They Brought Our Wedding Vision to Life
From the very beginning, Brig o' Doon House Hotel made us feel completely supported and looked after. We had multiple meetings with our wedding planner, Rebecca, throughout the planning process. From our very first visit, she showed us around both the hotel and Kirkgate House, where we stayed the night before the wedding, and helped us understand everything that was included in our wedding package and all the additional options available to us.
Rebecca was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. She was always on hand to answer any questions we had about payments, timings, suppliers or how the day would work, and we never felt like anything was too much trouble.
The team were also incredibly helpful when it came to choosing our suppliers. They recommended Jam Events for our ceremony and table decorations and Infinite Indulgence for our wedding cake, and we were so pleased with both. They also guided us through everything included in our package, from the wedding breakfast and drinks and canapés to the piper, while helping us add the extra elements that were important to us, including the ceremony room and Kirkgate House.
As the wedding got closer, we were able to send everything over to the team — our seating plan, favours, ceremony music, evening band details, photographer and videographer information, dress changes and our plans for how we wanted the day to flow. We even sent playlists for different parts of the day, along with our wedding signs, place cards, guest book and all the little details that were important to us.
The wonderful thing was that they took all of those ideas and made them work within the venue. They genuinely brought our vision to life.
On the wedding day itself, everything came together beautifully. There are so many moving parts to a wedding, but having a team who already understood our plans and knew exactly what we wanted gave us such peace of mind. We could relax and enjoy the day knowing we were in safe hands.
Kirkgate House was also the perfect place for us to stay the night before, and being able to have that space as part of our wedding experience made the whole occasion feel even more special.
We are incredibly grateful to Rebecca and the whole team at Brig o' Doon for everything they did for us, both in the months leading up to the wedding and on the day itself. Their help, organisation and willingness to accommodate all our requests made such a difference.
Brig o' Doon wasn't simply the place where we got married — it became the backdrop to our entire wedding experience, and we will always have such wonderful memories of it.
