Charlie & Sarah of Homme House are extremely welcoming and make you feel like you can do anything you want (within reason!) at their family home. You receive a warm and personal touch by getting married here, which I don’t feel like you would get from any hotel or bigger chain. They also helped tremendously with our wedding preparations to make sure we were on the right track.

The location, gardens and house itself is just stunning and a perfect amount of rooms inside. The house allows for peace and quiet in the beautiful library, an excellent space for a dance floor and a room big enough for the wedding breakfast and evening food.

We would highly recommend for anyone looking for excellent communication and a beautiful rural wedding.

Homme house was the first and last venue we visited! We booked it as soon as we had looked round.
Charlie and Sarah do an amazing job of helping ensure you have the perfect day.
There are a number of areas where you can be married. This includes a church at the end of the drive, outdoors at the Summerhouse and indoors.
They have a list of suppliers for everything you'll need including caterers, bar, photographers, musicians, florists etc. You can also choose your own suppliers.
Sarah and Charlie talk you through all your details so that everything is personalised.

We wanted a relaxed and laid back wedding and it was more than we could have hoped for.
We were married outdoors at the Summerhouse on 12th August 2025.....the hottest day of the year!
We had a string quartet for the ceremony and then had canapés and pimms on the lawn. There are seats all around the gardens for the guests to relax and enjoy the views.
We then had our wedding breakfast. After this as it was so hot, we'd encouraged guests to change into shorts and summer clothing! Our guests then enjoyed boules and other games on the lawn and others wandered round the beautiful gardens.
In the evening we had a hog roast and BBQ and a band. To finish the night, we sat around firepits drinking and reminiscing.
Our guests were very impressed with the venue. Many of our guests stayed overnight at Homme. There are rooms within the house and in the attached coach house. The next morning, all those who stayed overnight met up for breakfast.
We could not have chosen a more perfect venue for our special day.

We had the most wonderful time having Homme House as our wedding venue. We have visited 8 venues in total in search for the perfect location and we knew as soon as we drove into the venue this was the one. The venue is set in the most beautiful and stunning location with acres of parkland and gardens. The venue is perfect for bride and groom who wants to organise their special day without the constraint of only choosing from the recommended supplier list. The venue is like a blank canvas except for the fact that you can have complete trust and help from the owners, Charlie and Sarah.

From our very first visit in April 2024 to when we finally tied the knot at Homme House in August 2025, the communication and organisation from Charlie and Sarah from the venue has been amazing. They are attentive to detail and will help you along the way to plan your most perfect day.

As well as the beautiful venue, what we really loved was the fact that you can borrow the venue for the entire weekend as standard. This allowed us to have private caterers come on Friday night and enjoy a family dinner before the wedding on Saturday. Our parents and family loved looking around the grounds on Friday and Sunday during the day and enjoyed the walk around.

We also loved the fact that the venue was sustainable and committed to giving back to the environment and conservation. And the ethical approach in paying per head for the room rather than the whole room itself. And the fact that you could pay for however much room you needed rather having to pay for the entire rooms in the venue (although we did as we had many guests who wanted to stay with us!).

We were never rushed and could enjoy getting ready leisurely on Saturday and had the most fantastic time celebrating. The venue has both indoor and outdoor ceremony option so it's well equipped for the unpredictable UK weather. Although we were very blessed with the best weather and guests were able to enjoy the garden games!

Overall, it's a venue which cannot be faulted and would recommend it to anyone.

Myself and my husband James recently got married at our dream location, the stunning Homme House! I will try my best to summarise what a wonderful heartfelt and touching day this was for so many.

To start, we first came upon HH a few years ago when beginning to research wedding venues but Homme House immediately captured our hearts, and it was evident from our very first meeting that it was the only place we could see ourselves getting married. Not only is the house full of charm and character and surrounded by the most gorgeous grounds, but this truly magical place is steeped in history and is run and looked after by an amazing couple, Charlie and Sarah.

It is evident that Charlie and Sarah put their hearts and souls into the house (down to each reupholstered chair) and go above and beyond and ensure each guest has the best experience.

Our day was no exception! Throughout the whole process Charlie and Sarah were responsive, communicative, and full of great guidance and advice with years of experience to lean on. This ensured that everything ran smoothly. The planning up to the day was very organised and they really knew the right questions to ask to get us thinking about what we really wanted on our day. This process really ensured that we looked at the day from every angle and I honestly feel that there was nothing else that could be added.

We had the entire house and grounds from the day before the wedding (Friday) to midday on the day after (Sunday). Charlie and Sarah were on hand the help on the day before for the set up and throughout the day in the background - I am sure they did way more than I really know, but everything was seamless. They met suppliers in advance, allowed us to come back for multiple visits through the years leading up (as we live in London) and cooked and amazing breakfast for the day after - appreciated by all guest staying at the house.

Every room was immaculate, well presented, and comfortable. Our guests that stayed in the house and coach house were blown away by the space, the light the character and all of the little details that have been implemented over the years! They said they had a wonderful stay - many wishing they could have stayed longer. The accommodation allowed for both immediate families and all our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and their spouses to stay for two nights which led to a unified and loving weekend away where everyone got to mingle and relish in the excitement of a wedding weekend. The stunning gardens and grounds are so expansive and beautiful that our friends could go off in their own couples and spend some quality time together as well as get together with others in the library or coach house and catch up. We wish we could relive this weekend over and over.

Finally, we wish to thank Charlie and Sarah for everything they did to help us and all their hard work throughout the whole process. Their humility, kindness and care could only be matched by their own efforts and dedication to keeping Homme House the truly special place it is! It really was the best day of our lives so far!

Words cannot begin to say how fortunate we were to have found Homme House and Charlie and Sarah. They helped our plan our wedding day with calm and friendly professionalism that set the tone for everything with experienced before and on the day. As soon as we first visited we were blown away by the house and grounds. Every detail has been thought about and executed to the highest of standards. Other than Homme House's stunning location it also provides a situation where you can really create your own uniquely perfect day. There are numerous locations that can be used for various parts of your day. You feel as though you get multiple wedding venues in one!

As well as all the above the main praise is for Charlie and Sarah. They were incredible from start to finish, always helpful, professional and kind they guided us perfectly through the whole process, enabling us to benefit from their years of experience. Providing regular meetings, an extensive online resource website and always super responsive to any queries (no matter how silly). But most importantly they really allowed us control over our day and made us (and our families) feel at home in Homme. On the day, Charlie and Sarah made sure everything ran smoothly without us even noticing them doing so. We could just relax and enjoy ourselves, knowing they had it all covered.

We got married at Homme House this spring, and we are still floating somewhere between “just married” bliss and disbelief that such a magical place actually exists in real life. From the moment we arrived for our first viewing, we knew we’d found somewhere special.

Where do we begin? These two are the heart and soul of Homme House. They’re not just the proprietors; they’re wedding whisperers. Their hands-on approach from day one made the planning process feel less like logistics and more like creating something truly meaningful. Charlie has the calm, measured energy of someone who has seen every kind of wedding scenario and handled it with grace. Sarah, meanwhile, is a quiet powerhouse of organisation and warmth. Together, they made us feel like our day was as important to them as it was to us — which, frankly, is a rare and wonderful thing.

On the actual wedding day everything went smoothly and flowed, we didn’t feel like we were hosting and were able to relax and enjoy the whole day. This was all down to their organisation and support Charlie and Sarah gave us. They balanced being there exactly when we needed them, alongside giving us the space that made us feel like the house was ours to enjoy.

Every corner is a photo opportunity (and yes, we did take photos in every corner). From the dramatic staircase to the walled garden, to the light-filled drawing rooms and the wildflower-dotted grounds — it’s a venue with real character, not a “wedding factory.” It somehow manages to be grand and welcoming at the same time.

Accommodation-wise, we struck gold. The main wedding party (~30) stayed on site in rooms that were both elegant and super comfortable. For everyone else, there was no shortage of lovely places to stay nearby — rare for such a secluded countryside spot.

 After the happy tears, and several rounds of questionable dancing, waking up to a delicious cooked breakfast on Sunday was the perfect ending. Sitting around the table with our nearest and dearest, reliving moments from the day before over eggs and butchers sausages, felt like a little bonus celebration.

There’s also something really beautiful about the fact that Homme House is Charlie and Sarah’s family home. You feel it in the details, in the warmth, and in the way everything is so thoughtfully cared for. This isn’t just a venue—it’s a legacy of love and hospitality, and we felt incredibly lucky to be a part of it.

What you’ve really been waiting for, a word on pricing: Homme is not the cheapest. However, given the level of care, flexibility, and just outright loveliness we experienced, we’d say it was one of the best decisions we made. No hidden charges, no ridiculous minimum spends — just honest, top-tier service from people who genuinely love what they do.

We had the privilege of getting married at Homme House in May 2025. From start to finish Charlie and Sarah were the perfect hosts - from the incredibly helpful information packs, to the consistently great communication, to helping us on the actual day itself they helped make our day so special. The venue is their home, and the fact they welcomed us and our guests so personally and warmly is testament to them as individuals. The venue is just stunning. The bride stayed in the most glorious bridal suite the night before with her bridesmaids, and we used the coach house for our nearest and dearest the night of the venue. Myself and my bride also stayed in the summerhouse that night, and to wake up the following morning to see where we got married was pure bliss. Each of the accomodation options are full of character and equally beautiful. But the most magic was the gardens - we were lucky to have sunshine for our ceremony outdoors, and the fact that everyone could take in the beautiful gardens, play football or make more confetti with the flowers from the gardens, meant everyone had an extra special little something for their time as our guests. I could not be more grateful we chose this as our wedding venue!

Homme House was the perfect venue for our wedding in April 2025. The home is regal and the grounds picturesque. Words really cannot do it justice! Charlie and Sarah were unbelievably organised during the lead-up to our wedding and their meticulous attention to detail ensured that the day ran smoothly.
The bedrooms in both the main house and neighbouring coach house are beautiful, spacious & well equipped, with ample bathrooms and lots of en-suite rooms. The continental breakfast provided to overnight guests on the wedding day morning was great and the cooked breakfast the morning after the wedding was delicious (the Homme House apple juice was a particular highlight)!
The grounds truly are a sight to behold! The summer house and walled garden provided the perfect photo-spots and we spent time during sunset capturing some brilliant pictures with the photographer.
The perfectly manicured lawn provided the ideal setting for our drinks reception and the lawn games were a hit with our younger guests!
We were also able to provide our own alcohol (with no corkage), for which there was ample storage close to the kitchen, making it easy for bar staff to top up the bar. This enabled us to provide a free bar to our guests, which made the day extra special.
Overall, Homme House was an absolutely perfect venue for our wedding. We genuinely couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else and would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere to celebrate their special day.

We fell in love with Homme instantly during our first visit, and did not hesitate to make our booking later that evening. The house and grounds are absolutely beautiful, very well maintained, and full of history, character and wildlife. Homme is an incredible family home, not a corporate wedding venue, and this really shone through in every aspect.

We were warned by friends and family how stressful planning and organising a wedding is, but we were both delighted and shocked with how smooth and 'easy' everything seemed to be, from start to finish. This is very much down to Charlie and Sarah! We cannot give enough praise and thanks for your help, organisation, positivity, and wisdom. We found that nearly every detail we could think of had already been thought of and answered in your online resources, and where we did occasionally have questions, we would email them over and receive thoughtful and quick responses. We were completely at ease both during the build up and over our wedding weekend knowing that we were in safe hands, and are very grateful for all your work behind the scenes over the weekend to help things run absolutely perfectly.

There is so much more we could say, much more than we could fit into a short review - but Homme House is an incredibly special house, and has a very special place in our hearts. We are honoured to now be a very small part of its history, and cannot wait to visit again in the future - hopefully for a stay in the summerhouse to celebrate our first anniversary!

Our wedding day was even better than we could have imagined and so many of our guests commented on what an amazing venue it is. We also loved the fact that our nearest and dearest could stay at the venue and on the night before the wedding we hosted a BBQ, meaning we could spend more time with our guests before the big day.
