Do I own my website?
Yep! Once we have developed your site it’s yours to do with as you please. We are happy to help you host the site or you are free to find a hosting platform yourself. We believe our rates are very competitive and it is easier for us to look after and update if it is with us.
Will our website appear on Google?
It’s up to you, we find that some people want to keep their event private and provide the web address for the chosen guests on invitations. If this is a requirement we simply block Google and other search engines from indexing the site.
Will my website be online forever?
Again this is up to you. Some people just want the website online in the build up to the event, whilst others upload photos and videos from the day to allow guests to pop back and download them when it suits them.There is a yearly cost for hosting and sometimes you may need to make updates to the site to keep it secure, which we are happy to help you with.
Will I be able to update the site myself?
We try to make all of our sites easy to use for you, and we are happy to provide a tutorial to make small updates to text and show you how to change images.Some changes may require some coding are extra work on our part. For these we change £30 an hour in 20 minute blocks, so if it’s a quick edit for us and doesn’t take more than 20 minutes it will cost £10.
I’m not in North Yorkshire but I love your work can you still help create a site for us?
Thank you and yes of course! The beauty of modern technology these days means we can have a face to face meeting using something like Skype or a Google Hangout.We always prefer to come and meet you but in a lot of cases this isn’t always possible. We are always available for phone calls, email and video chat.
Do you outsource work?
Nope! We are very fussy about our code and take a lot pride in our work. During our ten years in the industry we have seen (and fixed) many problems caused from outsourcing work to the wrong people.
