Our Real Wedding
Our wedding day was everything we wanted it to be – relaxed, full of love, and completely “us”.
My partner and I have been together for ten years and we share two wonderful children, so our wedding felt less like the start of something new and more like a beautiful celebration of the life and family we have already built together. There was no dramatic whirlwind proposal — instead, it was perfectly meaningful and heartfelt. He proposed on one knee with our boys beside him, making it one of the most special and emotional moments of our lives.
We chose outfits that reflected the relaxed, natural feel we wanted for the day. Nothing too formal or stiff – just comfortable, elegant and timeless. My wedding dress was a beautiful £200 find from Stillwhite, and I absolutely loved it. It was truly stunning and made me feel like a million dollars — proof that you really don’t need to spend a fortune to feel incredible on your wedding day.
Our flowers were bright, joyful sunflowers, which perfectly matched the warm, relaxed atmosphere we wanted to create. They brought so much colour and happiness into the day and complemented the beautiful grounds perfectly.

One of the most emotional parts of the ceremony was our boys placing the rings on our fingers. Having them so closely involved made the whole day feel even more meaningful and reminded us that this wasn’t just a wedding — it was a celebration of our family.
Our favourite moment was standing together, looking out at our friends and family, realising that after ten years, two children and countless memories, we were finally sharing this moment with the people who have supported us every step of the way. It was calm, emotional, joyful — and absolutely perfect.
