And then there was an extra layer of meaning to the celebration: it was also my father-in-law’s 80th birthday! Having everyone together from both sides of the world made the occasion incredibly emotional and memorable for our families. There were definitely a few happy tears, lots of laughter, plenty of dancing and, of course, an impressive amount of food!

Silchester Farm was the perfect backdrop for all of it. The countryside is absolutely beautiful and gave our family from Chile exactly the glimpse of England we had hoped for. The venue itself is stunning, but what really made the experience exceptional was the team.

A special thank you to Brandon, Aimee and Tia. They were absolutely amazing throughout the whole experience. They were attentive, kind, incredibly helpful and made us feel that everything was under control, even when there were a million little things happening behind the scenes. Their warmth and professionalism made such a difference, and we genuinely felt looked after.

And we have to talk about the food — because WOW. The food was incredible and was such an important part of the celebration for us. Bringing together British and Chilean families meant that food naturally became a big part of how everyone connected, and Silchester Farm completely delivered. There was so much for everyone to enjoy, and we had so many guests commenting on how delicious everything was.

Looking back, one of our favourite parts of the whole experience is knowing that our families travelled from different corners of the world and, for a few beautiful days, became one big family together. We wanted a wedding that felt personal, joyful and unforgettable, and Silchester Farm gave us exactly that.

From the stunning countryside and incredible food to the wonderful staff and the atmosphere they helped us create, we couldn’t be happier with our choice.

Thank you, Silchester Farm, Brandon, Aimee and Tia, for being such an important part of such a special chapter in our lives. We’ll always look back on those days with enormous happiness — and we know our families will too.
