Situated in West London, Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery is a charming wedding and event venue. It was once the home of renowned architect Sir John Soane. Built in the early 19th century as Soane's dream country house, Pitzhanger has preserved its original elegance and now welcomes visitors as an art gallery and event space in this unique city venue with a country-like charm.

Facilities and Capacity

Pitzhanger Manor and Gallery boasts a variety of stunning spaces for ceremonies, receptions, and wedding breakfasts. The Upper Drawing Room features hardwood floors, a statement white fireplace, a grand staircase, and hand-painted Chinese wallpaper, which are ideal for morning preparations or intimate ceremonies. The Georgian Eating Room, adorned with Roman-inspired columns, large windows, marble statues, and baby blue wallpaper, is perfect for cocktail hours or small ceremonies. The Colonnade, with its vine-climbing walls and white pillars, offers a unique outdoor setting for ceremonies or receptions. Guests can enjoy a delightful open-air reception at Soane's Kitchen, an outdoor marquee with lush gardens, breezy drapery, and fairy lights. Each room has a unique capacity, with most accommodating up to 90 guests, while the Colonnade and Upper Drawing Room are perfect for micro weddings, seating 25 and 44 guests, respectively.

Our wedding at Pitzhanger was just perfect

We had the best day of our lives getting married at Pitzhanger and would recommend it to anyone!

The venue is so beautiful, the perfect mix of John Soane's quirky interior decor and the house's traditional features, with modern touches such as a Julian Opie art installation outside and the contemporary architecture of Soane's Kitchen (the reception room). We chose it because we loved how trendy and interesting the whole place is and it didn't disappoint!

Zoe and her team were so nice, and also amazing at answering our queries and being incredibly responsive and flexible in the whole year leading up to the event, from the day we first enquired to the night before. On the day they went above and beyond to make sure everything flowed smoothly and worked perfectly.

Our guests loved Pitzhanger and we just wish we could do the whole day there all over again.

Wonderful Wonderful Wonderful

We had the most wonderful time at Pitzhanger. We did not use the main Manor space, only the Soanes Kitchen Room and Walled Garden. For 100 people it was absolutely perfect.
We used the garden for the ceremony in the daytime and sat inside in long tables for dinner which then seamlessly turned into a dance floor by night. Zoe and Jess were incredibly helpful throughout, along with our lovely caterers at Roots and Berries- the event ran so smoothly, I didn’t worry once.
We were extremely lucky with the weather, everyone commented how the venue felt like a beautiful villa in Italy on the day.
It is a DIY venue so you do have to organise your catering, tables etc, any flowers, music and logistics yourself but if your willing to take the punt and put in that time you can make this space very special. It doesn’t need much as the garden is already so beautiful.
Only thing is if it does rain - you only have the one space unless you book the manor…. That could be tricky for a large wedding if it rained, or you need to plan ahead and book gazebos etc as this is not included.
Overall, we have no regrets about choosing Pitzhanger as our wedding venue. It was beyond what we could have hoped for in the end.

Absolutely Perfect

Honestly cannot explain how perfect our wedding day went with the Pitshanger Manor team. The venue itself is stunning. We got married in the Upper Drawing Room and moved to Soane's garden room for our Reception. The team in Pitshanger were fantastic from the very first meeting their knowledge and dedication to helping us achieve our dream wedding was incredible. They helped us find caterers and helped us with a lot of the planning of the day. Jess and Zoe were perfect responding to our emails incredibly quickly. All of the staff on the day were phenomenal the whole day was beyond perfect. We both feel incredibly lucky to have found Pitshanger Manor for our wedding and cannot recommend it highly enough. Absolutely everything was perfect. Thank you so much everyone at Pitshanger Manor

A gorgeous venue!

Pitzhanger Manor is so beautiful! The rooms need very little decoration, just some beautiful flowers. The staff were so helpful and the spaces are really affordable for the quality you get. We had the Georgian Eating Room and the Garden Room.

Perfect day

We are so happy that we chose Pitzhanger Manor for our wedding. It's beautiful inside and out. Ours was a small wedding, 20 guests, and the upper drawing was perfect for this number. Zoe and her team could not have been more helpful and easy to communicate with. They gave us the beginning of a wonderful day.

A perfect wedding location for a perfect day.....

We had a small family wedding for 14 guests in the Conservatory and then a champagne reception in the adjoining rooms.
The venue is a beautiful historic building that makes for a wonderful setting. However, Zoe Tue and her team really make the difference. Every detail had been considered and everything was as we had hoped, but much more, with some nice additional touches.
More importantly, the team are so friendly, yet professional throughout. It was great to be able to have informal chats with some of them, who were evidently enjoying sharing in our moment.
A perfect location and team for any wedding!

Perfect Venue

We got married here on 30th November 2024. A ceremony of about 70 people in the Georgian Eating Room, a champagne reception in Soanes drawing room and conservatory then dinner next door in Soanes Garden Room. It was the perfect day, managed impeccably by Pitzhanger’s Zoe Tue. We couldn’t have wished for a more special, breathtaking venue coupled with a first class, professional service from Pitzhanger. It’s the most beautiful place for photos (even on a dreary November day) and the garden room comes at a very high spec. Would thoroughly recommend

We want to relive our wedding all over again!

We decided to have a small (14 guests) intimate wedding in the upper drawing room at Pitzhanger Manor in September 2024. We used to live in Ealing for a number of years so chose Pitzhanger as a way to share our special place with our closest family members.

The house is absolutely superb and is the perfect venue for a hybrid between city and traditional.

Zoe and her wider team are friendly, professional and are always responsive. We cannot thank them enough for their help planning our perfect day.

I know everyone says this but genuinely our wedding day was the best day of our lives and we just want to relive it again and again!
