02 Mar, 2026Our Real Wedding
From the moment I saw the sunrise, I knew our day was going to be special. For an early March wedding, we really couldn’t have asked for more with the beautiful sunshine.
We got married at the beautiful Stratton Court Barn, a wonderful barn venue with 4 options for where you can get married. We chose the main barn for our ceremony, with the byre being the setting for our wedding breakfast. The courtyard is wonderful on a sunny day for drinks, receptions, and photographs. The bar area and stables are a great place for the evening party with plenty of space to bust some moves. We used the on-site cottage for our dog to stay in during the day with a dog chaperone so he could be part of our special day.
The nerves were real on BOTH sides, but as soon as our ceremony was over, it was time to party. We had our little pooch, Louie, as our ring bearer, and usually he is quite yappy, but he was also very nervous until he saw us both at the end of the aisle. There were tears all around from the surprise voice note before my bridal entrance to exchanging vows.

We decided to go straight into our first dance from our entrance (my husband was very nervous), but it was wonderful, followed by our speeches and food.
As soon as the food was over, the party started, everyone was on their feet dancing, having shots and enjoying the day. The party moved into the evening, where there were more drinks flowing, more laughter and more dancing. It was the best day of my life, and being able to look back on my photos and relive the best day is amazing.
