Katie Lou Weddings is our biggest tip to any couples planning a wedding
We hired Katie as an On the Day Coordinator but she was so much more than that. Katie’s service included taking over supplier contact three weeks before the wedding plus being there for the whole day to ensure everything went perfectly. We couldn’t have asked for anything more.
We knew from our first meeting that Katie would provide us with a trusted pair of hands and a second set of eyes to help the day run smoothly. What we didn’t realise, was how Katie would remove so much stress and free up so much brain space in the lead up to the wedding. She handled everything with grace and efficiency, and we always felt that Katie wouldn’t let anything go wrong.
We had a very difficult few weeks in the lead up to the wedding due to personal reasons. Katie was sensitive to this and took away as much stress as she could. Additionally, when things did go wrong on the day (small errors from other suppliers or guests) she handled these expertly.
We can’t thank Katie enough, and she is our biggest tip to any couples planning a wedding - we are so grateful we chose her. -

Katie is the best!
Katie is the best!! We can’t recommend Katie more. She did such an amazing job organising our wedding. From start to finish we felt like she had everything under control and helped us to execute our vision perfectly. She has great attention to detail and made sure we didn’t forget any of the little details. It was invaluable having her recommendations for flowers, catering etc. We received so many compliments on the flower arrangements in particular. We had 100% trust in her - which was amazing because it meant we could fully relax and enjoy the day and preparations.
Katie was calm, efficient, extremely accommodating and flexible when a few unexpected events occurred in the lead up to the wedding. Firstly, when we had to push the wedding back a year - Katie was able to arrange everything with suppliers so we didn’t loose any, finding suggestions for a new date extremely quickly based on supplier availability. Secondly, when our photographer had to cancel the day before our wedding due to a medical emergency, Katie and our wonderful photographer managed to organise cover at the eleventh hour so we still had photos on the day - and we are so so pleased with how they turned out! -

We knew everything was in safe hands
We were so lucky to find Katie! She was the absolute best on-the-day coordinator from start to finish. She was constantly on hand to answer my questions via phone, zoom or email, even though we were only meant to be working together for a month before the wedding. She has so much experience of marquee weddings and offered us expert advice. She was also super helpful in rallying all the many different suppliers we used, and stepping in when anything went awry ahead of the big day.
On the day, we knew everything was in safe hands. Katie made us feel so calm, and was there to fix even the most trivial of problems whenever they presented themselves. So many of our guests commented on how seamlessly the different aspects of the day ran, and that was all down to Katie! We couldn't have asked for a better coordinator, and cannot recommend Katie highly enough! -

Dream wedding planned in just 6 months, every detail thought of
Our wedding in Oxford was more beautiful, personal and perfect than we ever could have dreamed. Katie didn't just plan a wedding with us, she planned a week full of beautiful events and experiences for our families to enjoy as both sides had travelled far to celebrate with us in Oxford where we met. It was so important to us to be able to thank them for travelling and also give them a view into our lives here in Oxford, and also time to spend with each other before the wedding (many of them had never met!). We were incredibly happy with our florist, hair stylist, photographer, band and our venues (and also venue hires!). Katie truly thought of every little detail and tailored each vendor recommendation to our style and vision (even as that changed and evolved through the process). She was always several steps ahead, and worked with two busy PhD students to bring our dream wedding to life in only 6 months. Not one detail felt compromised, and Katie was always committed to advocating for what we wanted every step of the way.
Our highlights include a rooftop dinner, welcome drinks and tea at our Oxford college, a bus ride in a vintage bus from the ceremony to reception (this started as a practical decision, but ended up being a favourite of ours and the guests!), we also (bride and groom) took a boat down the Cherwell river (so much fun).
We highly recommend Katie to anyone planning a wedding, and we are so thankful for her and everything she has done for us. -

Completely stress-free day
Katie and Rosie ensured our wedding day at home ran perfectly like clockwork, with a completely stress-free day for ourselves. We are so thankful for their planning support, perfect liaison with suppliers and calm presence. I highly recommend! -

Katie has a wealth of connections with suppliers and it was evident that she has many years of experience
We interviewed a number of wedding planners, as soon as we met Katie we both agreed how 'right' it felt. She is warm and down to earth and has a sense of humour. She is completely approachable and non-commercial. We held our wedding reception in a marquee and enlisted Katie's partial planning service which worked really well for our needs. Katie has a wealth of connections with suppliers and it was evident that she has many years of experience on the details! She is very quick to respond even during weekends and when she was supposed to be taking a few days break. Our wedding day was perfect - we couldn't have wished for a better day, a number of our guests commenting that it was the best wedding they have ever attended! We would have no hesitation in recommending Katie and her colleague Sarah. We are very happy clients! Thank you Katie! -

Saved our wedding
We wouldn’t have had a wedding without Katie!
About five weeks before the wedding, we had an in-person meeting with Katie to iron out all the details, which immediately put us at ease. Her professionalism, attention to detail, and calm demeanor reassured us that we were in safe hands.
Everything was going smoothly until a week before the wedding when disaster struck. The marquee company we had chosen went into administration. Not only were we relying on them for the marquee, but also for the flooring, tables and chairs, lighting, and more – the whole wedding day was suddenly in jeopardy.
As you can imagine, everyone involved was mortified, and “stressed” doesn’t even begin to cover it. But to our amazement, Katie remained calm and truly kicked into gear. She sourced everything we originally wanted from individual vendors in no time, showing just how resourceful and determined she is.
Thanks to her incredible efforts, our dream wedding was saved, and we ended up having the best day of our lives. On the day itself, Katie orchestrated everything with such grace and precision. She made us feel so relaxed and reassured throughout, handling every detail behind the scenes so we could focus on celebrating with our loved ones.
If you’re considering booking Katie, stop thinking about it and just do it! She’s a top professional who went above and beyond, not only in the lead-up to the day but especially on the day itself.

From our first meeting we knew Katie was the right planner for us. She listened to exactly what we wanted throughout the process and made our dream marquee wedding come true.
We knew that planning a marquee wedding may be a daunting task alone, but from sourcing & managing suppliers to setup, wedding day management Katie was always there to help.
She made sure the day ran smoothly and we didn’t have to worry about a thing, even when a last minute rain downpour changed our reception plans!

If you're debating whether to get a wedding coordinator, do it, and hire Katie!
We have nothing but wonderful things to say about Katie as our wedding coordinator. Throughout the lead up to the day and on the wedding itself, we both said 'can you imagine if Katie wasn't here' multiple times. She is so organised, friendly, calm and knew all the questions to ask. She takes so much stress away from those final days where there are an exhaustive list of decisions to make. If you're debating whether to get a wedding coordinator, do it, and hire Katie! -

We refuse to believe that there is anyone better than Katie
We refuse to believe that there is anyone better than Katie. She was utterly fantastic. We only engaged Katie to help run the wedding on the day (which included a site visit beforehand and 4 hours on-site the week before the wedding). She got to grips with all of the complicated details and multiple suppliers immediately and, after realising what the more stressful parts of the planning were for us, took them off our plate. She was also very engaged with us from the beginning of our wedding planning - always checking in and answering ad hoc questions which no one else knew the answer to and forewarning us of common pitfalls and things to check. She also had very good supplier recommendations who turned out to be as professional as she was and perfect for the job. She was a complete professional, totally calm, knew everything and was also warm and fun to be around. The perfect person to have coming in and out of your home and garden on the day of your wedding. She was also happy to take on all the tasks that just needed doing, even the very unglamorous ones. She is not a ‘planner from on high’, she is a ‘does whatever needs to be done quietly and perfectly.’ We really couldn’t say enough good things about her - just fantastic. We are only sorry that now our wedding is done, we won’t be seeing her as much! -
