furniture hire bar team and caterers which all of them didn’t disappoint. It was nice that they a we’re all familiar with Culdees Castle too but even if your supplier isn’t familiar Tracey offers the opportunity to get to know your suppliers beforehand inviting them to visit and get to know the team.
On the day I couldn’t fault Tracey and her team they were absolutely phenomenal, providing an outstanding service where absolutely everybody was looked after nothing was a problem. Our baby fell asleep before the wedding ceremony and she was so well looked after by the team. Unfortunately the weather was torrential rain and storms but it didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits and the pavilion was great and kept us all dry and warm.
We had a wedding that was different, it was fun, relaxed and it was exactly what we wanted and more. Tracey and her team are experts at running weddings and know exactly what they are doing to make things run smoothly.
I can’t wait to see all of our final photographs - another thing Tracey managed to do on the day for us was to take lots of candid shots so we have them all to look at whilst we wait for our photographer which was a lovely touch.
Honestly I loved our wedding and our venue we wouldn’t have chosen another one which was perfect and everything we ever wanted

We fell in love with this place when we first stayed in the glamping pods back in 2024, so when it came to planning our wedding it immediately came to mind. Tracey was fantastic the whole way through, with multiple meetings in the lead up, lists of supplier recommendations, tons of decorations on hand for us to use, and helping organise the schedule in the background between the suppliers so we didn't have anything to worry about on the final day.
And what a day it was. It couldn't have been more perfect (Tracey even managed to persuade the sky to stay blue and clear between the rain and storm the day before and after). All our guests commented on the venue, with many questions about the renovations going on. The whole team were fantastic the whole way through, with nothing being too much trouble. Not just a wedding venue!
We couldn’t have imagined a more magical place to celebrate our wedding than Culdees Castle Estate. From the moment we first visited, we were completely enchanted by the stunning grounds and the serene beauty of the chapel — it was love at first sight. The estate has a timeless charm that made our day feel like a fairytale.
Tracey, Rob, and the entire team were nothing short of phenomenal. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made the entire experience seamless and joyful. Tracey was especially incredible — her support in the months leading up to the wedding was invaluable, and the day before the wedding she was right there helping us set up, making sure everything was perfect.
The pavilion was the ideal space for both our meal and the evening party. It was beautifully set up, spacious, and had the perfect atmosphere for celebrating with our loved ones. Every moment felt special, and the flow of the day was flawless thanks to the team’s hard work and care.
One of the most meaningful aspects of choosing Culdees Castle Estate was knowing that our wedding contributed to the ongoing renovation of this historic gem. It feels wonderful to be part of its story and to support the restoration of such a unique and beautiful place.
We are so grateful to everyone at Culdees for making our wedding unforgettable. If you’re looking for a venue that combines elegance, heart, and history — this is it. -

Tracey, Rob and the whole team are absolutely fantastic and couldn't have been more helpful to make our day go smoothly. We had a fantastic time staying in the beautiful glamping pods over the weekend and celebrating with friends and family in the stunning castle and pavilion, which was expertly decorated by Tracey. Thank you so much to the whole team for making our day so perfect! We can't wait to come back and see how the castle renovations turn out! -

Our Wedding
Tracey and the team at Culdees helped us to have a very special day for our family wedding in a lovely setting despite very challenging circumstances that were thrown up due to a storm which took place the day before.
They were very attentive and went above and beyond to make sure we got everything out of our day that we wanted.
Culdees Castle Estate is a very scenic, relaxed environment to get married in and we would highly recommend it to anyone thinking about considering it as their venue for their big day.Culdees Castle Estate's reply:

Tracey has worked above and beyond to create a magical and memorable day for us.
From start to finish she did absolutely everything for us and thought of every single possible detail so we would have a stress free wedding day
Tracey and her mum Kath were our witnesses for our elopment wedding and took such great care of us on the day with a wonderful shiny aura.
We had a stressfree absolutely perfect wedding day and we would change nothing about it !

Magical Venue and Team
With culdees, you're not just booking a wedding venue. You're booking a fantastic team that works behind the scenes, going above and a beyond, you're booking fairy-tale decorations, and you're contributing to the restauration of a Scottish castle. For us, Culdees was a clear first choice after our visit, both for price value and for their beautiful locations. Tracey and Rob were amazing from the start of the planning process, helping us get organised with lots of recommendations and help, but also were always open to new ideas we wanted to try! They were very communicative and proactive with us and vendors, and so many guests commented on their amazing work during the day. We also really appreciated their warm, welcoming nature and flexibility when our plans changed. It felt like a collaboration with friends with no pressure. We honestly couldn't have chosen a better place to celebrate our special day with our loved ones. We'd wholeheartedly recommend Culdees Castle as a venue, and will be back in the future.Culdees Castle Estate's reply:

The most magical wedding
We had our wedding on the 21st of June 2025 and it was the most magical day ever. From the moment we drove up to the entrance I knew this had to be the venue for our wedding. Every area,
:chapel, bar, pavilion, courtyard, outdoor areas and bathrooms were finished to such a high standard and quality. The venue is so versatile and can be adapted to everyone’s vision and dream wedding. All our guest spoke about how amazing, beautiful and unique it was. Having access to the venue to set up the day before and then having all the lodges the night before allowed us to have close family to have a celebration the day before. Additionally having time to have a breakfast the next day finished off the wedding weekend amazingly. This allowed us to have a full weekend celebration.
We don’t know how we could have had as such a successful wedding without the help and support from Tracey and Rob. From the very first meeting they both made us feel so welcome and relaxed. Throughout the process they kept us on track on our side, suggested and organised vendors and updated us about further renovations. On the day the whole team were extraordinary, they helped set up the venue, steamed our dresses, organised and helped all our guests and kept everything on track. Our friends and family still discuss how amazing the team are. Nothing was a hassle and our day ran smoothly from start to finish thanks to them and allowed us to be completely stress free and fully enjoy our day.
Culdees Castle was our dream venue and the team made it a reality. We are sad it is over, but thanks to Tracey and Rob, we know we are welcome back anytime.

From the moment we met Tracey on our first visit to Culdees Castle 2 years ago, we knew instantly we had hit the jackpot. Both Tracey and Rob’s vision, hard work and passion for what they do shines from every corner and we felt the whole place had that magic we were after. Right away, Tracey tuned into our dream for our day and offered such valuable advice, ideas and even suggested suppliers that she felt fitted who we were and what we wanted. We found the right place with the right team and booked it straight away.
To say that the whole Culdees Castle team went above and beyond for our day does not even cover it. They are all just amazing. From building and painting benches for our outdoor ceremony dream, steaming dresses, floofing pom-poms, helping set up the day before, chauffeuring guests around in the golf buggy, coordinating with suppliers and then keeping everything running so smoothly and on time. I could really right page after page as they were a godsend. To be able to relax and enjoy your day knowing everything is in the safest, most caring and professional hands is priceless.
Everyone of our guests was blown away by the venue and the grounds. They felt well looked after and loved the whole day so much so they can’t stop talking about it. We also loved staying in the lodges on site, it made everything so much more calm that we were just there no rushing around trying to get places in the morning. They were so comfy and lovely to relax in the night before and then after the celebrations it just added something special to the whole experience.
We are sad it is over. We really couldn’t have envisioned a more weekend and it for sure wouldn’t have been what it was without the whole Culdees Castle family and all their exceptional work and support. 5 stars are not enough!
