Facilities and Capacity
The historic nineteenth century barn at Gorcott Hall has been reimagined for civil ceremonies, wedding breakfasts, and evening receptions, with refined accents and rustic elements setting the tone for unforgettable events. For your ceremony, you can look forward to saying "I do" in an idyllic setting that features vaulted ceilings, oak beams, exposed brick work, and romantic lighting. The barn is licensed to host up to 110 loved ones. Following your vows, guests can amble the grounds and enjoy a drinks reception in or outdoors, weather depending, while you explore the stunning five acres for photo opportunities with your love. The barn is transformed for wedding breakfasts and evening receptions, and you can party the night away in this spacious event space afterwards. The Hall is suited to more intimate gatherings of up to 70 loved ones. This elegantly appointed space can also be used for your post-ceremony drinks reception. There is accommodation onsite, including the stunning two storey honeymoon suite complete with plush interiors, antiques, and luxurious interiors. What really makes Gorcott Hall special is the people behind it. You can tell how much the owners care about the venue and the experience they create. They are always looking for ways to improve and enhance it, even though it already feels perfect.
Every single member of staff was incredible from start to finish. From getting ready in the morning, to checking in on us throughout the day, helping with my dress before I walked down the aisle, and seamlessly transforming the barn from the ceremony room to the wedding breakfast space, everything was handled so professionally. The team were warm, friendly and genuinely invested in making our day special. Even our guests commented on how fantastic the staff were. Because of them, the whole day felt completely stress-free. We didn't have to worry about a thing and were able to simply enjoy every moment, knowing everything was being taken care of. The day ran perfectly to plan, and that was entirely down to the amazing team around us.
From the day we signed our contract right through to the wedding itself, Mark and Sophie were brilliant. They were always on hand to answer our many questions, offer advice and patiently guide us through the countless decisions involved in planning a wedding. On the day itself, Mark was an exceptional MC and helped everything run smoothly, allowing us to relax and enjoy every moment.
The food was another highlight. Unlike many venues, the chef is happy to create menus around food you actually want, which makes the experience feel so personal. The tasting evening was one of our favourite parts of the planning process - it felt more like a lovely date night than a wedding task!
Every time we visited Gorcott Hall, we somehow fell in love with it a little more. And a tip for future couples: if you can, get married in May. The wisteria is absolutely stunning and makes for the most beautiful photographs.
Our wedding day was truly the best day of our lives. It felt like something out of a fairytale - magical from beginning to end. We would relive it over and over again if we could.
