The bars – Made for your wedding
Every bar in the collection has been designed by Josh, the founder, & custom made, combining elegant presentation with the practical demands of a busy wedding.
The range includes 4x two-metre straight bars and striking circular LED birch centrepiece bars, with flexible layouts to suit your venue, guest numbers and style. Each has the workspace and professional equipment needed to serve drinks & cocktails quickly and let those bartenders FLOW!
Whether you envisage an editorial cocktail reception on the lawn, a subtle evening bar or a centre piece bar to kick your evening reception off with a BANG, The Swordmaker has the bars to create exactly the confirguration you want.

The Swordmaker's story – Rooted in creativity and craftsmanship
The Swordmaker began with a simple idea: to bring excellent drinks craft and beautiful bars to unsuspecting, intimate and out of reach places.
The name honours the heritage of Shotley Bridge, a village made famous by a family of skilled swordmaking craftspeople known as the Swordmakers. Their craftsmanship inspired a name that connects the business to the place where it began.
The founder, Josh, discovered cocktail bartending during a gap year in Auckland, New Zealand. A creative musician with a passion for hospitality, he returned home and commissioned his first mobile bar, initially hosting intimate cocktail parties for 10 to 30 guests.
Today, The Swordmaker regularly serves weddings and events of up to 200 guests and beyond. Based in Kingston Park, Newcastle upon Tyne, it is a small independent business supported by local bartenders and mixologists with experience in venues, hospitality and events.

I love music, am passionate about creating things - Mechanics and engines & of course hospitality too. I love going to restaurants and seeing live entertainment with my partner.
I am a self employed photographer / videographer / events expert. When I'm not shooting weddings, art, live music, I work events and help set ups. I have been known to bring an unmatched energy of fun and sillyness, but most importantly, I take work super seriously when it comes down to it and I get the job DONE!
