Meet the team
Hello, I’m Julie Elizabeth, of Julie Elizabeth Poetry. I live in Oswaldtwistle, surrounded by the rolling beauty of East Lancashire, alongside my husband, an Oswaldtwistle native. It’s a place that inspires my writing.
Poetry is my main creative home, but I’m an avid reader too, with a particular soft spot for crime fiction. Lately, I’ve also been dipping my toes into novel-writing, it’s officially begun, even if it’s very much a work in progress. I’m always keen to learn something new, which recently led me to take up golf, with a sense of humour and a lot of patience.
Most mornings you’ll find me out walking, rain or shine, clearing my head and keeping active. I enjoy staying fit and still swear by the Joe Wicks 90‑day challenge I discovered during Covid. When I’m not working or writing, my favourite things are catching up with family and friends, usually over coffee, lunch, a spot of shopping, or all three.
And when it’s time to truly unwind, my heart drifts to Lanzarote—a place of warmth and calm, perfect for feeling the sun on your face, closing your eyes, and simply relaxing.
