Our Real Wedding

With the groom being Scottish, we chose to get married in Scotland. We were already familiar with our venue, having visited before, and appreciated the stunning location and views. It was a no-brainer to get married at Dunkeld House Hotel. We kept good contact with the venue throughout the lead-up to the wedding, and I would say that the day went without a hitch.

My wedding dress (Browns of Totnes) was everything I dreamed of, and the groom and guests looked great! It was great to see lots of the men rocking the kilts, truly in the spirit of a good Scottish wedding.

The band (The Scottish Soul Collective) were fantastic. We chose an 11-piece soul band, and they did not disappoint! We definitely were tired the next day with all the dancing!

The celebrant (Angela Maughan) made the ceremony run so smoothly. Her words showed she had taken the time to get to know us, and this gave such a personal touch to the ceremony.

The hair and makeup artist (Karen Mason) was well organised and kept the morning running smoothly and on time. She set up her equipment the night before, and she truly looked after me the morning of the wedding, making sure my only job was to relax and enjoy the getting ready part of the day.
