Management abused our trust
We booked my sisters indian wedding here in the year 2012. We discussed and agreed with the management at that time that we would supply the soft drinks (coca cola + orange juice) and their staff would place one bottle of coke on each table and the orange juice would be placed in their jugs (again one on each table). We also purchased expensive glass bottled water (2 for each table). Upon arriving at the reception party, the staff had opened the expensive bottled water and put the water into jugs and the orange juice was also placed on the table, in jugs. They threw away the glass bottles and not one bottle of coke had been placed on the table.

Now bear in mind this was an indian wedding and we had purchased crates upon crates of coca cola so that each table could be topped up with more bottles of coke as the night went on.
We had dropped off all the soft drinks and water the night before but not one coke bottle was in sight.
We were told by a relative a few days later that he had seen numerous members of staff from the hotel taking crates of coca cola from the reception area up to the main building where the bar was located.
I believe the management at this venue onthe day of the wedding had abused our trust and had basically stolen the majority of the coke bottles.
I was so upset as my family had paid alot of money for the wedding where there were about 250 guests.

Perfect setting & beautiful reception rooms
I held my wedding day here in September 2004. The surroundings are gorgeous and I fell in love with the Laureate reception room which is a period, elegant dining room with beautiful views across the lawns. In the evening, the private nightclub was the best setting we could have hoped for our party! The service was faultless on the day and all the staff were so accommodating, however I think getting married on a Friday gave us the full attention of staff and the hotel seemed exclusive to us, which was perfect. The only negative comment was the lack of attention given to us in the planning stage, but the actual day & evening went without a hitch. We had endless compliments on the quality of the food (except for our vegan guests who didn't have much to eat at the buffet) Only other thing to watch is the price of drinks!!

Beautiful grounds, lovely rooms and a great place to marry.
We married here in August 2004 and it was fantastic. The whole day was so well organised and the majority of the staff were really helpful. The grounds really are stunning and our photographs look lovely with all the greenery and established trees in the background. I was concerned about the venue as I knew there was another reception going on, but I didn't bump into the other bride which was a relief! The staff were good about keeping us away from the other wedding. We held the reception in the new building and it was absolutely lovely. The food was good and the way the room was set up was just perfect. The evening reception with the in-house dj was cheesy but great fun. I have been to several other weddings and, although I realise I'm biased (it being my wedding day!), Kilhey Court is the prettiest and best venue I've been to. I'd definitely recommend getting married here - my day simply could not have been any better.
