We highly recommend James. He provided a quality and professional service on our big day. James was very friendly and responded quickly to any queries we had in the run up to the wedding. He asked what we would like from him on the day as well as suggesting ideas we had not thought of. He arrived early on the day to allow himself to get to know the venue and work out where would be good photo opportunities.
We received the link to our finished photos within 3 weeks of our wedding and we absolutely love them. They include all the group photos we asked for as well as so many we didn't even realise were being taking such as the guests socialising and the finer details such as our centrepieces, table arrangements and the ceremony room before all the guests arrived.
We also found James pricing a bargain compared to what other photographers were charging.

James was an absolutely fantastic photographer and I couldn't be happier with my wedding photos. He'd photographed a family members wedding a few years ago and we adored their photos and so we booked him for ours. They're a perfect mix of gorgeous candids and really relaxed group photos. I don't like overly stiff or staged photos and he really captured the fun of the day.

He was so lovely to talk to in the run up to the day and was a great communicator throughout. He listened patiently to my many (many) requests, even the ridiculous ones, and somehow actually managed to get every single photo I wanted on the day - not an easy task as it was a DIY wedding in our garden, we had 30 kids running around and lots of unruly and erratic family members with way too much fizz on the go for people to be sensible past 3pm! But James seemed to effortlessly weave around the different groups and managed to snap some truly treasurable pictures.

I think the best thing about the photos is that he's managed to capture a blend of staged group photos as well as candid ones and also did a great job of catching groups together. He also took photos of the little details at our venue that made our wedding so special - the cakes and flower decorations my family had made, the table settings and favours.

The church pictures were especially beautiful. I actually didn't see him at all in the church - he was very inconspicuous! The lighting was beautiful as it was candle lit and it really came through in the photos.

He can turn a tricky situation around as well - it was really windy for a lot of our pictures and after the wedding before I received the photos I was worried they wouldn't turn out well. Also it's so hard to take pictures of little kids as when you ask them to pose they tend to get shy - but James was able to work around it all and every picture is just fabulous.

I was especially pleased that he was able to get a photo with us and our small children. They were a little grumpy and overstimulated during the family photos and I worried that he wouldn't have managed to get a nice picture with them, but he was able to snap them at just at the right moment and I got exactly what I wanted - a beautiful family photo of our children at our wedding which I'll treasure forever.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone and if I ever have another event to photograph he'll be my first port of call!

James was so easy to talk to and listened to what we wanted and captured just that! The photos were amazing, just wish we could do it all again! But so pleased we have the photos to remember the day! They came back earlier than expected and james is always quick to respond. Thank you!
