I wasn’t sure if we needed a wedding planner as I had spent 18 months doing it all myself. I had a spreadsheet for everything, however, 7 months before our wedding date I changed venues to one that was DIY and there was no co-ordination included.
I spoke to a couple of companies but I really got a good feeling from Vanessa. She listened to my concerns and that I only needed on the day coordination, I didn’t require anything else as I had done it myself. Vanessa gave us a couple of weeks to think about it and we met again and went ahead.
I already had planned 95% of everything so I sent Riva events all my documents and they went through them, Vanessa and her team came down in their own time to do a site check so they could understand the layout and the requirements for the day.
Riva events took over from around 6 weeks organising vendors, running schedules so everyone knew where and when.
On the day Riva arrived with 3 staff members who were able to sort all the pre wedding styling at the venue so we didn’t need to stress about it. When I arrived Vanessa was there offering water and shots to calm the nerves. Throughout the day the events team worked so hard to ensure every guest was ok, ensured all the old people were ok moving around, coordinating everything to how we wanted, always checking with us that everything is ok. At the end of the evening the events team had also started to derig the venue and boxed everything up for us making the next day easier for us to take down.
I honestly cannot recommend these guys enough. They worked so blooming hard all day arriving around 12pm- leaving after 12am and they arrived home at 230am.

I had the pleasure of working with Vanessa and Rishi at an intimate wedding organised at very short notice due to personal circumstances. The event was stunning from start to finish. No detail had been overlooked - all of the suppliers worked brilliantly together under the guidance of Vanessa and Rishi. Vanessa, Rishi and the team were the perfect partner for our garden wedding. We chose the full package and couldn't have found them to be more caring, organised and responsive. They were onsite before and during the wedding, fixing issues virtually and in person before the day. We loved our wedding colour theme and had a memorable day with all our family and friends. This was the first time I had worked with Riva Events. Vanessa contacted me through Hitched and explained she was looking for a Wedding Celebrant to conduct a fairly small but rather unique wedding ceremony being held at a private venue. Right from the start I was so impressed with the speed of her responses and communication. Nothing was too much trouble.
From our first conversation on the telephone, I got a real sense of her care for the couple and the desire to create a beautiful day for them. And then on the day itself, we were blessed with lovely weather and she and the team had created a perfect setting for the ceremony.
