Choosing Alan as our wedding photographer was one of the best decisions we made.
From the moment of our very first video call right through to the reception, Alan was incredible. I had a specific style in mind for our pre-wedding shoot and sent him a Pinterest board with inspiration. Alan not only delivered exactly what we wanted but exceeded our expectations.
In the lead-up to the wedding, I was unsure whether the ceremony would be held outdoors, as the weather forecast seemed to change every day and the venue had decided to move it inside. Alan encouraged me to reconsider, as he was confident the weather would be beautiful. I trusted his advice, pushed for an outdoor ceremony, and it turned out to be the best decision, the day was absolutely stunning.
On the wedding day, Alan made both Ewan and me feel completely comfortable and at ease throughout. He has such a warm and kind nature, and it genuinely felt like having a friend by our side rather than just a photographer. His calm presence helped us relax and enjoy every moment of the day.
He captured every moment so beautifully, from the special moments between us to all of our wonderful guests. We are absolutely delighted with our photographs and couldn’t have asked for a better photographer.

Alan was very professional and friendly from the beginning. He explained to us every aspect of the day and took in to consideration our requirements. The photos came back very promptly and they look amazing, we couldn't ask for anything better. On the day of the wedding the weather was very Scottish, all seasons in one day. We couldn't be happier with our wedding photos and the service we received. From the very start, Alan made us feel completely relaxed and comfortable, which was very important to us because we are quite awkward posers for photos! He was professional and respectful throughout the ceremony, working exactly as the reverend requested and being very discreet in the church without moving around excessively or causing any distraction. Despite this, he still managed to capture every important moment beautifully. He caught beautiful candid photos of our guests and venue and was even willing to go on a golf buggy to get photos on the golf course. The whole experience was seamless, and the final photos perfectly captured the atmosphere and emotions of the day. From the moment we met Alan, we knew we were in the best hands. Not only is he incredibly talented, but he is also one of the kindest, most calming people you could have by your side on your wedding day.
He made everything feel completely seamless. There was no stress, no awkwardness, just a natural flow that allowed us to fully enjoy every moment. He managed to be everywhere without ever feeling intrusive, capturing the most beautiful, genuine moments that we will treasure forever.
Alan’s attention to detail is also outstanding, and his ability to capture emotion is something truly special. Every photo feels alive and tells a story. Looking through them brings us right back to the day.
What really sets him apart though is how he made us feel. Comfortable, relaxed, and completely ourselves, which is not always easy in front of a camera. He went above and beyond in every way, and it honestly felt like having a friend there rather than just a photographer.

We chose Alan after seeing examples of his previous work online. We arranged to meet up and were instantly put at ease with his friendly, informal approach. We explained what we wanted and he talked us through various ideas.
Alan is really good at keeping in touch between agreeing to work together and the big day.
On the day itself, his warm and sincere approach really helped us all to relax and enjoy the day. Our guests loved Alan being amongst us and he was really good at working with our oldest and youngest guests which is pretty special.
We are delighted with the photographs. They really show our relationship together and there are some really lovely individual portraits of those we love - Alan captured them perfectly.
I think Alan’s pricing options are fair and he can tailor to your budget.

Alan is great to work with. He sets up photos in such a relaxed way and the results were amazing! So professional yes very friendly and patient! He captured our day perfectly, from getting ready right up to the speeches!
Would highly recommend! He even helped me fix my corsage! -

We booked Alan back in 2023 for our wedding this year following seeing his style of photography and instantly knowing it matched us, he is incredibly natural and you can tell he has a vision with every photo he takes. We really wanted a more natural style just capturing every moment and Alan delivered. We managed to meet Alan before the big day for a few pre-wedding photos which was great as we got to know each other and it made the day so much less awkward as we’d already experienced the ‘how to’ stand, walk & pose!
The photos dropped in our inbox within a matter of weeks and we are buzzing with the results! Quote from my wife: “he took a shit ton of pictures” 🤣 and a quote from my best man “he’s like a ninja, I didn’t see him taking those photos”!
He had a good mix of making things feel very chilled and fun, as well as the right amount of forcefulness to get us and guests to the right place so he could capture the photos and let you get on with mingling/partying.
I remember his pricing being very competitive to other photographers but the value in this was incredible, memories for a lifetime captured.
Photography is the only product that you’re not just buying for 1 day, you’ll keep them forever. Make sure you make the right choice, and if Alan also matches what you envision for your memories, he is definitely the right choice.
He’s also a super nice guy.. I recommend getting in touch and chatting things through with him.

We recently got married at Huntingtower Castle in Perth, and Alan was our photographer. I’ll be honest—I usually hate having my photo taken, so the idea of wedding photos filled me with dread! But from our very first conversation, Alan put me completely at ease.
We did a pre-wedding shoot with him, which made such a difference. It helped me relax and gave me a clear idea of what to expect on the big day. Alan was fantastic with communication throughout and kept us fully in the loop at every stage.
On the wedding day itself, Alan managed that perfect balance—he was present but unobtrusive. He captured so many beautiful moments without us even realising he was there, which is exactly what we wanted. The photos feel natural, relaxed, and genuinely reflect the joy of the day.
He moved through the formal shots quickly and efficiently, so we never felt like we were being pulled away from our guests. Everything felt seamless and stress-free.
We also did table dash photos with our evening guests, and Alan really captured the energy and fun of the reception—again, without being intrusive.
We are absolutely thrilled with our photos and have received so many lovely compliments. We’ll be recommending Alan to everyone we know who’s getting married—he truly was an essential part of what made our day so special.

We absolutely couldn't recommend Alan enough! He was great at communicating and even showed that he was excited for our wedding day which made us feel quite lucky to have someone truly invested in our big day! 🎃
On the day he was incredibly helpful from keeping an eye on the time, organising people where they need to be, helping us get ready, taking photos preparation and guests ariving and also, have a good chin wag with us. Our photos have come out beautifully and they feel really natural for us, lots of smiley faces and creative ideas. He has a lovely eye for detail and created some lovely photos of our decor, vow books and rings. Alan really knows how to capture personality and happiness in a photo and we're truly sad we cannot do the day all over again with him!
