We had our wedding reception at the Forest Centre and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The team were absolutely brilliant from start to finish and helped make our special day so enjoyable.

The fish and chips were delicious and everyone really enjoyed the food. Our guests loved having the outdoor space to enjoy, and there was plenty of room inside too, which was perfect for everyone to relax and have a good time. The disco was fantastic and really got everyone up dancing!

The drinks were also very reasonably priced, which was a lovely bonus. We had so many compliments from our guests and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.

When we first started looking at venues for our same sex wedding we knew we wanted something out doorsy but also inside in case the great British weather decided to rain, we also wanted somewhere that we didn't feel judged or discriminated against in any way shape or form, anyway, we found that here at the forest centre/forest of Marston Vale. This venue was exactly what we wanted, cool, calm and nature loving with a side plate of sophistication.
We spent our whole wedding here, from the ceremony to the wedding breakfast and then to the party. The wedding coordinator Helen was amazing from start to finish! She was kind and professional but also helped us get what we wanted from our budget, which is better than any other venue and coordinator we had spoken to. Between Helen and Tracey (who also looked after us) we didn't want for anything. Nothing was too much trouble, even when we contacted Helen the day before to ask last minute questions and swap a few things around. The food was gorgeous, I highly recommend the BBQ with the meat coming from the local butchers, and the desserts were to die for! We got some of the best photos 📸 thanks to our photographer Tommy James photography, see the photos I've attached. You may think it just looks like a cafe when you go there in the day but when it gets transformed at night you won't be disappointed. The DJ was good although because of the heat alot of people didn’t dance so in hind sight I may have changed that for a band or something else but as always you can't predict the English weather. We had the best day and would love to do it all over again every weekend if we could! Definitely made the right venue choice. I cannot put into words how much of a phenomenal experience we had planning and holding our wedding at The Forest Centre. For such a reasonable, affordable price, supporting an exceptional cause, we had the absolute fairytale wedding of our dreams.
Helen, Tracey, and the rest of the team are absolutely world-class, and we can’t thank them enough for making our day so incredibly memorable. Helen was an absolute dream to plan with - so responsive, so accommodating to any and all personalisation touches we wanted to add to the day, and we always felt like we were in the most calm and capable hands. Nothing was ever too much for her. All our guests could not stop saying what a beautiful venue it was, how wonderful the food was (most of our guests are not vegan and were therefore sceptical of a fully vegan menu, but were utterly blown away by the quality of the pizza van Helen managed to score us - absolutely gorgeous!), how great the team were all day, how well-paced everything was, and generally what an amazing day they had.
Helen is such an incredibly special lady, and the Forest Centre is so very lucky to have her. We will never forget everything you did for us, Helen - thank you for making our day just perfect.

We were on a tight budget, but still wanted a venue that would give us an amazing day. From the moment we sat down with the wedding coordinator ( Helen) we knew this was the place for us. Nothing was pushed onto us. We were able to talk through what we wanted, suggestions were made that made sense and we felt at ease saying yes or no to them. There are lots of different add on's if wanted, but we chose a simple twilight wedding with buffet. Again we were able to change items of the menu to what suited us too, and didn't have to cater for all guests as was reassured there would be enough food( which there was...and top notch too). We were put at ease that if there wasn't enough they would simply do more!
Everything was explained clearly...pricing is excellent compared to other places, and what sits well with us that any profit goes back into the forest centre to plant trees etc.
We could set up the room how we wanted, obviously keeping there health and safety policy in mind, they provided flowers for the ceremony room, and had a beautiful rustic arch( at an extra cost) which set off the room beautifully. Helen just needed to know how we wanted the table setting up, which songs to play etc and then we were told to leave it up to her. She wasn't wrong!
When the day came...well there was absolutely nothing to worry about...another staff member Tracey, who was a little Ray of sunshine was there to help, and everything went so smoothly...all members of staff, from the catering, behind bar and night security were polite, worked their butt's off and made our day truly amazing. Bar had plenty of choice and I was told( obviously as I didn't buy my own drink) that it was well priced too.
This venue is beautiful, with plenty of scenic photo opportunities, countryside setting and plenty of parking too. The building has always been clean ( each time we visited I've never had a complaint) and the grounds are well maintained, with wildlife preservation at the heart of it. Lovely areas for little ones to run around in too, plenty of seating area inside and out.
I'm actually gutted it's all over, I'll miss popping in to see Helen and she always offered drinks etc and didn't have to pay for parking which including anyone that we wanted to show around the venue too.
So if you are thinking about having a beautiful scenic wedding venue, that's brilliant on budget, super friendly and top notch...then go and have a look, coz I am sure you'll fall in love with it too ❤️

We had such a wonderful evening,everything was perfect! We were able to go day before and do our decorating and Helen was wonderful from the first time we met her and with all communication up to the day. She made sure everything went as planned…she was truly a gem. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed themselves. There was tons of room and we got lots of beautiful pictures. We look forward to returning on our anniversary next year!!

Helen and the team made the day perfect. Helen booked a time that suited us to show us around the venue and from that moment we both knew it was the right place for us. Helen was very responsive to every contact, whether email, phone or in person (I had many panic moments about arranging things which were quickly resolved!) putting my mind at ease and working around our budget perfectly, with so many options. I never felt pressured at any point, which we often found just looking around other venues. We were walked through every stage, leading to the perfect day, which ran so smoothly. The whole team worked so hard, lots of my guests commented on how lovely the staff were. Really can’t recommend this venue enough, it has everything you need for the perfect day and is picture perfect too.

Having had our wedding cancelled twice due to COVID we decided to do things a little different. Helen was amazing at sorting everything we wanted and taking the stress away to make it as easy as possible. She kept us updated all the way through and helped make it seamless. The day itself couldn’t have gone better. We had a fantastic time and all our guests enjoyed it. We opted for a hog roast with canapés and the food was delicious. The bar staff helped our guests enjoy their drinks and joined us to celebrate aswell. Thanks for making our day so special

From booking in with Helen, to all of the kind and considerate people who were in on the fact this was indeed a secret wedding - they were all fantastic, friendly, and a pleasure.
They kept up the pretence of it being a birthday and engagement party, and were a constant presence through the day without being overbearing.
The weather was AWFUL, but it didn’t matter! Plenty of room inside for dancing and eating. Hog roast was also amazing. It was an absolute pleasure, and we had the BEST time - highly recommend

While planning the wedding I was residing abroad making communication and planning difficult, however, Helen made every effort to connect to me online and update me about the choices and procedures before the big day. We did manage to go and see the venue beforehand which helped us make decisions about which rooms to decorate and how to decorate them. The staff were very professional and made sure we had everything we needed. Adjustments to the menu, dietary requirements, and alcohol choices were all available upon request. The food was delicious and the service was quick so each table started at about the same time. The DJ for the evening party was in touch via email in a timely manner, he played the requested songs and found similar songs that everybody danced all night to! Overall the day went smoothly, we were able to enjoy ourselves and staff made sure the event ran on time and we moved through the schedule seamlessly.
