Hunters Hall is a dedicated wedding venue located on the outskirts of the village Swanton Morley, just 4 miles from the market town of Dereham, and less than 20 miles from Norwich, Norfolk, UK.
From your initial enquiry and throughout your wedding, we will help you with every detail, ensuring your celebrations run smoothly.
We offer 3 beautiful function spaces for your whole day with us:
1. The Park Room - which has plenty of natural light and offers views over the meadow. It is perfect for intimate ceremonies for up to 70 guests.
2. The Victorian Barn - a beautiful barn with exposed oak beams and brickwork, allows you to exchange vows in front of up to 140 guests. Alternatively enjoy your wedding breakfast in here for up to 70 guests. Finally, why not dance the night away in the evening with up to 140 guests.
3. The Starlit Barn - perfect for larger celebrations, seating up to 140 guests for your wedding breakfast and up to 350 guests for your evening celebrations.
All 3 of the function rooms are interconnecting, allowing you to seamlessly move throughout your day.
We have 11 ensuite bedrooms for your family and friends, and serve a tasty Farmhouse breakfast the following morning.
We have large grounds which are perfect for drinks, canapés and wedding photos, as well as complimentary onsite car-parking for all guests.
What makes us different?
* We are an all inclusive venue - we offer as much inhouse as we can including all the catering, a fully stocked bar and a full team of bar and waiting staff.
* In the lead up to your wedding we will organise several 1:1 meetings with you both, and provide guidance from your first enquiry right up to your wedding day.
* We set up the venue for you including all the chairs, tables, linen, cutlery and crockery needed for your wedding. We will also add all your own personal touches to the venue.
* We will be by your side on your wedding day, as both a Wedding Coordinator and Master of Ceremonies* We will manage all the clear down after your wedding day.
* We really care - every member of our team loves their role at Hunters Hall. During covid a guest emailed after attending a wedding with us to say how smiley the team were. Everyone was wearing a mask and yet still the guest could see their positivity!
Our aim is that when you arrive at Hunters Hall, you can relax and enjoy your special day with us.

The Best Wedding Venue in Norfolk
From the get go when we first viewed the venue to our wedding day, we were welcomed with such warmth and guided with such a wealth of knowledge it was amazing.
They made our wedding day perfect & anyone considering booking them, should not hesitate. The attention to detail, facilities, price and overall features will
not be beaten.
All our guests were raving about the venue, the decor, the food and the staff all day….

Absolute perfection
Not only is the venue absolutely stunning in every possible, the staff are so incredibly helpful. On the lead up to the wedding they did everything within their power to accommodate any of my requests. They were kind, attentive, thoughtful, helpful and the day wouldn’t have been as smooth as it was if we hadn’t have had them on hand to deal with things.
The food was delicious - all our guests raved about the food. I’ve never tasted such good chicken as we had for our main course! They accommodated any and all food allergies wonderfully. And also looked after my husband who is extremely picky when it comes to food!
They were there to deal with any issues - so much so that I had absolutely no stress on my wedding day at all. Or the night before. It was a perfect weekend and I can’t thank Hunters Hall enough.

Matthew and Jenny who ensure your day is as perfect as it can be, Lou who helps with all your pre wedding panic and is always at the end of the phone for anything, Shirley who genuinely needs a pair of wings, she is a fairy godmother and makes everything and everyone sparkle!
Keith who ensured every nut product was removed from the kitchen and even made us little nut free biscuits for our room.
If we could do it all over again we would and we’d chose this venue repeatedly. We will continue to find reasons to come back.

Meet the team
Hello! We’re Matthew and Jenny Stevenson and here’s a little bit about us:
1. We will be celebrating our 16 year wedding anniversary in August 2026 🥂
2. We have been running Hunters Hall together for 11 years
3. Jenny is generally more office based, whereas Matthew oversees the whole venue, but particularly enjoys seeing the happy couple’s wedding ideas come together on their special day.
4. Matthew has a great eye for detail and instigates many of the design choices during our various venue refurbishments.
5. Jenny is regularly seen with her camera capturing details big and small around the venue. Jenny regularly forgets where she puts down her camera after taking said photos…

Lou is our fantastic Wedding Coordinator in the office at Hunters Hall and will probably be your first point of contact with us.
Lou responds to all emails and calls, arranges all meetings and answers all questions, however big or small.
After you have booked and had various planning meetings with us, Lou will process all your documents so the rest of the team know the plans for your day.
Lou's favourite part of Hunters Hall is meeting couples for their interim appointment and finding out about their special day.
Our smiley Shirley is integral to setting up your wedding at Hunters Hall. She ensures the venue is clean and tidy before moving tables and chairs into place and arranging them to your requirements.
Shirley thoroughly enjoys seeing couples a week before their wedding when they drop off all their decorations, after which she adds their decorations to the venue to make it truly theirs.
Shirley can also been found on wedding days looking after the bride and guests before the ceremony, and coordinating the cake and flowers drop off in the morning too.
Shirley always has a smile on her face and thoroughly enjoys her role here at Hunters Hall.
