About

Having worked in the photography industry for the last 14 years, Jon is a professional wedding photographer and videographer based on the Fylde Coast in Preston, Lancashire.

The first thing to remember is that this is your big day, no one else’s. With that in mind, I work mainly as a Documentary Wedding Photographer with minimal interruption to your day. ​That doesn’t mean there will not be any posing at all—quite the opposite. It’s all about you and what you wish to take away as memories from the day.

We offer photography and videography packages and can also produce drone photography and videography for your special day. While studying Media Production: Television, Film & Radio in college in 2011, Jon first ventured into Photography when asked to take photos at a local band night and never looked back.

Jon is a highly experienced Photographer with Photography playing a key role in his career over the last 14 years; when he’s not taking photos, his time is still firmly in the creative arena as a director of Lancashire-based Digital Marketing Agency – Meridian Media.

How far in advance should I contact you?

The earlier the better! We have late availability but can not guarantee free spaces

Yes, we are Lancashire based but can cover the UK for an extra cost

Documentary Wedding Photography mainly, with minimal interruption to your day. But that doesn’t mean there will not be any posing at all, we like to capture genuine moments along with the staged ones

Do you offer any tool to display the photos online?

Yes, we use online galleries so your clients can view and download their photos. These are password protected so only the client or people they share with can see

What's the delivery time for a photographic report?

Perfect photographer who cares!

Takes the time to get to know you, and what you are looking for. Will happily take the usual shots, though is very adept at suggesting something slightly different once he understands what you are looking for. Always prepared to spend extra time to get nature you get what you are looking for, and shares the photos super quick post editing

Beyond expectations

We had Jon do the wedding photos recently. We got hitched on the 7th up in Gretna. It rained all day, but Jon had already looked around for places that would be sheltered and still capture the moment shots. His communication was spot on. He was very flexible with ideas and structure to the day. He popped between rooms whilst everyone was getting ready. He wasn't in the way at all and came up with some great poses. We had a party a few days later and he even came to that to take extra photos of the cake, first dance and guests too. Once the photos were ready his style of presentation was beautiful (I won't ruin the surprise for others). We instructed no photos to be shared by anyone onto any social media platforms for our privacy and that was taken on board too. We can't thank you enough - Thank you Jon.

Best Photographer around!!

The biggest outstanding feature from Jon Boriss is his attention to detail.
And how comfortable he makes you feel on the day.
As you can imagine on my wedding day, it was very hectic and very frantic, but Jon was super reassuring.
And went above and beyond the call of duty to help my day feel extra special.
The value you get for your money is better than I could have ever planned for.

Fantastic Photographer

Jon is a fantastic photographer. He did the photography for our 25th wedding anniversary/vow renewal at Singleton Lodge last October. He was so obliging and very professional throughout the day. He then provided our photographs really quickly after our event. A really lovely guy and we would definitely recommend him 📸

Jon and Charlotte were the perfect team to capture our big day last year. Nothing was too much trouble and they worked seemlessly with the staff at the hotel to bring everything together. They were super easy to get on with and very knowledgable in what they do.

Whilst taking on social media ahead of booking responses wernt always as quick as I'd have liked but they did always come back in due course, I suppose it's to be expected with a busy schedule. Would highly recomend and we're looking forward to getting some of the photos printed and framed.
