28 Oct, 2025Our Real Wedding
The morning of the wedding I bid my husband goodbye and travelled to Owston Hall Hotel to start my bridal journey. I was joined by my man of honour and my Mum for a complimentary breakfast. Kerry from Studio 22 (Askern) joined shortly who completed my bridal hair and it turned out beautiful. Elise Thompson completed to my make up and transformed me into a beautiful bride. My Mum joined the pampering and she looked stunning. We laughed and reminisced while counting down to the final hour. My Husband got himself ready and our two boys, which I didn’t see until I arrived at the registry office. Our ceremony was short and sweet and the registrar was gracious enough to allow me to walk down the aisle, which normally doesn’t take place for the ceremony I booked. It was a beautiful moment and a memory that will last a lifetime as my brother and step father had the honour of giving me away. Following the ceremony, we arrived at Owston Hall Hotel for our reception. We were welcomed with a glass of fizz, while we waited for our guests to arrive at the venue. My husband and I, shared a intimate moment before the reception, were took in that we were married finally. The grounds were stunning and made beautiful photographs to remember our day. Guests mingled in the conservatory with canapés and drinks started flowing. Our room was dressed beautifully, just as I envisioned it. We had a table to remember our loved ones who unfortunately could not be with us on the day. After the photos, we had our grand entrance which was followed by speeches, first dance and cake cutting. We’re awkward people and panic got the best of us so unfortunately we rushed. We still had the best time. Our first song was beautiful crazy by Luke combs - my partner said it was me embodied in a song and our entrance song was take on the world by you me at six. A beautiful romantic song, that really describes our relationship. Following the first dance the DJ set the mood with the remainder of the night with life is a highway by rascal flats. A fun, light hearted song with a deeper meaning. Our playlist was full of our favourites from pop, charts, pop-punk, mental and even country. We even played K-Pop Demon Hunters for our kids. Overall, we had the most amazing time with our closest friends and family. I married the love of my life, something I never thought was possible and are enjoying married life.
