Both my husband and myself are extremely camera shy. So much so, that we debated not having a photographer at all.
I can truly say that we would not have photographs of our wedding without Duncan. His friendly and fun personality immediately put us both at ease during our engagement photos. At this point we knew that we had found a photographer that we trust, and who can make the experience as enjoyable as possible.
Throughout the wedding day, Duncan took a number of candid photographs as well as some staged photographs. This mixture worked well to capture the glitz and glamour of the day, along with some very raw and emotional moments.
As an added bonus, Duncan had taken some Polaroids, which were given to my husband.
After the wedding reception (through some champagne tears and wedding highs) these were a treat to look over.

Whether you’re camera shy, or just want a photographer who really cares about capturing the real moments on your wedding day, Duncan is the man for the job. -

Duncan was just an absolute gem from start to finish!
Key points:
- very responsive
- good fun on the day
- took every single shot we asked for
- the photos came out GREAT
- the printed photos are great quality
We don't live local to our venue, and Duncan was really accommodating, he drove out to meet us for a pre consultation to get to know him and for him to take a look at the venue for shot ideas etc, as we aren't local all other communication was via email, and Duncan replied promptly to each on, which really took the stress out of planning/ organising a shot list, he was brilliant.
Duncan was with us all day, he got loads of great shots of the morning/ us getting ready, and he was SO FUN! always cracking jokes and making people laugh, he took the time to learn everyone's name and the vibes were just impeccable.
During the group photos, Duncan has mastered the art of herding cats, even with my guests wandering off we got all the key shots, some fun ones too!
The variety of photos we got is just brilliant, it's isn't just 1000 photos of all the same backdrop, we got some really lovely shots with nice scenery because Duncan took the time to find the locations first, we didn't waste any time wandering around because he was so organised.
Every single magic moment was captured, he didn't miss a thing!
Duncan was with us from 9am-9pm, but he even stayed a little bit longer when I told him I was going to change into my evening dress, just so I could have a few shots of that, which really was so nice of him as he didn't have to do that. In total we got 1300 photos back within a week!!! We got a few prints on the day too! All of them were edited, the best ones had different options (black and white/ colour pop etc) and they all just came out so perfect!
We've had a few photos printed from him and the quality is second to none. We will be ordering more (when I stop being so indecisive!)
I can't recommend Duncan enough. He was just brilliant. Your wedding photos will be in very safe hands, the man is a pure legend and a joy to be around, and he is amazing at what he does. -

Phenomenal from day 1
We initially came across Duncan via his website and were instantly drawn to his work! The variety of styles and Duncan’s unquestionable experience made our decision to go with him a no brainer. From day 1, Duncan has been brilliant with supporting us as we planned our big day. He responded quickly to any questions we had from the moment we booked him. Moreover, Duncan’s fantastic personality really came through, and his professionalism which made us feel so at ease. We had an engagement session 6 months before our wedding where we had some stunning photos taken outside the Shottle Hall venue. When it came to the big day, Duncan engaged with all our guests who had nothing but positive things to say about him. We also went for the package that included videography and Andy did a smashing job on the day too! The two bounced off each other brilliantly and their sense of humour made such a difference. The wedding day photos were just perfect - over 1100 in total taken which gave us so many memories to look back on for what was the perfect day. The quality of the photos was second to none. I honestly cannot recommend him enough - look no further than Duncan Edward Photography! -

Duncan photographed our wedding on 10/02/2024 and did an amazing job, our pictures are perfect despite us being incredibly uncomfortable in front of the camera. Duncan managed to put us at ease and had all the guest laughing. He added special touches to our photos with bubbles and sparklers and the results are better than I ever thought possible.
Duncan stayed longer than expected to capture everything we wanted and we really appreciate everything he did for us. -

Duncan was fantastic on the day. He was autonomous, flexible and great at managing the large groups for the group shots. He arrived early and left late, telling me not to worry about time. He brought me a selection of small print outs on the day and sent me them via email the next day. The rest of the images are due Friday which is under a week after the wedding. I couldn't thank him enough. So excited to see the images 😍 -

Hi to anyone that reads this review
Yes I have hit five stars on everything.
Duncan is a true professional who takes every little detail of the photos he takes for you into account, he takes his time to make sure that the photos he takes are beautiful and that everything in the photos, every little detail is not missed.
The photos he took for our wedding were so beautiful, perfect and magical. We could have not wished for more. We already know that when the day comes for us to renew our vows we would be honoured for Duncan to be our photographer.
A true gentleman, professional in every way who we got to know and now see as a true friend. -
