Sculpted over centuries by monks and monarchs, Duke’s Yard is home to four unique buildings within the historic grounds of Ashridge House, thoughtfully restored and reimagined as a distinctive setting for modern weddings. Duke’s Yard features a landscaped courtyard leading to The Barn, The Coach House, The Stables and behind these, The Glasshouse.
Design Your Day
From a light-filled ceremony in the restored Glasshouse to drinks in the new Dukes Yard designed by Todd Longstaffe-Gowan, every space offers something truly memorable. Feast on your wedding breakfast in the re-envisioned Coach House. Dance the night away in our 14th century barn and then enjoy an afterhours nightcap in the Stables.

Your celebration includes a complimentary stay in a superior suite, a seamless dining experience with reception drinks, your wedding breakfast, wine and toast drinks, and the support of a dedicated, award‑winning Wedding Co‑ordinator. With décor essentials provided, from tables and oak chairs to linens, tableware and signage, plus complimentary gym and pool membership for three months ahead of your wedding, every detail is thoughtfully taken care of.
Feast
Food sits at the heart of celebrations at Duke’s Yard, which is delighted to partner exclusively with luxury caterer Lettice Events for weddings. Known for beautifully crafted dining experiences, Lettice offers refined catering packages, with the flexibility to tailor every detail. Choose from a two or three-course plated menu, a fire feasting experience, and evening late‑night bites, with every element designed around flavour, ease, and unforgettable moments.

Built in the 14th century, and later extended by architect James Wyatt, Duke's Yard contains Ashridge’s most storied buildings. Steeped in 700 years of regal history, it offers a truly characterful setting for unforgettable weddings. From the original wooden beams of The Barn to the tranquillity of the gardens, every corner is rich with history, creating a timeless backdrop for beginning your own story.
