Do not book!

We cannot give 0 stars, so we will have to give 1 star. We paid just under £400 for Abbey's Content Creator service and booked her well in advance of our wedding date. Abbey sent us our content the day after the wedding, which was all good and it comprised of photos and stills, along with some short reels (approx 20 seconds long of specific parts of the day). We properly looked through the Dropbox when we came back from Honeymoon and noticed that there was no reel of the full day, which we had asked for originally and Abbey confirmed she would do. I politely messaged Abbey about this and she replied to my message saying she would do it. Over the 2 months that followed, I sent two further polite messages to check on the progress of our video and was left on unread on both occasions. I sent a third message (after 3 months had passed) to say don't bother as we had now been waiting too long. I asked questions and explained that I was unhappy as we had paid a lot of money for a service we felt we hadn't fully received, so I requested some money back to compensate for not receiving a full day reel. Abbey said she had been ill and hadn't been on her social media account. There was no apology and no reassurance that our video would still be made and Abbey has refused to refund us any money. Abbey was clearly never going to make our video and this caused me a lot of stress and upset as this was the one reason I booked a Content Creator.

During the enquiry stages, Abbey was really friendly and replied straight away to my messages, however once I'd paid, it was clear that enthusiasm dropped significantly. I struggled to organise a phone call with her to run through details as she made out she barely had any availability and then made an excuse one minute before I was due to ring, but pushed for the call and she answered. The package I purchased entitled us to two phone calls and it took a great deal of effort to achieve just one. Abbey was taking over a week to respond to simple questions over messaging, one of these was about us paying for a meal for her and to let us know of any dietary requirements, however, she never responded until I sent several prompts. We did fill out a large PDF document that Abbey sent us early on which I put my heart and soul into to ensure we got the content we desired with timings, songs to be added to reels etc. I spent a few nights completing this before sending back and I don't feel like much notice was given to my answers. One example being I wrote down a specific song to be played over a reel of my mum and I as it meant a lot to us, but Abbey just chose any tune from TikTok.

I found Abbey to not really care from the moment she arrived on the day. Abbey told my photographer that she felt ill, who then had to come tell me whilst having my hair done. This caused me worry which I did not need and in my opinion, Abbey had committed to the work and turned up so that told me she was well enough. Abbey didn't give us any direction or explanation of what to do for shots over the day, she let the photographer take the lead with it all. Abbey was also missing at certain parts of the day, due to feeling ill, so she gave her phone to a member of the bar staff who was thrown in the deep end to film the ceremony last minute. This meant we didn't get the content we hoped for. This is unacceptable and again, we have received no apology for this.

Out of all my suppliers, there was no contract to be signed and Abbey wanted paying via bank transfer, which did concern me at first, but I trusted her from my first impressions, however they changed as the day drew closer and even more so, following the wedding where she was just going to continue to ignore my messages and leave us in the dark with our video that was never going to be made.

After explaining to Abbey I would be leaving a bad review, she has now blocked me on Facebook so that I cannot leave one on there. Abbey is unprofessional and has been a waste of our time. DO NOT book Abbey to capture your day because she won't do it. I would hate for another couple to go through the pointless waiting, stress and upset that I have gone through.
